We enjoyed dinner here had the Cajun chicken pasta Great true Cajun spice cooked perfectly pasta was perfect chicken breast was absolutely perfectly cooked but be aware it's a huge portion Service by Nina was outstanding super friendly never ending smile truly made two tired travelers relax We'll definitely be back next time in the area Hats off to the chef for an exceptional meal. read more

The chicken sandwich was wonderful but the Server Yolanda was outstanding. The weather in April in Toledo was terrible so I was forced to stay next door at the Sheraton since I could not get a ride until the next day. I went to the only restaurant open and YOLANDA made my day. She did a terrific job and the food was great. Thank you YOLANDA!!!!! I would not mess around looking for restaurants around the airport go to see Yolanda at Urban Steak!!!!!! read more

Food was pretty mediocre. The menu in the website is not accurate. They only have about 1/3 of the items listed on their actual menu. No filet, no porter, only three starter options. My husband's steak was way undercooked. Overpriced for food that wasn't great. read more

Great food and Margie our waitress was awesome! one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. My wife loved her Urban burger! With cold beer on tap and good wine, why go anywhere else? read more

This restaurant is in Holiday Inn, in the airport area. The area doesn't v have a ton of choices, so I was happy to have found this piece! The filet mignon was delicious and the service was great. The location is clean as well. Downsides? Only one side dish is included. Also, no asparagus (lol) Enjoy! read more

This is hit and miss depending on what you order. My family h as requested that I don't order from here anymore especially carry out. Sliders thumbs down overcooked and dry. Chicken Breast sandwich overcooked and dry. Fries are just terrible. read more

Unless you have no other place to go, do not go here. The steak is over cooked, topped with a gross gravy and no effort to correct. But if you are starving , and the gas station across the street is closed, then you should try. read more

The food was excellent and was served in a peaceful ambiance. The food was hot where it needed to be, the onion soup was tasty and hot, we were able to have a wonderful salad with apples and dried cherries that was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant and come back in the future. I would say it gets five stars. Megan took care of us today and we're gonna leave her a nice tip read more

Better than I would have expected in a Holiday Inn and not bad for the price. The Caesar salad was drenched in dressing so if that doesn't appeal to you make sure to tell them lay off just a bit. The sirloin was cooked to the medium rare temperature I asked for but I thought it was a little too salty, which is sometimes done to cover up lack of flavor in the beef. I would come back given the lack of choices in the area but burger would have been a safer choice. read more

Could be much Better if the " aggressive" girl behind the bar would calm a bit. Just a bit. Slamming dishes aggressive ways with customers Steak was dry not great disappointed She like a take over I'm in charge type seen it 100x glad she didn't wait on me at bar. Feel sorry for the guy bartender who has to deal with her read more

The meat-steak was poor. It's not the first steakhouse I've visited in the USA. But it's the worst one. Ordinary meat and a very high price. According to this prices I will expect to have a nicer meal. The service was nice but the name of the restaurant is URBAN STEAK not URNAN SERVICE. read more

Walked in for dinner with some coworkers. Coming from the holiday inn I had a can of Coca-Cola in my hand. I looked for a trash can prior to entering the restaurant with every intent of throwing it away. Sat at the bar and was met with an attitude from the hostess/bartender/waitress "Can I get you something else to drink besides the can of coke you thought you'd walk in here with" Like I did it with malicious intent. Awful customer service skills. read more

I did not enjoy my food here. The blackened chicken pasta actually looked amazing & turned out to be so flavorless! The onion rings were hard and cold. The wings were over cooked. The only decent item I tasted from here were the sliders. They were actually very tasty but everything else, complete thumbs down and I will not be returning. read more

I was introduced to Urban Steak by my sister G. She advised that I try the French Onion Soup. So of course I did. It was the best French Onion Soup that I've tasted! Then I order the BBQ Bacon burger and it was good too. This have become one of my favorite restaurants. The service was fantastic! Karra gave awesome customer service. She was very attentive and provided options and insight to the menu. Thank you Karra! Urban Steak...Two Thumbs Up! read more

Urban Steak - Love the deserts! - American Near Me - Romulus, Michigan

Rather average. Meats were average but asking for top dollar $40ish. Service was average. Side dishes and appetizers were average. Steak was over cooked as well as the salmon and other dishes in my party. I'd classify this place as a typical hotel restaurant but at top dollar prices. read more

My favorite is the French Onion soup they have the best staff. Lunch time is a great to come in for reasonable price.

