A small well-maintained thrift shop. Prices are fair and decent quality. Lots to see here. There are 2 discounted racks outside. Colored tag discounts. Minimal parking in the back & on street.

Friendly staff at the front counter. Some cool stuff in there especially dining items. We found a "sungka" board from Baguio City, Philippines. So neat! Prices are reasonable.

My big shoe score! Hokas, Nike! Vintage vases and candle holders!

Upscale is one of my favorite stores period! I really love both locations I've been to, Carmichael and 21st St. it is always organized, staff is helpful and friendly. I found some really great household items as well as shoes, clothes, and even jewelry! Also, very fair on prices. They don't try to rip you off.

Great thrift store with a nice selection and fair prices. We try to stop by every time we're in Sacramento visiting family. If I had more room in my suitcase, I would have bought more.

Bon voyage, Cherie!

I had driven by this shop many times and loved the varying mannequin ensemble changes, but never stopped in. There's nothing like having a 20 year old live with you (my 20 year old sibkid who goes to college in Sacramento) to broaden your horizons. This very stylish one lives to thrift so we set out on a thrifting day. I remembered this nearby shop so it was our first stop. They didn't find exactly what they wanted clothing wise, but said there was a good selection but not what they wanted in their size. I, on the other hand got a mock Egyptian wall frieze and an Irish box for my dad. It was such a fun and welcoming shop to browse in. They have clothing, decor, accessories, jewelry, and home items. All at good prices. A lot to cover in a relatively small footprint, I will definitely be back!

There was a long line and only 2 registers opened. I wish they would open at least one more register to accommodate the long line. I spent $55 and bought a ton of items. Deseret is great go to for basics. Need some new jeans, a blazer, mens shirt, etc? I always check here first because they have a large array of things & sizes. My guy is tall, so we have a harder time. I also always check for blankets & fabric, as well as office supplies. Yep, for my home office. The outside area is an adventure, you never know what you will find. A few weeks ago I came for shorts and found a painting! I used to find great clothes, but sadly Deseret is getting so much "plastic" donations. Shein is taking over. I sew, so I would always find some great pieces to alter to my size & liking. The mens section is still good, but the womens is thin. Parking is always easy. The store is very clean, and Managers are very approachable for questions & pricing (the ladies, the men always seem stressed out and not so approachable. Just my opinion). The prices have gone up a little, but are still very good. My daughter lives in LA, and we always stop in when she is here. A Sacramento gem.

When you walk in there is a sign on the door that says if an item doesn't have a tag then you can't buy it. And there is a security guard at the front door. I found lots of good deals. The most expensive item I bought was a winter coat for $17.23. It was in a size small and it fit perfect. It has a mickey mouse motif and mickey ears attached. I found a Las Vegas Raiders jersey, boys XL, which fit me perfect $12.92. It was new with out tags. I also found a SF Giants T Shirt that looked new. I found some other black tops, long and short sleeve. I found the cutest red minnie mouse sweatshirt but it was too short, too back because it was perfect. They also have lots of more expensive items mixed in. Such as Kings and Giants Jerseys. All well over $35. Compared to the teams stores it's still a good deal, but out of my price range for this shopping spree. These items are cheaper at the Goodwill Bootique in downtown Sacramento. I know because I've purchased several jerseys there. Everything is well organized by size and type of merchandise. They have long racks of clothing and a good variety of sizes. They have a rack of short sleeve tops, another rack of long sleeve tops, dresses, formal dresses, jackets, athletic tops, ect. Everything is so well sorted. They have colored tags on the merchandise. Each day they have different sales depending on the color of the tags 25%, 50%, and 75%. I only had a couple of the 25% off items. For those 2 items I saved $5.07. So for 5 items I paid $46.31. On average $9.26 each. Not a bad day Thrifting. Checkout is all self-serve. It's quite odd, but they have a lot of registers and someone helping out. They graciously took my coat and found a tag on it without me asking, which was great because I didn't even see it. I did see it on the Raiders jersey I bought and they removed that after I scanned it in to pay for it. They also have some new merchandise by the entrance of the store, those are not so good deals.

Of course the service isn't that good as it's a thrift store yet the clothing I find here with the price is unbeatable. I also appreciate the book selections here, it's amazing. I recently bought a Levi's sweater for $10, and am looking forward to the cool weather to wear it! Overall would highly recommend when trying to find some nice clothing and books here in Sacramento!

