I made an appointment and was there for about 45…read moreminutes when the man who helped me at the front desk came back with an estimate on what needed to be done on my car. HERE IS WHERE THE ISSUE STARTED. He sat down and informed me that multiple things needed to be done on my car, and they needed to be done before I could get my alignment, including a NEW CV AXLE which I had just gotten done a month beforehand. If I would have never gotten my CV axles replaced before going in, I wouldn't have known they were trying to rip me off. I told the worker that I had just gotten my CV axles replaced, and he first questioned me on whether they were my CV axles that actually got replaced. Then, when I showed him my receipt, he went out to talk to the mechanic, and then CLAIMED THAT THEY DIDNT NEED TO BE REPLACED, and there was just oil on them, that's why he thought they needed to be replaced. A grown man, came and tried charging a 17 YEAR OLD WOMAN $500 DOLLARS TO REPLACE SOMETHING I HAD GOTTEN REPLACED THE MONTH BEFORE, and then goes to tell me he made a mistake, and it didn't need to be replaced. Enough said, the moral of the story is to either get a second opinion, or don't go to brakes plus. Below is an image of my receipt for the work I had gotten done, and a month later, told by brakes plus I needed the same work done, and then went back and said they made a mistake and I didn't need the work done because they made a mistake.

I am always on the lookout for providers that take pride in their work, provide an honest assessment…read moreof the issues and charge a reasonable price. Integrity automotive is that place. My new go to for anything Auto, needing attention. I dropped off one of my favorite pets yesterday ( Red F-150 King Ranch). It's a great truck and I've had a couple of " less than" at a local Ford dealership in recent years I wasn't repeating those expensive mistakes so went on a week's long search, ending up here. I can't say enough good things about Daniel and the others here. My comprehensive list of concerns was addressed the same day. Another minor issue was uncovered and addressed. My experience at other places is you leave you vehicle a day or week, finally getting a call describing a shocking list of needed repairs and national debt price tag. Not here. In and out one day! I suggest you... Go! Thanks Integrity!

Good: Trustworthy Bad: N/A…read moreOverall: My default car repair company My vehicle started making a terrible grinding sound that made me concerned I may do damage if I continued driving it. I called a few places to get an idea of a quote for what I thought was likely the cause. The dealer gave a quote that was significantly higher than Integrity. I expected this but it really was surprising how much more. Another repair shop wouldn't even venture a guess, despite my acknowledgement that without seeing it, any suggestion was based on a lot of assumptions that could be wrong. I had my vehicle towed to the shop right before a snow storm was forecasted. They told me it would likely be looked at after the storm passed, but they were able to look at it the same day. They found that I made a mistake I made that cause a bolt to come loose. This was the cause of the noise. They charged me for a bolt and 30 minutes of work. They could have easily made the repair I expected with a significantly higher cost. They called to explain what they found and tell me it was ready. I cannot speak to cost because my resolution was so easy it didn't require long to fix. However the honesty they displayed impressed me. This shop is now a place I will visit when I need help. The complexity of issues I may face with my vehicle means that I could be fleeced, but they earned my trust.

I had to go find them again to scan the system to cancel the lights. And they said the "lights were on when they got the car." I told them that's why I reached out and offered business. Wasn't it their job to wrap it up before saying the car is ready? Service - I chose them because they said they offer the service to send the car back to me without me having to show up there. And it was communicated that they could have the car fixed within the day. It was discounted after they got the car, saying they didn't even have the parts ready by the end of the day and that they had to wait one more day. Plus, they told me they could only Uber me to their plant to pick up the car instead of sending it back to me. They should not OVERPROMISE on such supporting services as the customer chose them for the sake of time. It turned out I had to cancel lots of errands, which would have been totally avoidable if they had been upfront and decent from the beginning and throughout the service. I gave them two stars instead of one only because the manager showed a good attitude and admitted that they should have done a better job. Anyway, the experience was NOT pleasant.

I recently took my brother's 2009 truck into Fifth Gear Automotive for a pretty major assessment…read morebecause multiple things were going wrong. The truck ended up needing significant work, including a new transmission, front-end suspension issues, a steering column, and a variety of other items. What really impressed me, though, was the integrity and honesty of the team at Fifth Gear. Instead of just pushing me to authorize a huge repair bill, they had a genuine conversation with me about whether it made sense to invest that much into such an old vehicle. Their advice wasn't about making a quick buck--it was about what was genuinely best for me and my brother's truck, which he depends on for his work. That level of transparency and character is something you don't always find, and it's exactly why I'll be recommending Fifth Gear Automotive to anyone who asks. Even though we ultimately decided not to proceed with the repairs, they've earned my trust and future business. Kudos to the team for their professionalism and integrity!
