Convenient hotel restaurant with friendly service and solid lineup of burgers, salads, steaks and pub food. Bar area, featuring cocktails and about a dozen draft beers, is usually hopping with guests from the two hotels that share the same parking lot. Bubbling French onion soup, savory and generously topped with melted cheese, was outstanding. House salad, packed with fresh veggies, makes a meal with or without optional proteins. Tasty fish and chips are served with malt vinegar and housemade tartar sauce. Cedar-planked salmon came with mounds of steamed broccoli and mashed redskin potatoes. Several good pie options for dessert.

The Mac and cheese and the French onion soup was good but I feel like the French onion soup was kinda over hyped. My friend said she liked her wings. The pumpkin praline cheesecake was really good as well.

We went to this place when we were staying near the Detroit airport during a recent visit. We didn't feel like driving into the city, so we were left with limited options. We walked over to here from the Embassy Suites with zero expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and friendliness of this place! We sat at the bar and were greeted by our bartender- I can't recall this gentleman's name, but he was social and affable. We ordered a few drinks, the (homemade!!!) mozzarella sticks, the French onion soup (amazing!), a burger, and a special (a burger quesadilla). The portion sizes were huge and the food was tasty! We brought a lot home! Additionally, everything felt like it was made there. It was just a random food venue on a Holiday Inn, but it was actually a tasty experience! I would recommend if you are in the area and have no intentions of heading to the city!

Blackened chicken-- Pretty good flavor, but spicy and salty. Also wasn't a fan of the sprinkled Cajun seasoning all over the top of the dish.

Absolutely NOTHINGA to complain about. The ribs were seasoned perfectly. Not dry at all! The macaroni?! OMG! Soooo cheesy and oerfectky seasoned as well. The cornbread?! Lightly crispy on the edges and top, moist and yummy on the inside. I'll be coming here everyday while here in Detroit/Romulus. Bye DoorDash. This restaurant is located on the 1st floor of my hotel! PERRRRFECT!

The husband and I were looking for something different on a Friday night and came across this place. I'm not one to eat at hotel restaurants, esp. if I'm not staying in that hotel, but he convinced me based on the reviews. The place was completely dead when we walked in at dinnertime. There was no music but they were blaring some reality TV show at the bar. And a kid was crying at the other end of the restaurant. Not a great first impression but we still decided to stay and eat. Our server Nina was really friendly and personable. She was surprised when we told her we weren't travelers or airline employees. Obviously French onion soup was a must. I ordered the steak (medium rare) with some mac and cheese as my side. My husband got the fish and chips meal. The soup was incredible. So rich. I loved it. I had to remind myself I had an entree coming soon or I'd have licked the crock clean. My steak was very thin and thus pretty overcooked. Luckily it was still tender. Nina offered to have it remade but it was fine. I was actually more disappointed that the steak wasn't seasoned in any way. I salted and peppered the crap out of that thing. Same goes for the mac and cheese. It was really cheesy, but didn't taste like much. I had to add a bunch of salt and even requested some sour cream to give it a kick. Jacob enjoyed his fish and chips. The fries were reminiscent of McDonald's fries. We both enjoyed them. I had a Yelp check-in offer for a free dessert, so I ordered cheesecake. It was SO GOOD. Rich, dense. Mmmm. Overall, we had a decent meal. Not sure I'd go for the steak or mac and cheese again due to lack of flavor. But service was great and everything else was tasty.

A real urban contemporary style. Cozy bar with a few large televisions and at the lounge area. Wait staff was very friendly. There was only a few people in just sitting at the bar and we were able to pick either a booth or tables near a water fountain wall. Dinner didn't take long and the food was excellent. We ordered an appetizer and I had the onion soup before dinner. My hubby ordered the ribeye which was cooked to his liking and very tender. The most expensive dinner is only $40, so with an appetizer you're looking to spend about $50. Our bill was $68 for two entrées, an appetizer, soup and salad.

Good food, nice service. Seems a little understaffed though. Very convenient for guests in the hotel and the nearby ones too.

This place is great with reasonable prices. It's a true mom and pop diner. I miss places like this…read morein Hawaii. It's my second time dining here. We ordered the mini breakfast with one egg, two slices of bacon and hash browns $4.95. We also got the corned beef hash with two eggs, toast & jelly $8.50. For the side orders we got a bowl of grits $3.50 and three piece pancakes $6.95. We washed it down with a coffee $3.50 and orange juice $3.95. Everything was good. Honestly, it's kind of hard to mess up breakfast items. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. It was my third time having grits and it's still meh to me. It's kind of like oatmeal, but more grainy. My hubby added butter and sugar to it. They also sell sandwiches, burgers, salads and a whole bunch of dinner entrees.

It was no hello, hi, how are you... just takeout or dining in and when I mentioned dining in, she wasn't too thrilled. So we chose our booth and sat down. The waitress attitude at the beginning was not welcoming at all. To the point where my nephew that is 6yrs old asked, whats wrong with her. We placed our order and when the food arrived, all of us where excited. The food looked and tasted great. Hats off to the chef. We had a table full of pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and drinks. By time we were ready to go, the waitress seemed in a better mood. Maybe she was having a rough start to her day. I commented on her earrings to make her smile. Although the experience wasn't the best initially, we all have "off" days and i wont hold it against them. The food is delicious and I will be back.
