Bagels taste good but one time they were plain awful (the owner admitted to dough issues that day). The issue is that I've found the bakery open only about half the time I drop by during listed business hours. A few times they were closed early, then the last time I went (last weekend) they were completely closed, with the sign stating "staffing issues." Don't think I'll go back again unless the baked items improve or their hours become more consistent--preferably both!

They have standard chimney cake creations with ice cream but you can make your own if you wish. There was hardly a wait for your dessert to be ready. I got the matcha monster. The ice cream was so soft, light and not too sweet. The chimney cake itself was light, flaky, with enough structure to hold the ice cream. Caution of taking it out of the paper cone wrapper though because I almost dropped the entire thing. Walking in you can tell this is definitely a very German themed place. The refrigerator case had a few cakes, and another case had strudel. There must have been 10-12 varieties of strudel slices to choose from. A very nice gentleman greeted me, he placed my cake in a box and then I decided to have a piece of coconut cheese strudel while I was there. There was lots of filling but very little coconut (on top only). Still yummy. Later the cake was a big hit at home. Very dense, chocolatey with walnuts. Hubby loved it!
