We went there before a flight out with limited time waitress Niara was great and we said we had 30 minutes, what would be appropriate to order in that time frame, my vegetarian daughter was excited they served the impossible burger and that would work. I ordered perch sandwich wilth Mac and cheese side. A man came out 10-12 minutes later and said "no impossible burger, want something else?" There was one other customer in the restaurant. Unfortunately now we had no time. Mac and cheese was great with cavatappi noodles! Perch not so much. Waitress was very good, customer service, again, not so much. I ordered the salmon dinner.... Over cooked... The thinner part was like beef jerky. Green beans very salty.... Smashed potatoes were flavorless. Decor is very nice. Waitress was friendly. Kitchen was very slow. We had a party of 12 ( only two other dueces in the whole restaurant) and they served the table as it was finished in the kitchen so by the time the final two people received their orders, the first people were completely done. Steaks (filet mignon, sirloin) were way overcooked. Tartar sauce was super salty. Mixed drinks were yummy but expensive. We asked to see the manager to get a discount for the the last three meals that arrived twenty minutes after the other meals.... Twenty minutes and the manger had not yet arrived. read more

Can't quite believe it but just had one of the better filets I have had in a long time. The onion rings were crisp and tasty and not greasy and the broccoli and asparagus were prepared well. It was pretty good. Went on a night the computers were down so it was cash only and a limited menu. The wings were pretty good the Caribbean jerk chicken flavor was yummy, even ordered some to go. The blackened chicken was good, a bit heavy on the sauce, but overall good flavor and lots of leftovers. Demetrius was a great bartender/waiter. Very friendly, knowledgeable and even cracked a joke or two. The restaurant and bar area got busy but he was able to take orders WITHOUT writing them down and he got them right. Nevertheless, the food is delicious as well. For starters Miranda was amazing!!! I came here on vacation just for the "on the run tour" and stayed at the Four points near by. I was looking for food and stumbled upon this place. My mom ordered the fish and chips which were really good. And I ordered the blackened chicken pasta. That was really good too. Everything was really really fresh and affordable. Both meals were $14 each. It was a good quantity of food too. We got desert as well, the Chocolate cake which was very rich. I only gave 4 stars because the temperature of the restaurant was unbearably cold. The environment was very cozy though it is good for an adult drink at the bar or a family. The decor was modern and updated. Everything was clean. The staff was so friendly. If I'm ever in Detroit again anytime soon I will definitely be back. read more

So disappointed in this restaurant. The only good thing was the chicken wings with jerk sauce.Beer was cold but i didn't order it. The waitress offered to take it back but she seemed so angry, I didn't want to ask her to. They ended up closing the restaurant at 7pm because everything was so disorganized. Ehhh. I go here because there aren't many options nearby if you're staying at the hotel. It's a food choice mostly out of desperation, not by choice. The food is lackluster and not worth the price. Came for the French onion soup. But he hole meal was great. Started with a perfect Manhattan, followed by there frech onion soup and a blue cheese burger and fries, which were also very well done. Sloooooow service. Took an eternity to get our first drink and a glass of water. Of the three beers I tried to order they were out of every one. So we ordered old fashioneds. This took a long time to to get to us. They were ok. We ordered a hamburger and a chicken club sandwich. I asked for a baked potato instead of fries. Because it took so long to get our first drink, I thought I was safe to order a lablatt. At this point our food came. The burger was actually pretty good. The chicken was kind of gross. I never thought I would say something had too much cheese but it did. And no baked potato in sight. When I asked, she left to get it...then came back and said that they were out of potatoes. How does a steak house run out of potatoes? That's just bad kitchen management. Then 20 minutes after our meal came...out came our beer. At this point I was full and hardly could drink the beer. I returned and was very disappointed this time. I went there twice while I stayed there, and the first visit was ok but the second was really bad. It appeared they were under staffed. On the second visit, I sat at the table myself as no one was there to seat me for a while. I had to ask for a menu. I had to ask the waitress to come for my order. It took a long time for the hamburger to arrive. The fries were barely warm. The bun tasted like the one from the grocery store. No one wants to pay $10.00 for this; McDonald does a better job. While I was still eating, the waitress was quick to bring the bill. It was the only time she was quick. Inside was the bill to charge to the hotel room, unlike the previous night when I was given a choice to pay there or charge to the room. I called the waitress to get the bill to pay there. I put my credit card in the holder with the top showing from it and placed it at the edge of the table, making it very visible to the waitress. She didn't come for a long time. I finally waved to the manager passing by. She questioned about the charge for the ice cream which was free. I paid the bill and left. read more

This was my first time at Urban Steak. I thought the service was a little slow considering how many people were in the restaurant at the time. I ordered my meal takeout and brought it up to my hotel room. My baked potato was lukewarm, but not enough for me to personally complain about. The steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly and it was so tender and delicious.
