So, I used this company after being referred by a coworker. They responded quickly and came out to give me a quote. On the quote, roughly $1250 to move my 3 Bedroom home. Seemed reasonable. I was advised not to take apart certain items as "it was unnecessary because my guys can get this out in one piece." I advised that I'd move quite a bit over in my vehicle prior to moving day (in which I did). Moving day- first off they arrived late. Ok, no biggie. I provided coffee and donuts to start the day. First thing I noticed was that the truck looked very small to me, for all that we needed to move. One of the movers (we'll call him Mr. M) proceeded to sit and enjoy his donuts and coffee while the other 2 movers began loading the truck. Once the gentleman finished his breakfast, all four of us proceeded to walk around the house to "inventory." As we entered each room, Mr M repeatedly stated, "damn, this is a lot of sh**!" Ok, we moved on. After we finished the walk through, Mr M then states, "this is going to be a nice check for me!" Moving on to the actual move. This was interesting. Mr M argued alot as to how the truck should be loaded. At some point, I was advised that we'd have to make TWO TRIPS because the company didn't send a large enough truck. All 3 movers stated that the company owned larger trucks and that they were sent with the smallest one in the fleet. Needless to say, that made me extremely unhappy because the cost of the move went up. In fact, it added 2.5 extra hours. So very steep. I was also advised that the items I was told not to take apart could not be moved in one piece. Thus, I began taking them apart while they waited, losing time and money. Also, there was some damage to some of the walls. Mr M stated, "I can care less about the wall." There was some other mishaps, but it's too much to include here. At the end of the move, one of the guys asked for my business card in case he needed a "professional favor!" Again, it was a very interesting day. I would not use them again, nor would I refer this company. Worth noting, one of the guys was extremely professional throughout the day, and tried to get everything done in a timely manner. He apologized often. I hope he gets a promotion because Jessie was the only saving grace. Someone at the office followed up with me the next day, apologized and reduced the bill by 2 hours. read more

Wonderful moving company. I've already recommended to a close friend who used their services and he was very happy with them. From what I know, I believe this is a family business and it shows. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The movers were polite and worked very hard. It also seems that the owner is very hands on which is very hard to find with some companies. When we moved we didn't have any breakage but, we did purchase insurance just in case. As with any moving company we knew the risks and wanted to protect ourselves but the guys did a great job with no breakage! The rates were also very reasonable. I moved last week from a two-bedroom apartment into a new house. My downstairs neighbor used them a few months back and highly recommended them so I went straight with them. I called after I found out my closing date and they were able to get me in within a few days. Derek and Kurtis came out and did a great job. They had to struggle with getting a large couch out of my second-floor apartment but managed to and then quickly got everything else out. They were extremely professional, asking where things should go when we got to unloading. I would definitely recommend them myself to anyone looking for a moving company. read more

Very over priced, must have a 2 hour minimum of work for them to do, if not you get charged for 2 hours(almost 200-300?an hour).was told I would be charged for 2 hours even tho the job only took a different moving company(Need a truck), 14 minutes to do the job. They didn't even charge me my full original quote. We recently moved from a 2-bedroom apartment to our first home. They are a bit pricy, but worth it to avoid all the heavy lifting ourselves. We had 3 guys total for about 7 hours worth of work. We had a second pick-up location and they were great about handling the logistics of that. The leader, Doug (I think), was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and efficient and kept everything moving at a good pace. Juan (I think was his name) was also very efficient and a hard worker. The only guy I had a problem with was Dan, the third guy. Granted, it was a very hot day and we didn't have central a/c in the apartment, but he was moving very slowly and just couldn't handle the work. Once we got to the second pick-up and then to the house, he really wasn't working at all. Doug actually had him sit out the rest of the move and switched our rate the 2-man hourly rate. That was a little disappointing, because we could have finished the move-in process more efficiently with 3 guys, but I can't complain about Doug and Juan's work ethic. They did fail to move a very large couch that we had (they couldn't get it out of the apartment), which was disappointing, but not entirely unexpected. We knew it would be the most difficult piece and the couch was actually the tipping point for deciding on whether or not to hire movers. So the fact that they couldn't move the deciding piece of furniture was disappointing. Eventually, we had to go back and saw the couch in half and destroy it to get it out of the apartment. But I don't blame that on them at all. It was a very challenging couch. Overall, I highly recommend Interior Moving, but I suggest that they take a look at their employees and try to weed out the ones like Dan. read more

