Molten, key lime, berry, salted caramel

This was my first time at Delectable Baking. I won a box of cookies and a drink of choice. While the location doesn't have a drive thru (only reason I didn't give it 5 stars) I tried the stuffed salted caramel cookie first and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too sweet. It was a moist and flavorful cookie and big enough to share, assuming you want to. So you may not be aware it's there. But it's just east of Unser on Northern on the South Side. Great spot where you could even sit and drink a cool or hot beverage and take in the fun artwork on the walls and talk to the kind staff. If you're out crewing for balloon fiesta and just waiting, stop in and grab a coffee, latte, etc with a cinnamon roll (which I need to still try) and a cookie or two. I found the cream cheese on the key lime cookie to be light with sweet tartness. Again it's just enough sweetness and not overly sweet which I prefer. Kinda makes me feel less guilty indulging . Give them a try!

It was good and fast service. We had a pumpkin latte and the desserts were delicious. Can't wait to try their cupcakes or cake on next visit!

Selection of bakery items is very limited. They don't offer regular donuts. Coffee is very expensive.

They resell Starbucks coffee, and their pastries are insanely over priced. Will never be back.

Crunchy layers on the crust and buttery goodness inside that doesn't even need butter. The lady, the son(?) and the chef brought their pastry to our table even if the spot is a food court. They were very nice and patient explaining their pastry. We will be back!

The owner, Bella, was very friendly and gave us tips on other spots to check out around town. What really stood out is that they don't use seed oils or processed ingredients. You can actually taste the difference. Everything feels lighter and fresher. We tried Terry Bradshaw's favorite - the crème brulee croissant. It was creamy, flaky, and worth the hype. The pistachio cronut was another winner. They bake it not fry it, yet it was perfectly crispy. The cronut also came in Madagascar Vanilla and chocolate fillings. Each pastry was also topped with edible flowers. On top of all this, it came in this cute little Louis Vuitton-style cloth to-go bag that made the whole experience feel extra fancy. Highly recommend stopping by if you are at Sawmill Market.

The gravy has a little kick which we loved. Normally we don't eat that much German food, but we LOVE this place. The apple strudel with pecans on top is outstanding, my favorite dessert there. My second favorite is the Oreo cheesecake. I went back again for a second time mostly because the owner personally replied to my last review and wanted me to try the experience again. I respected him for doing that so I made sure to come back next chance I had. The owner Michael went out of his way to make sure everything was okay and make sure my experience turned out great. I really appreciate the fact that even though they are busy, this business still cares about the experience of their customers and their reputation. The owner greeted me, apologized about the last experience and shook my hand and made sure the experience was flawless. I respect this man and the business and I will be back and bring all my friends too.

It is definitely out of the way, but worth it to be able to try something new. Albuquerque is obviously not known for its selection of German food but this is it if you're looking for it. I would describe this as a bakery / specialty grocery store / eatery. They have a variety of baked goods, including strudel and whole cakes. They also have a lunch menu with German delicacies and some grocery items that you can pick up to go. I came out of time where I wasn't super hungry and was only there for a sweet treat, but I would definitely like to eventually go back and try some of the savory foods. I tried the coconut strudel, and it was very good. Exactly what you would want. They had a handful of other flavors and even whole ones that you could buy to go.
