Biggest ripoff ever. Got a "deep tissue massage" and a scrub Left with my neck and shoulders in more pain than before and the lady told me next time she recommends I see someone else who can do a proper deep tissue massage. Wtf? That's what I ordered! The scrub was a JOKE- she literally put it on my 4 limbs and wiped it off with a warm towel. No rubbing no circular motions, just swipe on and swipe off. Then I was covered still in salt. I took the scrub home and wound up scrubbing myself again. Nice view and space but the services were a big disappointment . read more

My mom and I went there to get a pedicure for my brother's wedding last month. They welcomed us into a nice relaxing area with a free beverage. The view of the river while we got our nails done was a nice bonus! My mom's nails were done very well, but my service was pretty bad. Within the first few minutes, the lady gauged the inside of my ankle with the foot file. It was bleeding a bit and burned the rest of my pedicure. I've never had something like this happen - it was terrible! She also wasn't going to cut my nails at all, she just started filing even though they were pretty long. I had to ask her to cut them. Then my actual polish was pretty poorly done as well. I asked for a French pedicure and it was just lumpy and thick. I noticed how bad it was when we walked outside (after we paid) and also saw that part of my nail didn't have any paint on it. I immediately went back in to see if they could fix it for me and they said I'd have to come back in 2 hours.. what a joke. I ended up asking for the paint myself and just fixed it. Such a great experience! We came as a group of 8 for a bachelor/bachelorette celebration and the massages and overall service was outstanding. They set us up with nice robes and slippers, put us in a beautiful room with champagne and charcuterie board, and we're very accommodating. I had Angela for a facial and Cameron for massage and both were excellent! Everyone else in the party was very happy with their services too! I will never have anything positive to say about this place. My sister used her 200+ dollar gift certificate given to her from her peers at work. She treated my mom, myself and herself with the certificate. This just happened last Tuesday 7/1/25. It was her and my mom's bday. When she called to make appts, the told her she should have called much sooner. She internalized that as if she'd down something wrong. They gave her very few options for services on that day. She took them and then 3 days later was told that the person doing the brow tinting and waxing would not be available, so she changed it for a pedi and add on of a 15min leg massage....this was for me. When we got there totally rude and said that my session was the brow wax and tinting....total chaos. It gets so much worse....they ened up doing a pedi, girl told me straight from the get that she had no time to do any extra. She's also the one that does the brows and tinting. The one they claimed wouldn't be available. My big toe polish came off that night. My mom's pedi was done before mine and her toes are jacked up polished. Sister was charged the full hr when it was maybe 45mins. Ambience sucked, not educated staff, rude, non bougie like people claim. I get my nails and toes done on the regular. I pay to get the best. I'm just upset that my sweet sister felt bad because of the day she planned to give us sucked in real time. They never offered her anything to make it right. I love my family and I never want them to feel bad about something or someway another treats them. Me, I could care less, but that's my momma and little sister. Honestly, over the last three years. The quality of this business has gone down. I went there for a massage in June. They picked my masseuse for me based on the description of what I was wanting. After my massage, it wasn't anything I really needed. I called to let them know how the massage went. I was told management would call me back. It's been over a month. I decided to follow up. When I did, they offered to refer a masseuse yet again. It was not what I was wanting, I was hoping to be reimbursed and use it for another service they offered. They offered 50% of my gift card back which is minuscule. It's unfortunate their lack of customer service makes me want to not use the gift card at all becuase the service and quality of management is unsatisfactory. I try to support local as much as possible. But this is a place I would not recommend. read more

