We went in on Easter morning, and had a group of 5 including a baby. We needed a booth but one was not ready except the half booth half table section. They would NOT allow us to move one table to another so our baby could sit in a booth. The table was incredibly small so we couldn't really move anything without stuff falling off the table. The food was good but the staff was rude and the problem was they let other people push tables together right after we got our food. Ridiculous and hypocritical. I go here pretty frequently. This is an extremely popular establishment so the wait can be daunting at times, that is when I forget to Jake a reservation! The menu and the food is very good. The service can be slow at times but again, they're pretty busy. Sometimes it's not slow, usually pretty friendly. The cost is pretty comparable to other similar restaurants in the area- maybe a little higher. I'll definitely go back. read more

From Best Breakfast in Town to Overpriced Disappointment I've been a loyal customer of Urban Egg since they opened at Belleview Station in 2017, eating there weekly--many times daily. We basically built our business with daily meetings here. Back then, under the Price family, it was a hidden gem, offering top-tier, unique breakfast dishes that justified the price. But ever since their growth equity investment from L Catterton, the quality has nosedived (https://www.lcatterton.com/Press.html#!/LC-UrbanEgg). You can see the cost-cutting measures everywhere, from the food itself to the cheap-looking new menu design & marketing materials. Yesterday was the last straw--our steak and eggs featured a low-quality, barely edible steak, and the omelet was overcooked. Two weeks ago, the Chicken & the Egg was a joke--a sad, soggy, uninspired chicken breast. The new yogurt parfait? Laughably tiny for $7. To make matters worse, they ditched Shamrock Foods for Cisco because it's cheaper. Well, it shows. Urban Egg isn't cheap, but now it tastes like an overpriced Denny's--except Denny's might actually be better. If they want to keep longtime customers, they need to bring back what made them great: high-quality ingredients and innovative dishes. The service still remains spectacular but the food product is suffering. For now? We're officially looking for a new breakfast spot. What a shame. read more

I feel like the quality has gone way down but the price has gone up. Had their biscuits and gravy, used to be really good. Biscuits were rubbery and the gravy was thick like your typical Cracker Barrel type. Complete 180 from the last time I had that entree. Service used to be pretty good too, that has also changed unfortunately. This was clearly a set-up line that they say on your first visit but it might have been accurate. Our visit was very pleasant. We were seated quickly. The variety of food options was nice as well as allergen options (gluten free and vegan). I had the Denver Hot chicken benedict and it was very good. My wife had corned beef hash browns. The salad was light and full of flavor, as was the avocado toast. Mine came with a scrambled egg (you choose how you want it cooked), bacon bits, cheese, and quinoa. I'd never had quinoa on avocado toast before, but it was a nice change in texture and flavor! Service was good too. Good food, good service. BUT there is a 3% Colorado service fee on everyone's bill. Because the consumer is paying part of thethe cook's salary. Probably because the corporation is too cheap to give the cook's a raise when it's due. All the food I ordered was *fine* and easily reproducible at home. If you're looking for a brunch experience, with interesting food, something to excite your palate, or a memorable brunch, I would look elsewhere.