I am taking Covid into consideration. I heard great things about this place and decided to give it a chance. Maybe when business was booming, things were better. The Ceasar salad looked like it was poured from a bag. It was very limp and more yellow green than green.. The shrimp tasted like they were poured from a bag too. They didn't look anything like the pics that had my mouth watering for them!! I won't give up on them because Covid has a lot of businesses struggling to just hold on, but I won't be until things turn around. read more

My husband and I were staying at the hotel next door after a very long day of moving, and came in for a late night bite to eat after checking in. It was very quiet, as they just re-opened due to COVID. Our server was super friendly and attentive. My hubby and I split the Ribeye with a baked potato and broccoli, and a Caesar salad. Everything was fabulous. The steak was cooked perfectly. So nice to have been able to enjoy a great meal at the end of a stressful day! Highly recommend. read more

Just checked into the Holiday Inn, told me the restaurant is closed on FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS! I specifically chose this hotel cuz there was a restaurant. What kind of restaurant is closed on a Friday? read more

After a great week working in the great state of Michigan I was anxious to have one last nice meal at a nice place. I had an early flight in the morning so I noticed this place across the parking lot from my hotel. Like you, I read a few good Yelp reviews so off I went in search of a good steak and nice service. Unfortunately, I got neither at Urban Steak. The waitress was standoffish, she rushed me along to order than virtually disappeared and when I did see her, she couldn't manage to crack much of a smile. The steak itself was cooked right but it was a cheap looking and tasting strip steak. I'm cringing now that I paid $30 for what I got. Despite the name, this is not a steakhouse. It's a typical bar food/burger place. A bad last impression of an otherwise good week. If you want a sandwich, may be ok but I would not recommend getting steak at Urban Steak read more

This food is delicious . Wasn't feeling my best today you know how they say food makes you feel better. I have been cured of my unhappy day. I ordered all this beautiful ness off the lunch menu. The steak literally melts in your mouth!!! read more

I tried to order- the server that answered the phone was rude. I asked for Maui Tacos and she said those were seasonal and to look up DoorDash for a menu. I was on the Urban Steak website. She then hung up on me as I was asking a different question about the menu. read more

Magnificent service! Karl is wonderful and his memory is impeccable! Totally enjoyed myself! I had the burger with spicy pepper jack cheese, the buffalo wings were on POINT! And the daiquiri was a drink to remember. A great experience that I didn't expect! Definitely will return when I am back in town!!!! read more

This place is good for a weary traveler spending a night in Romulus. The Traverse salad and Mac/cheese was really good. Bourbon Street chicken was basic breast with syrup which is what I would prefer over a surprise that would make travel difficult the next day. Our server Lavonda was great and the other 2 ladies seemed attentive to their customers. read more

Great service and a very nice staff... I had the Traverse City salad ... I should have taken the photo before I started to eat the salad... This is a small for $6.00 and it is really fresh... A lot of cherries and walnuts.... The salad dressing was a perfect pairing .... read more

The bartender, Kelly was friendly and accommodating. That's about the only thing positive I can say about the place. How this place has even 3+ stars was beside me. The Mahi tacos when they set them down smelled like they fished them out of dirty pond water a week ago. My husband's steak had a gross sauce on it so he order a different one without the sauce and the meat was as tough as leather. He asked for it to be prepared medium. Needless to say he ate fries for lunch. The beer selection is good. Don't go if you are more than thirsty. read more

