The iconic store, which boasts the tagline "New Mexico's Sweetest Tradition Since 1956," is predominantly red and white both inside and outside. So, this was one of my first pit stops on November 26, 2025. I grabbed butterfly and bear-shaped chocolates ($1.95 each) for all the youngsters in my family plus a box of the pecañero ($16.50 per 8 ounces). The candied pecans are absolutely delicious. There is spice, but not too much for me. My 12-year-old, on other hand, couldn't handle it. Lol. There was a variety of other candies. The nice male employee at the register worked diligently and in a friendly manner. Free ample parking was available. For more info, visit www.buffettscandies.com

This is a very relaxed store, with windows into each kitchen so you can see the employees creating chocolate delicacies. As we were looking at the eggs and bunnies, we saw the praying hands & Last Supper. The white chocolate Last Supper was more impressive than the milk chocolate one as you can see all the details in the white. Al, one of the employees, told us that the Last Supper is one of the more difficult to create. It does come out of a mold, but needs expert hands to cut away the extra chocolate that clings to the small details. Our niece bought the last one! Al also showed us the framed newspaper clippings about the store and its founders. He pointed out how the third generation is now running the store, and that some of their customers are also third generation. We bought some of the eggs, caramels, and white & milk chocolate butterflies. We are bringing them home and enjoying each and every one. We will be back!!

Before this holiday season, I hadn't heard of cocoa bombs but I'm so glad that I do. Just to make sure these treats were worth the hype, I ordered one and tried it out. The next day I ordered several of them for Christmas presents. Now we all know that the holidays are not the time of year to be ultra-stringent about diets so take that into account when deciding to order these. They do have dairy and the typical high amount of sugar for such treats. When picking up your cocoa bombs (curbside pick up), Two Sweet Sisters will explain how you prepare these. But just for those of you who are in the dark about these treats like I was a few weeks ago, here's what you need to do: These are large treats, so the sisters recommend that you serve them with 10-to-12 ounces of steaming hot milk (or your non-dairy alternative). You will want a larger mug with plenty of room so there isn't any spillage. I don't think it makes a difference which order you do this in but I put the cocoa bomb into the mug before adding the milk. Then I poured the hot milk over the bomb and stirred it as it melted and enjoy. Others have said to add the steaming milk first then drop the bomb in there and stir it. You definitely don't want to "eat" a cocoa bomb on its own. There's powdered cocoa and marshmallows inside the chocolate shell. So you'd have a mouth full of powder. I guess you could do this but would that really be satisfying and fun? Plus, it would be kinda messy. Two Sweet Sisters offers a variety of these -- milk chocolate and white chocolate -- with typical cocoa mixes and marshmallows inside. I think a big difference between all of them is how they are decorated ... Reindeer, Snowball, and Snowflake, along with more traditional ones like the original Simply Hot Cocoa, Abuelita Mexican Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Cookies & Cream, among others. Today is the final day they are accepting orders to if you want them then order right now! If you have questions, contact them on Facebook. They reply quickly. Everyone we have given them to enjoys them so much. We always order extra for ourselves and my kiddos are always amazed about how they burst open. The owners are super easy to work with and are efficient and timely. And their products look EXACTLY like the pictures posted on their website. The quality of Two Sweet Sisters products is top notch and we love that they are local! I cannot say enough great things about them!
