This is a very large dive bar with great prices on drinks and food. The vibe is very "wide-open" with no booths, only tables. They can accommodate large groups, though. They've got pull-tabs, which is always a treat for me. The bartender was a sweetheart. I ordered the french dip sliders and they were absolutely delicious. The fries were standard. The only bad thing about this place is that the bathroom smelled like an absolute sewer AND they had fruit flies in December. They definitely have some plumbing problems. Amazing sandwiches! My first time trying corn beef and it was delicious. The sandwiches were huge and the bread was very fresh. The sandwiches were large enough to share or have leftovers. The menu prices were very affordable. I highly recommend the turkey Reuben or Corned Beef sandwich. Happy hour specials are offered daily. It's a great place for large groups and the inside is very spacious. You can dine inside or outside on the enclosed patio. They do allow smokers on the outside. The inside has a large full bar. You can dine at the bar or one the spacious tables. The service was a little slow getting our order but extra friendly. The food came out super fast once ordered. This place is my go to when I'm flying back to Vegas from visiting family. It's close to the airport and convenient for all of the family to meet and see me off. Today Tomika was our everything. She had our party of 12.....including 5 kids....and a full bar and tables. She was amazing! Never missed a beat and was on top on everything. The fish I had 3 giant pieces of cod, coleslaw, fries and a roll. I'm also not usually a French fry lover because I only like them hot & fresh which these were. The sauce that came with tarter which I didn't try and a delicious red hot sauce. The rest of my co workers arrived and ordered pulled pork sliders, jalapeño poppers, chicken cheesesteak and black bean burger. The portions are huge so go hungry or share! Ok, so when we pulled up we looked around because we thought it was going to be a fast food joint. There were a lot of factors that had us looking sideways but it was almost midnight and we were starving so we decided to go for it. This place did not disappoint! It was a great vibe and a totally mixed crowd. The music was bumping 2000s hip hop and the waitresses were similar to urban style Hooters restaurant girls. The food was massive and it tasted great! I had a burger and fries and the hubby had the pastrami and corned beef sandwich and that was . The price was very reasonable and the service was great! The ONLY thing that annoyed me was that I had to pay too much for a little bottled water with my meal even with ordering food and drinks. I'm really torn whether to give this place a 2 or 3 star review. The food was good. It tasted yummy. BUT the fruit flies were awful! So much so that one landed in our cheese fries. My hubby took a pic but I won't disgust you with that. We showed the server and she just threw it out. There was no offer to remake them. Actually, that was fine. We needed to leave. Wouldn't you? I have to be honest that I come here more often than I should, especially given that I don't like it that much. It's just super convenient and close to where I work so easy spot to meet up with friends after work. Inside is ok. They recently removed the faded old menus that were glued to the table. Everything is just old and worn out, place needs a little love. Beer and food is relatively cheap. Beer is never ice cold and sometimes doesn't taste right. Not sure how else to explain it but blue moon or Stella are pretty common beers but they just taste different here and not in a good way. Food comes out in large portions and pretty quick... it's meh. Service is definitely hit or miss. Some servers are great and others terrible... terrible like they disappeared on us multiple times. This place has sooo much potential just missing a few critical pieces. Will I go back? Probably... reluctantly but probably. Always in hope of better experience. read more