In 2011 I moved out of my apt in Rochester a few months prior to moving to San Antonio. I had items to be picked up in Pittsford and off Park Ave then brought to the storage unit where they would sit until a moving truck that would travel cross country could get there. After calling more than 4 places in Rochester, Interior Moving Services offered the best pricing for move and storage. Their space is in a building so there's no concern over temperature and climate change affecting your items. For a climate-controlled space, they beat all the rest in the area as far as price and service. Naomi was such a great help when I was going thru this. She was patient and explained everything well, leaving no questions or concerns on my end. (I had never used a moving service and had lots of questions!) The movers arrived on time and ready to work. They didn't stop! With just two guys working, they were able to get moves from 2 places and back to the warehouse in under 4 hours. Price was reasonable, nothing was damaged, everything positive and trustworthy about them. If I ever need to move or use storage again, I would definitely call Interior Moving Services again! This company disappointed in many ways. We had breakage of a large decorative planter / pot that was originally $350-380 dollars, plus glass broken and frames damaged on large and small artwork, damage to a newly planted shrub that is now half dead, damage to walls and a late night return that startled us at 9:30pm. They returned a mattress and box spring they didn't want but wanted initially that we were going to dispose of. Upon that late night return they also found a box of items that was left behind in one of our storage units. They gave us a $50 credit which didn't come close to what had gotten broken or lost. The owner said that's why they offer extra insurance to purchase. My thoughts are when someone pays you around $2000 you should warranty your services and handling of all personal effects. They did not call to notify me when they were on their way (as was requested) and were late with no contact number to get a revised ETA. Without knowing where or when they left it was difficult to ensure the time I paid for was being used appropriately. The gentlemen that arrived were very friendly and professional but a little slow to start which also added to valuable time being added I was paying for. Otherwise the equipment provided was more than enough, they were gentle with my goods, and sensitive to asking if I wanted anything delicate placed in my own personal vehicle vs theirs. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! First let me point out they DO NOT do background checks on their employees! I hired this company to simply load my items from my 3 bedroom home into my own moving van. I had asked them many times to use the moving pads and wrap (I supplied) so my furniture would not be damaged. To my surprise when I went to unload the truck they didn't do any of that so EVERY piece of furniture was damaged!!! The worst part of the entire experience, was that their movers are THIEFS!!!! They went through my things and stole my wedding ring, a bunch of jewelry, and other expensive items. THEY WENT THROUGH OUR CLOSED ITEMS!!! I called the company IMMEDIATELY as I had noticed this as soon as they left, I went to put my jewelry on that was hidden and found it missing, so there is NO mistake that it was the movers that stole my items. I filed a police report, contacted the owner and they assured me they would investigate and help me! THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!! I filed against their insurance and it has almost been a year and NOTHING!!! There are so many moving companies out there that actually do a great job and care, unfortunately NOT THIS ONE!!! They are a bit pricier compared to the other companies. They charge for travel time so for us, moving from Rochester to victor, they charged us an extra $124 which equated to travel time from the office to our Rochester town home, Rochester to Victor and Victor back to wherever their office is. We paid about $500 for 3 hrs two bedroom town home worth of furniture/stuff. They provided 3 guys. Some of the guys were a bit slower than the other. They need more "direction" and project managing. We ran out of time so when they unloaded to our Victor home, everything was left in the garage. read more