Unfortunately, the day that my son and I were there, they did not have the fish tacos nor did they have another entrée on the menu. Also, the service was extremely slow and we ended up having to ask for our own bill. read more

Nice surprise out in hotel "alley" near the airport. Not many restaurants around so had one option. Lucky for me it was a great dinner after long day of biz travel and work. I had the Burnt Onion burger, and it was fantastic. Definitely worth a late night nite or drink at the bar. read more

Good food, nice service. Seems a little understaffed though. Very convenient for guests in the hotel and the nearby ones too.

We were in town for hockey tournament. Waiting on room to be ready. Went and had lunch there. Food was fantastic and reasonable priced. Also Had dinner there too. So nice we didn't have to go out side in the cold rainy weather! We usually never eat at the hotel restaurants because they are so over priced. Very please with urban steak !!! read more

Ok, so this is my second time coming to this restaurant, I wanted to wait because it's a pretty quiet, laid back restaurant ( even with the televisions going) I wanted to see the environment differently. Well I must say both times I came, it's a chilled spot, sharing the space with the Holiday inn. Of course you don't have to stay at the hotel to eat, because it has its own interest. The ambiance is nicely suited, you can either make this a Date night, or a lunch spot. Either or, it's a good place be at. Did I mention they have free WiFi ... yes with a outlet at any of the booths. So you can come and have some very good food, while getting some work done. I would recommend this place. If you decide to come ask for " John", he is the sue Chef, very cool guy , He took my order, recommended some food, offered a few different types of beer to drink. He came around in a timely fashion to see if I needed anything!! And he actually wanted my feed back on my food, which made my opinion feel appreciated. All the while I thought he was a waiter, when he actually wasn't which made it epic. I would've gave this place a 5 but when I walked in the door. What I soon discovered to be the waiter. Was talking to someone else , and when I asked do I have to seat myself, she said yes, as if I was bothering her. For the next hour in a half. She proceeded to ignore my table, and help other customers as they entered the restaurant. Always as if she looked down at me. And let me explain, there were only 2 customers at any given time! So it was quite clear she did not want to service my table, by avoiding me at anytime. But thanks to John, I wasn't completely turned off, because I would've walked out , if he didn't come and offer to assist me. A Jack of all Trades! read more

The service was friendly, if a bit distracted. I had the half slab of ribs which was as good as the waiter promised. If I were you, I would pass on the calamari appetizer. It might have well been fried corn meal ; it had little taste. The dip was just as tasteless. But the ribs! Kudos to the chef! read more

Not that there are a lot of options for restaurants in the area. But because this restaurant did 't have any reviews, I was hopeful. Sat at the bar in hopes of quicker service, I was wrong. One bartender for the bar and the whole restaurant. She worked her tail off, but one person can only do so much. Took at least 40 min. To get my food. Again, sitting at the bar is normally faster. But, was hopeful because it took so long I was in for a culinary delight. Again, I was wrong. Ordered the steak and fries. They were cold when I got them and the steak, although cooked right was tough and lacked flavor. I would be willing to try this place one more time, in hopes that I caught it on an off night. But first impressions were not good. read more

I don't know who ever rated this before but it was awful from beginning to end. Do not even go in the door! Terrible service. Seriously, the worst! Scary, stressed out waitress. Couldn't even get the beer order correct. The absolute worst salmon I have ever had. So dry it stuck to me teeth. Perch sandwich was so gross that we had to take the perch out and replace it with French fries. Honestly, I would have been happy to just have the wrong drink & leave. Please do yourself a favor. Go anywhere else!! A one star rating is generous! read more

Great cocktails, friendly service and decent food with reasoanble prices. The spinach dip was pretty good, shrimp app was amazing, wings were tasty and the fish and chips were not good. The breading was not good and fries were kind of flaccid. I didn't really eat much of it. read more