We liked Airport Wheat and Rye in the past for its big, delicious sandwiches but hadn't been there in years. So, seven of us went yesterday (9/21/2025) when it opened, at 12 Noon. We were the only guests besides another couple, and we all sat in the enclosed outdoor patio. Our table was not clean and had to be wiped off even though we were the first ones there. After we were seated, a man came and started sweeping up debris left around the tables behind us. Leaving food debris overnight is a haven for pests. The menus were very ragged and heavily soiled with notes and corrections written on them with a red marker. We used hand sanitizer after handling the menus. Cups of regular and decalf coffee were ordered, however, there was no decalf coffee and no coffee creamer available. Who sells coffee without having creamer? When asked about coffee refills, we were told that free refills only applied to soda orders. Water was requested with our meals. I then recalled reading in a prior review that there was a charge for water, which I didn't believe as there was no mention when the orders were taken and it was not noted on the menu. When I inquired, we were surprised to learn that the restaurant only provided bottled water at $1.95 per bottle, so six of us cancelled the water order. It began to rain and within 10 minutes time, we moved to three different tables to find one on the patio that didn't have rainwater leaking on it from the roof. When the food was served, three out of four orders of fries were missing and had to be requested twice more before they were finally delivered. The 'Cajun' fries had a few specks of pepper on them, otherwise completely unseasoned and tasteless. The saltshaker was very soiled, and the pepper shaker was almost empty. A cheeseburger was ordered with only tomato and onion, but the burger came without the onion. A fish sandwich (cod) came done on the outside but found to be hard on the inside when one bite was taken, as if the fish was partially frozen. When the sandwich was sent back, we were told 'twice' that the cook (called Ty) would not take it off the bill, substitute it for something else or replace it. We requested Ty to come and speak to us or to be able to speak to him at the bar. The server returned saying, "I asked him, but he said he didn't have time for that." By that time, there were only eight other guests in the whole restaurant. We gave the restaurant two stars because three out of seven of our meals were really great, but if you have a choice to go elsewhere, by all means do so. We won't be going back. read more

Went on a date (12/19/23) at Wheat and Rye and the waitress was RUDE as fuck. Rude from start, asked for the food menu, "Well I got to drink order first" with a whole snappy attitude. If it wasn't for my date saying they wanna eat there I would have left. Who tf brings the check before you even check to see if we need a refill to see if everything is good. And rushed us to pay "I need y'all to gone and cash out so I can go" we weren't even done with our food. I had to ask for a refill and still waited 10 minutes to get it. She rudely pushing chairs out the way and nobody (Wheat and Rye employees) is saying anything. Y'all need to do better. And she thought she was getting a TIP NO MAAM. I've only been here during lunch and called for a big carry-out order on a Sunday late afternoon. Waitress sounded less than enthusiastic when she told me to "hold on" and laid the phone down. I then listened to 10 minutes of chatter amongst the staff about scheduling, griping about duties and how another's breakfast burrito was all interspersed with F-bombs. Finally I tried calling from my other phone and it rang busy (because they had me on the other line) after half dozen more attempts I gave up. I guess the airport and business lunch crew is preferable to the weekend one. The menu at the other locations looked great while this one seems pared down. We won't ever go back. The place felt dirty, the floors were sticky, and the menus were old and faded. They overcharge you for a bottle of water and it's not cold. We had to ask for a glass with ice. Ambiance was not my kind of thing I'm afraid. The rap music was a bit loud. The air was not fresh but had a 70's marijuana quality to it.

I will start with upon arriving there were 3 tables with food all ready served. We sat ourselves as directed. We're given menus promptly and our drink order was even taken right then. Next to us a party of 8 came in. Our waitress gave them same prompt service. However they got their drink well before us. Our waitress shows up at our table completely forgetting that she already took our drink order. Once we got our drinks she took our order. We ordered poppers as an appetizer. Everyone ordered deluxe (fries/coleslaw) with our sandwiches. After about 45 min we see the large party getting their food. She finally brings THREE of our meals out. Only one is complete(delux). We told her she was missing fries for my husband and myself along with our poppers. We eat at my daughters prompting as she's waiting. Our waitress returns and asks....how is everything?? I immediately say well WE ARE missing a complete order and fries. She then brings out chilli cheese fries(didn't order) and then my daughters burger shows up. We still ended up short a fry and no Poppers. Think we just gave up! As we are all practically finished she brings our poppers...and says, there was a problem with the fryer. Once we get our bill...it lists everthing we ordered and a couple things we didn't, a Modelo and those chili cheese fries. I goto the waitress and politely tell her the 2 mistakes and said that we should not have even been charged for the poppers as they were an APPETIZER. She says, "well they were delivered so your keeping the charge." THE ONLY SAVING GRACE was food was alot and very good! Manager adjusted the bill, still paid for the peppers. SUGGESTION.