Hired these guys to help unpack a uhaul coming from Syracuse. While they did arrive almost 30 minutes late, one of the drivers called me 20 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive to let me know a bunch of guys didn't show up to work that morning and that they would be there as soon as possible. Totally not their fault and I appreciated the call. Once they arrived, they made quick work of my 15 ft uhaul. They were careful, courteous, and very quick! We were all chatting and having a good time by the end of it. The cost came in under the estimate as well! Couldn't have been happier with these guys. read more

We really liked them as we spoke to them over the phone but after we set up the appointment for an in house estimate twice and both times they called to cancel on the day off. We understand things happen sometimes but on both times after they canceled we called back to reschedule despite them telling us they will call us back. In the end after they called to cancel for the 2nd time we gave up on working with them. I believe the last time, the Operations Manager called us the day of the appt, said he had to cancel and would call us back to reschedule. He never did. For both times my husband and I made arrangements to stay home. We think it is because they simply did not want our business. We were disappointed. We'd rather if they didn't want our business they should have just told us over the phone. Not very professional, but then again we were moving out of state so perhaps it was just too much for them to handle. My husband and I hired these guys to help move us out of our 2 bedroom apartment into our townhouse. We originally were just going to get a Uhaul, but we decided to bite the bullet and get a full service moving company and I am SO glad that we did. It was worth every penny! Naomi in the office was extremely helpful and walked us through the whole process. I also thought that they were very reasonably priced for what we got. The 3 guys who helped us move were fantastic too! They arrived on time and worked very quickly. They even disassembled and reassembled our complicated IKEA beds with no problem! I also LOVED being able to just leave my hanging clothes in the closet (because they brought wardrobe boxes and simply transferred the clothes from one closet to the other). They also were sure to ask me where I wanted things placed and were just really friendly and courteous! And to top it off, the whole move was over by lunchtime! We recently used this company to move from a lifetime home to another. After the move we discovered a two caret cluster diamond ring and a solitaire diamond were missing. The ring was priceless as it was my mother's which I got after her death 29 years ago. The items were in small jewelry boxes in a small bag under one of my husbands shirts hanging in our closet. The closets were not originally going to be taken by them. After a couple of hours the mover talked us into getting another truck to help and that's when they took only half of our closets. I never gave it a thought the items were in the closet. The next day we noticed earrings and jewelry were scattered in the bedrooms. We thought they must have dropped jewelry boxes. But it triggered me to look for my priceless ring and diamond. The shirt wS hanging right up front with the bag in it and the two jewelry boxes were there but empty. I called the company and they told me they would cooperate with the police. This took over all our attention and damages the movers also did. Walls were marked, an antique 9ft mirror had two pieces of wood broken from them pulling it, and checks and papers in a file cabinet were out of the boxes. Much of our stuff looked like it had been ransacked through. Also we were provided with a bill that was quite a bit more than we expected. Stating that to them, they told me to call the office the next day, in which we agreed. Then five minutes later a mover walked through our house to the back yard where we were sitting and said it was our lucky day they made a mistake on our bill. They gave us a new one considerably lower. The next day the owner called and said that bill was wrong. Then we got a third amount in which we never did receive a receipt for. I contacted the owner again telling him about the terrible shape of many items, and the mirror and walls. He offered to pick up the mirror, before hearing it was 9 ft high or giving us $300 in "good faith" for our damages providing we did not give any negative reviews. I replied did he think $300 would keep us quiet after loosing priceless jewelry. Of course we did not agree to that. He never contacted us again. He did say my husband signed a jewelry waiver. The only thing my husband signed was an order for service and the bill of lading and freight bill which was given to him when they finished that night. If any of them mentioned a jewelry clause I would of immediately went and retrieved my priceless items. But unfortunately I never gave it a thought. There is an investigation on the five movers ongoing. But I want to warn others so they never go threw what we are right now. The date was on July 10th 2019. It has been devastating and deeply took away the excitement of us starting memories in our new home. read more

