I want to say first that the staff is very lovely. With that being said, the 'spa' is located on a very busy street. You hear traffic loudly. While getting a massage it makes it challenging to relax. As did listening to a leaf blower being operated outside my room for the last 30 minutes of my massage. I also was not massaged for the full minutes paid for. Clean facility and lovely staff. I booked a mini spa day package which came with an infrared sauna session, massage, and halo therapy. It was my first time in an infrared sauna so I didn't know what to expect. The staff had everything set up for me upon arrival so everything went smoothly and in a timely manner. My massage with Jaidyn was fantastic, she was attentive to the the areas of concern and checked in with me through the session. The halo therapy room is relaxing with comfortable chairs, but the room is small and it can be difficult to walk to/from your chair when more than 2 people are present. This place has a really great variety of unique spa treatments such as the spa capsule, steam stamp facials, float bed, salt rooms and a salt "coffin". The prices are reasonable, they are centrally located in Redding and they offer massage as well as saunas. So why only three stars? Maybe it's just not meant to be for me but each time I've come here I've run into problems, including noise and an overly aggressive front desk person. For example, my last visit in the float bed wound up being anything but relaxing. A young father was holding his screaming infant outside the spa, about ten feet from the window under which I was wrapped up in what essentially is a water blanket on a table. He was yelling at his toddler not to run away. The screaming went on and on and on, and I was worried the toddler would run into the street because I heard his little footfalls as he ran away from his dad towards the spa. The amount of screaming at the toddler and the wailing infant made a 30 minute session feel like an eternity. I couldn't wait to get out of the bed, mostly because I wanted to make sure the toddler was ok. I received $10 off for enduring the noise. You couldn't have paid me $100 to do the same! In the interest of helping this business I think it's important to say that guests come to a spa to relax. However each time I interact with the front desk person I feel like the conversation becomes almost confrontational and he begins comparing me to his wife who is also in the health profession. Weirdly he gives off one-upmanship vibes, which is really unpleasant as I'm not into that. Each time I've left this spa I find myself trying to find a polite way to end the conversation. I just want to relax. I don't want to talk about work or to hear someone else complaining. I don't want unsolicited advice or be compared to anyone else. I just want to relax, but this place ironically just is not conducive for relaxing. I really wanted to like this place. I visited 4 or 5 times thinking each time it'd be better and that previous times must have been one-offs. Each time I tell myself: this is the last time. Never again. I won't be back and I'm writing a review because I'm not sure how else to help them improve. I gave them two stars for the sake of the really kind masseuse named Kim, and one for the nice variety of services, but had to dock stars for very poor understanding of customer service and really thin walls/floors/poor noise control. No one wants to go to a spa to get lectured at or scolded. No one wants to endure noise while paying money to relax. The front desk person seems nice enough and does a great job explaining the different services but he probably doesn't realize his current communication style isn't well-suited for working as the front desk person at a spa. I hope this review will help him to understand and maybe consider changing his communication style. Maybe he does this only with me, as I am a medical professional. I'm not sure. What a hidden gem in Redding!! Amazing variety of treatments! I spent 3 hours here for my birthday and it was great! I was very relaxed by the end. I loved the hot and cold Vichy shower, infrared sauna and steam stamp facial. I'm sure I will be back. I'm a spa junkie, grew up in "spa city" and have been to spas all over the nation and the world and this was a great experience. Negatives: I didn't really enjoy the massage though. The pressure was super light even after asking her to increase it. Another issue was the noise level as I was paying and leaving. Someone was there to clean and she was shouting behind the corner then came out to the main area. They really should be required to whisper. She was very loud and very abrasive after such a relaxing experience. I also left my frankincense and lavender essential oils there with the attendant in a plastic bag and didn't get a call about it or a return call after I left a message. Overall good experience but these issues turned a 5 star review into a 4 star. Still try it out!! read more

Had no expectations as a walk in. I just wanted a sauna and was grateful I could get in. Didn't realize it was a dry sauna but it was still very hot and relaxing. The bench was a little small (I'm 5'3", 115 lb.). 30 minutes was perfect. The salt room was a little cold so I'd ask for a blanket next time. You basically sit in a very comfortable chair in a room with nice music and do nothing. Breathe. I saw a very thin layer of salt on the arms of the other chairs when done (30 minutes), but couldn't really tell if anything was happening. Being still for this long was a nice treat at 2 p.m. Next time I'll bring my rosary. I'm going back for the spa package. read more

If I lived in Redding, I would be here every other week! Fantastic European style therapy and wellness options, not available at other spas, let alone little towns like Redding! What a hidden gem! The prices are incredible and about 1/3 the cost of what you'll pay in the city or out of the country (I.e. hydrotherapy capsule, etc). If you're looking for alternative health solutions such as salt rooms, hydrotherapy or infrared sauna, this place is for you, and at a fraction of the cost. My daughter and I went here yesterday and were not disappointed! We started in the salt room, then the flotation bed, the steam capsule, and the sauna. But this time, I happen to find a gem of Spa while in the area.. and I must say, The staff ARE WONDERFUL!!! from Start( greeting) to end (massage)!!! Pam- an amazing person with amazing personality and lots of positive energy...and Kristen was my masseuse...oh I must say she has magic in her hands. Love, loved my massage! I appreciate how she asked how much pressure I wanted in my massage and where were my point of aches I wanted her to focus in, and SHE LISTENED!. I went to The Healing Corner as a pre-wedding-day pampering and it was an absolute dream! I had the "Cleopatra" treatment in the spa capsule, followed by a full body massage. I truly have never felt better than after that experience. Not only was I physically and mentally more relaxed than I had been in months, but my skin has never been so soft and moisturized! Really really disappointed to have to have to leave this review. My boyfriend planned an amazing date day for us ending at this location. We did the mini spa day for 2 starting in the infrared sauna. Amazing. Then went our separate ways for massages. My boyfriends massage was awesome, his masseuse was communicative and gave him what he was looking for. However I felt like an inconvenience to mine the entire massage. She huffed at me multiple times during the massage and responded to me asking for my right shoulder tension to be focused on with "well I'll see what I can do." Online this massage starts out the description with "tailored to your needs"..... she never even asked about pressure or if I felt comfortable. Oh and it was about 42 minutes long, not 50. I've had massages in places from Madonna inn to here in Redding and have never experienced such lack of care or concern. I hope she was just having a bad day. It's too bad I har to endure her bad day too as I left there feeling as much pain in my shoulder as I showed up with. That's why most people get massages ........ also got overcharged $10, so maybe update your prices. no one likes false advertisement. read more

I booked a girls spa day for my best friends surprise birthday party it was last minute I had called around but the Healing corner really came through. I called on a day they were closed they called me right back the next day early in the am and they left a message, I called them right back and they fit me and my 2 other friends right in a spot they had left I was so excited! The salt room was amazing will for sure be back for that, The sauna was nice such a clean environment which makes you feel even better!
