Our gate was A12 so Cat Cora's was the choice for dinner! It was surprisingly delicious. Hubby got a penne arrabbiata (actually very spicy) and I got a crispy chicken wrap. My mom got the soup, dad got the shrimp, and uncle got a salad (large and tasty). The service was really good! Super friendly, quick. They let us stay for as long as we needed until it was time to board. Beautiful views out the window. Lots of booths/ tables. If you need a spot to eat while waiting for your plane we definitely recommend!

Wow got seated fast & lovely sarah helped me out, very attentive, fast service & yummy dishes. This place is wonderful if you want a excellent dinner before your flight.

Had a layover and saw Cat's name, so I stopped in. Beautiful and clean, quiet and soothing, comfortable settings. The staff were excellent. Cheery, cheeky, and calamitous! Such a great group of servers! The food...boring tasteless and ill-prepared! The salad, while seemingly fresh, was over dressed and uninspiring. The crumbled goat cheese was chunkier than Chunk from the Goonies,,,and much less entertaining, The onion soup was nothing better than Campbell's Chunky soup with some fresh, mostly raw, onions tossed in. The croutons was a mass of uncooked bread that combined with the cheese (good quality cheese, btw) to make a paste worthy of repairs to the chapels of the greatest Catholic cathedrals world around. Not a great culinary experience!. If I was Cat, I'd be embarrassed that my name was attached to this kitchen! However, the staff took this review from a 2 star, to a 3 star! Great job guys! Jason and Amy are awesome

    1. The service was wonderful. 2. However the spicy Korean wings were sent back. They were ordered well done and still had floppy skin. I like my skin cooked crispy. The sauce had no flavor. So disappointing. 3. Person beside me had the lamb burger and said it was very underwhelming.

Cat Cora's Taproom is one of the food and drink options inside DTW airport. The cocktails were excellent--well-made and refreshing--and the fries were outstanding, easily the highlight of the food. The atmosphere feels more polished than your typical airport bar, which makes it a nice spot to relax before a flight. Service was on the slower side during my visit, which can be stressful if you're on a tight layover.

My favorite bar at the airport to grab a quick drink before a trip. Always open seats at the bar & the staff is always so kind.

The fact that it has "Cat" in the name already won me over! LoL We stopped here during a layover at Detroit Airport on our way to New York, and it was such a pleasant visit. Honestly, loved this place for several reasons The highlight for me was the beautiful daytime view overlooking the runway. Watching planes take off and land while enjoying a meal was incredibly calming and unique. Another thing that stood out was the hospitality of the staff. They were genuinely friendly, took the time to chat with us, smiled warmly, and made us feel like we were guests in someone's home , not just travelers passing through. We ordered something simple: A burger with a side of fries . The burger was thick, juicy, and seasoned moderately. I added a bit of salt, but overall it was a satisfying, enjoyable meal before our next flight. And the prices Surprisingly reasonable for an airport restaurant! One small thing to note: our order did take a little longer than we expected, but it might have been due to how busy they were at that time. Still, a slightly faster pace would make the experience even more perfect especially for travelers on a schedule. All in all, I think this will be my go-to spot anytime I'm passing through Detroit. Highly recommend it!!

Great spot to sit and relax for a while in the DTW airport. Nice ambiance with a fireplace and plenty of tvs. The menu has lots of options - sandwiches, salads, burgers. I went for the Cobb salad with chicken and it was deliciously filled with lots of fresh flavorful toppings. As with any airport restaurant, it was a tad pricey but that's to be expected. Overall, a solid spot to sit down, have a drink, and pass the time.

Had a bit of a slow start here, but it turned out to be a good experience. I waited around the entrance for a while waiting to be seated. The hostess seated the couple that was ahead of me and then disappeared, but then a different staff waitress came and flipped the "Please wait to be seated" and sign and told everyone waiting we could seat ourselves. After seating myself it again felt like it took a while for someone to come take my order, and after ordering my beer looked like it had probably been poured a few minutes before it was brought to me, but my food came out in a reasonable time and I was able to pay reasonably quickly as well. My waitress was nice. From the time I got in line to get in to the time I left was probably around 45 minutes which is just fine for a table service restaurant. I thought my food and beer were really good. I had the gnocchi primavera ($24) and an Oberon Eclipse raspberry wheat ale by Bell's Brewing ($11). The gnocchi were pleasantly chewy and the sauce was delicious - very flavourful and a little spicy. I read a few Google reviews with complaints about too much fennel seed in this dish. I liked the fennel and I would say it was absolutely not overkill, but don't order this if you don't want to taste fennel seed. The prices were predictably expensive. But the food was good and the portion size was satisfying. Definitely not a bad choice for a table service meal at DTW.

    Steak and broccolini

Slightly slow service upon arrival, but once we were helped, the waitresses were attentive. The food was ever so slightly salty but still overall delicious. I got my steak medium rare and broccolini as a sub for fries and they were able to easily make that accomodation for me. I'd come back if I'm ever at this airport!

Spicy Tomato Soup w/ Grilled Cheese

The value was poor. The salad arrived so lightly dressed it was hard to tell if it was dressed. The Mediterranean Plate (described as Tzatziki, Halloumi, Pickled Vegetables) arrived as a drippy mess, without any halloumi, with crostini, pico de gallo, & three mystery cheeses along with tzatziki and random pickles. And the Spicy Tomato Soup was bland. The tasty grilled cheese that came with the soup was a highlight. And our rather inattentive server drizzled pico juice onto my neck pillow and luggage when she brought the platter to us from behind instead from across the bar. And she was slow to notice when we were ready to pay. This was the worst airport restaurant experience we've had in years.

Looking for a place to eat while on my layover. Saw Cat Cora's and had to stop. I've been a fan for years and remember watching her on Iron Chef. We were seated pretty quick, atmosphere was very welcoming and inviting. Waited some time before our waitress arrived to take drink orders. Waited more for drinks to arrive and to place our order. You can see the pattern here of waiting, if your connection is less than an hour you might need to reconsider. Once the food arrived the presentation was good and the food was hot. I had the burger and fries and both were delicious. Burger was cooked exactly as I asked, it was also smothered in cheese, it was so good. Twice fried fries were good as well. Pricing was about what you would expect at an airport. Glad I stopped in!

    Gnocchi (added chicken).
    Tram N.

3.5 The gnocchi was tender and pillow-y soft but the chicken was extremely driver. The sauce was pretty rich. I personally prefer pesto over tomato sauce but that's just my preference. It wasn't spicy but it had a little heat from the Calabrian peppers. It gave the dish a smoky taste. Very filling and comforting. Service was great, too. Only thing is the chicken. Suggest to order this as is, no protein added.