Absolutely awful experience! My wife was quoted 3 1/2 hours for our move over the phone. The movers showed up at 5 pm to start our move and we were told they would arrive between 11-1. The movers complained about the number of boxes and said that it would take significantly longer to move them and suggested that we move them ourselves later. I explained that this was not an option as we had to move everything out that day. However, in the interest of moving things along, I personally moved all of the boxes directly to the end of the truck for the movers while they were busy folding blankets and generally wasting time. About and hour into the move, they asked for a five minute break. Twenty minutes later I had to persuade them to get back to work as I was paying them almost $100 per hour, so their little "five minute break" just cost me $50. The movers continued to milk the job throughout the move to an extent that I never imagined possible! One would carry one lamp at a time while the other would continue folding blankets on the back of the truck while I was doing all of the heavy lifting. When we got to our new home I continued to move most of the boxes to try and speed things along. I was shocked when I left with a load of boxes from the truck and loaded them into the house and returned ten minutes later to see movers were starting to lift the same couch that they were starting to lift when I left! At the end of the night (2 am) after damaging my dryer and scratching my table leaf, the move was finally done. They hit us with a bill for nine hours and almost $1,000, when they estimated us at about $300-$400. The last company that moved the same stuff did in fact complete the job in 4 hours and I did not lift a finger. When we told the movers that we would not pay that amount and wanted to speak to the owner, they refused and called the police on us instead. The office manager called us back that evening and agreed to charge us four hours for the move. A week later they called us to collect the rest. We explained the story all over to them and they said they would give us a $200 credit, but they wanted the balance paid. After two months of arguing with them, we coughed up another $200 to avoid the hastle of small claims court. In talking with other people who have had prior experiences with this company, I heard the same story over and over. Check their complaints on the BBB site and other review sites. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!!!! I am not one to post negative things about companies but this one needs to be heard. We went with this company because the company we used previously was unavailable. This company is unprofessional and does not treat customers with courtesy. They did not offer to come estimate our move ahead of time. they gave us a phone estimate that seemed fair but did not actually stick to it. Interior Moving Services takes twice as long to move compared to other companies. They try to milk the job as long as possible charging you an hourly rate. We had to move a good majority of our items ourselves in order ot get the work done within a reasonable amount of time. They stand around on th truck folding blankets instead of moving items as fast as possible. They were taking drinks out of our refrigerator without even asking. We had to keep going back and forth to check on the movers on the truck to make sure they were loading and unloading. In the middle of the move, the movers asked if they could just leave all of the stuff in one room instead of moving the boxes up and down stairs to the appropriate rooms. When we tried contacting the owner, they just give insane excuses as to why they were taking so long. For example: their movers are too tired from a previous move that day and that the customer should pay for this extra time.They argue with you over the phone if you have an issue instead of being courteous and professional. One of the movers was fired from the company shortly after our move but the company is till trying to charge us for it. We didn't even get an apology, just constant conflicting excuses as to why we need to pay more than the amount of time if actually should have taken to move. Do NOT hire this company!! read more

Stay Away! It took two men 8 hours to move from our old house to our new. They would bring one load in every 20 minutes, and needed our help loading and unloading also! The job was originally quoted to be about 4 hours long, and would cost roughly $400. They were supposed to show up between 11am-1pm, the movers didn't arrive til 5:30pm. They drive from our old house to our new house, the ride took 30 minutes, and they didn't finish unloading ONE LOAD til 2:00am. They then presented us a bill for $1100, when we wouldn't pay they threatened to call the cops, which we told them to do so gladly. After the police report and calling the movers boss directly, the agreed amount came to $400. These guys will try to bully you into an outrageous bill and drag there feet doing your move, do not hire these rip off artists. This is a warning to any one considering hiring them, you got a heads up proceed at your own expense. read more