I've been to the spa several times over the years and I can say I was rather dissatisfied with this trip. I booked the cosmo package (massage, facial, pedi) for me and tribeca (massage, mani, pedi) for my mom. I did not care for my masseuse's (Amanda I think?) style but that's not so bad. My issue is I have lymph node it my neck that's enlarged (has been for years) and she kept pushing on it even after I told her it was not a knot but an enlarged lymph node. I suppose I could have really raised a stink and stopped the massage but IMO a professional should only have to be told by the client once that they don't like something. My mom and I were doing a side by side massage and I didn't want to disturb her experience. Facial was nice and relaxing (Brooke). She did my moms massage and mom enjoyed it. Pedicure (Fendi) was ok. I think I've decided I just don't enjoy the way they do them at UR, nothing against my tech. They were also not timely. We were supposed to be there for 3.5 hours. It was 4.25 before we were done. That might not seem like much but I'm diabetic and for me a 45 minute delay at lunch is a lot. And lastly almost NONE OF THEM were wearing masks. Of all the employees I saw in my 4 hours in the spa only 3 we're wearing masks and one of those is because I asked her to put it on. I called *in advance* to confirm they had a mask policy and was assured over the phone all employees would be wearing them. I definitely feel lied to regarding this. Over all, I likely won't be back. I received a pedicure from here quite a few months ago. The pedicure was incredible, but my only complaint was that the gel was all over my skin. I did have someone reach out to me to have me rescheduled, but I never heard back from anyone. I understand that business is really overwhelming, so I understand forgetting. I would still recommend a pedicure or another service l, but maybe skip the polish or go with something super sheer. My sister & I decided to treat ourselves to side by side massage & uptown pedicures. The place is very nice & pretty. People were so friendly & happy to pamper us. The website said to arrive early for paperwork, but we were never given any. Our massage room was very large & with heated beds. I thought because the beds were moved far away from the door, we wouldn't hear anyone, but a few voices were still heard. Piper was AMAZING!!! She was had amazing hands & technique. I felt so good afterwards. Loose & relaxed. She was also professional & would whisper commands or questions. My sister's massage was not as good. Her masseuse seemed new. She was loud & not very professional. Kind of pulling my sister's body roughly to move around on the table. She never asked if there was any areas to focus on like mine did. Her technique was also very strange. My sister said it reminded her of the episode on Friends when Ross was massaging the old man with spoons, but with her hands. It wasn't rubbing, just poking & prodding. Then the masseuse kept pulling really hard on my sister's fingers & toes. Like trying to pop them out of place. I've never heard or felt that on any massage ever! Then we moved on to pedicures. I normally go to places with spa tubs. These were done with big bowls of lukewarm water. The room was very nice with views of the river. Marianne was very good & friendly, but mine was pretty stand offish but polite. She seem to skip some steps that I saw Marianne doing with my sister. The leg massages were very good, but some of our toe nails are uneven. I guess I expected more for the price. I would return for a massage, but would skip the pedicure. read more

The massage was amazing! Matt took the time after to explain why he thought things were so wonky in my hips and back, and seemed really invested in my wellness. The vibe is always good, and they have added a new line of pretty stuff to smell while you wait. Going for 4 stars, because they still need to work on cancellation issues. I think if they cancel, should be a phone call and they should say something like "we do have a few spots, could you do..." and offer another time slot, or offer 10% off next service or something at the time of the cancellation. It might be a nice touch to soften the blow of a short notice cancellation. Ahh, first world problems! read more

Sarah made sure my daughter was comfortable and relaxed. My daughter asked for mermaid colors and that's exactly what she got. The worst pedicure I've ever had. They put your feet in bowl, barely let them soak. The water was Luke warm and quickly turned cold. She didn't trim my cuticles, didn't clean around the toenails just buffed them and cut the nails then painted. The manicure was even worse, no water to soak your nails in, no cuticle trimming or skin around the nails. The choices of colors is beyond lacking and the arm massage was weak. Not to mention the lack of personality and conversation from the tech. I'd give it zero stars if it let me, not even close to being worth the price. read more

Went for a couples massage and it was a great peaceful environment. I have had hundreds of massages and was very disappointed with my massage today. The therapist spent mor time readjusting herself and applying more oil then actually giving the massage. I know things are changing and opening with new protocols but I don't think the standard of services provided have to be affect by this. I rarely complain and have a problem with things. This experience left me not wanting to get a massage treatment from this place again. The therapist asked for my points of concern and hardly focused on them. She asked prior to massage for my preferred pressure and I asked for deep tissue. Zero of my expectations were meat and for a 70 dollar massage I expected much more. I left frustrated and felt I wasted my time. My 12 year old ha rubbed my back equivalent to what I had today. Are used to go to Cosh chiropractic in town and was adjusted followed by a 45 minute massage and every single one of those massage therapist at her practice were on point and amazing. Called in a day before and made an appointment to get a mani with a certain person for 2:15pm. I had to change my work schedule around but I needed to get them done because I have a trip planned for tomorrow. I was told to arrive at 2:05. I got there before 2:05 and checked in. 2:15 rolls around.....nothing....2:40!?! I obviously got up and asked about my appointment. The manager comes out and says that they are all ready and that she could discount my mani cause of time. Fine. I'll take it because I NEED A MANI REAL BAD. I get escorted to the mani/pedi room. IT IS NOT HER!! Helllo?? I was first upset with who ever scheduled the appointment and now I'm upset with the manager that probably didn't bother to see who I had made it with. I asked to see the manager again. She comes out and says they could give me a mani free of charge or reschedule. It's 2:50 people does it look like I'm gonna want to reschedule?! I work at 5 and I'm not about to go running to the next salon to schedule me in. I say fine, give me the free mani. I won't mentioned who did my mani but it WAS NOT A MANI. It was honestly (I let the manager know) half assed. It was more like a polish change. All that was done was polish removal, file, lotion on my hand (not even a massage), and the polish was put on. I understand that I'm getting a free manicure but do it right so that your customer doesn't leave even more pissed off. I was livid in my seat. Got up after she was finished and went to speak to the manager. I told her exactly what I'm writing on the review. She said her upper manager, the owner, was out of town and will contact me. I'll be waiting till Monday for her phone call. It's just been a very unprofessional experience. I'm not sure why there was so many miscommunications.