The…read morewife says it's a "sophisticated" version of the typical Goodwill I go to sometimes to find certain DVDs (yup, I still prefer DVDs to streaming) and books, so it explains why it looks so different here. Doesn't really matter to me either way, as I'm not all that interested in clothes and shoes which this Goodwill had the most of from a quick scan. I went straight to the DVD section and they had a decent selection of several genres that I was interested in. I have a few collections of DVDs and add to them when I can. I also look for child and family-friendly ones so I can watch together with my kids or let them watch on their own. They have some books here, but not a lot, and limited genres, but a decent amount, but I didn't see any that was interesting enough to bring home with me. On certain days, there's a 50% discount based on the color of the sticker, so that's a bonus, and I happen to find a few DVDs I wanted to get that was half off. Check out was quick and the cashier guy was friendly. As for the rest of the store, they have lots of home stuff and some electronics in the back, and as mentioned earlier, a ton of clothes and shoes to choose from if you're a serious shopper. Parking is street only, so be ready to pay by meter/app. All in all, this is a nice Goodwill that's "special," but to me it just a fancier looking one, as long as they keep stocking items that are of interest to me, I'll keep coming back.

We like thrift stores. We like St. Vincent de Paul. Sacramento is a worthy stop. We had an extra…read morehour. I developed knowledge in woods and furniture early in life. St. V's usually has quality furniture, well made. This store has square footage and volume. A vast inventory. As generations arrive and leave, thrift stores contain the remnants. Lots of furniture is the pressboard, particle board and veneer of the 70's-2000's. There were still some great finds, oak, a very nice likely mahogany table, 2 leaves, with a coat of paint. Another good dining room set. A cool old dresser and mirror. Our place is too small, 700 miles away and full of quality old furniture. Not necessarily matching, but quality. We left with four items, two of them sealing glass jars, able to hold about four cups of ? each. Ours are raisin jars. We like wooden hangers, found a bundle for two dollars. We had been at the Pendleton Woolen Factory and seconds store the week before. We found a nice Pendleton Branded (therefore expensive) quilt in a belted package, unused, $14. Not wool, a weather resistant quilt, great for a car blanket. Would we return? Yes.

He raved about this thrift store. So I saved it till my mom showed up and we put it on our list. Google maps got us there without a hitch, or almost. We did have to do a U-Turn to get into their driveway, which wasn't bad, the traffic stopped ahead of us due they had a signal so all was good. This is a huge thrift store. You can't miss it from the road. It's on Watt Ave before the bowling alley if you are coming from the 50. They used to be behind a thriving shopping center, but that fizzled out so I'm rarely in this area anymore now that my grandma doesn't bowl there anymore. They have everything here include furniture that they will deliver. That's a surprise. I didn't inquire the fee, but I bet it's worth it. When you walk in they have a board that tells you what colors are on sale. I bought a few things that were 25% off and got one top for 50% off. What a deal. I bet people shop by tag colors and go for the white ones as those items are only $1. What a deal. I didn't see any white, tags, but I wasn't really looking for things by tag colors. I was more focused on things that I wanted and if it had the right colored tag than good for me. They have so much clothing. And I'm mostly focused on clothing and Puzzles. Everything is divide by type and size. There are several alcoves. One had women's dresses in it, which I looked at, but didn't see anything that was worth trying on. I found 2 sets of winter PJs for $6.99 for the set. One silky set in maroon and a 2nd set that was cotton and had maroon stripes along with grey and white. I got a black and white Calvin Kline T-Shirt with Calvin in Silver lettering for $2. I got 2 100 piece puzzles for a friend who had a stroke recently. She's going stir crazy and said 100 piece puzzle would be perfect. And theses weren't kiddy designs either so these were perfect. One was of sea shells and the other is of a decorated elephant. Those were only $1.50 each. They were 25% off what a good deal. And I got 2 other tops for $3.99 each. Back to the puzzles. They are the only store we when to today that had such a wide variety of 100 piece puzzles. I was really impressed by their selection. They also had puzzles with more pieces in them, but none of those got our attention. I don't know if they have restrooms, but they do have fitting rooms. They allow you to take 5 items in at a time, which is totally fair. With dressing rooms going out of style these days, this is a total find. They have so much clothing, they even have a blue room with the more desirable items in it. I looked around, but didn't see anything that caught my eye. Nothing stood out to me as being as a good find. They were pricier than I wanted to pay for those types of items. If you did find anything there you are asked to pay for them separately and not take them out of the area till they are paid for. Parking is ok. They have a lot right out front that was full when we arrived, we parked by the side of the building which was more convenient for me in pulling in and backing out. The other parking lot looked tight. I'm totally sold on this thrift store. I'm going to put it into our rotation.
