Absolutely fantastic service. When other companies charged way too much or weren't available, these movers came through. They hustled at full speed and took the utmost care not to damage anything. I would have given 4 or 5 stars if not for the communication after the move. They seemed very professional, courteous, and fast during the move, and made sure our furniture was secure and protected. There had been an issue getting box springs to fit up stairwells. They offered to try though I knew the chances it would work were slim, promising that they would be sure to leave no wall damage, just at most some scuffed paint, which I agreed to. Afterwards, I noticed a few spots where plaster had broken off the wall and ceiling. Not a lot, and it was an easy fix, but I sent pictures to notify them that it happened. In response, I was berated about how we told them to try moving the box spring against their advice, but then went on to say we made the movers feel "uncomfortable" by watching over them. We were around to make sure they got everything and left the things we did not want them to take, then let them know which rooms items went to. At the end of the move, there were some furniture covers on the side of the truck, and my boyfriend just wanted to double check that there weren't any leftover small odds and ends like shelves. Overall, it was a 10 text rant insulting me and my boyfriend, claiming we were assuming they were trying to steal our things, and asserting how many expensive items they have moved before. *The final straw was the last text sent, criticizing that I picked up a heavy box (by my own choice) after my boyfriend had picked it up and set it down because "that's not what men do". It was out of line and very unprofessional to make a comment like that. read more

We are moving 2 households into our new home and had to find a good mover. We saw great reviews for Upstate Movers compared to some of the other local movers. Ross the owner is very quick to respond, set up our appointment and make our initial deposit. He checked back with me day before to confirm appointment and first thing in morning before our appointment time. That gave me the reassurance they were on the ball about getting the job done. Day of our move they arrived on time and ready to take tour of what were moving. They immediately started grabbing some of the items as we continued the tour. Benefit to selecting the 4 man team was having enough muscle to keep stuff moving. They got everything loaded securely and safely into the truck in great time. Wrapped items that needed it, followed all my special requests to the T, were all friendly and courteous. All items were then unloaded into new house exactly where we needed it along with moving another major appliance out for us before they finished for us. We will definitely be using Upstate Movers for the second house here soon! read more

These guys helped us move into our house and they were great! We didn't have a lot of notice as to when our PODS would be arriving from out of state and they were very flexible and were able to accommodate us when the PODS arrived. I hired this company and it was the worst moving experience ever (I've moved about 5 times with movers). The owner and I had a set price for the move, no exceptions plus a $100 deposit. After 8.5 hours including the 1.5 hour lunch break to move from a 1 bedroom apartment only 5 minutes to my new apartment.:they unloaded the truck with broken belonging. I had multiple things including lamps & Xmas trees broken, no compensation. To top it off I was charged $400 more than our agreement and forgot about the deposit in which he will not pay back , the owner was very rude and was threatening me afterwards.
