UPS Chico puts all rural addresses on a RURAL DEFERRED schedule which means they will only deliver items on specific days of the week EVEN if the shipper had organized for the item to be delivered on a specific date. Amazon Pharmacy and Store deliveries that are slated for a Friday delivery are being delayed until the following Monday. This poses a health issue for cold pack prescriptions and other prescriptions in this current heat. Even though many people PAY UPS for the My Choice Premium options they are still deferred. Everyone needs to stand up and let them know that Rural money is just as good as City money and they should not discriminate based on location of their customers. read more

I was expecting an order of 6 cases of tile to rebuild my home. They have now twice misdelivered it. This last time, I called ahead to give them directions, so they wouldn't get stuck on the road or leave it in the wrong location. They delivered it to my neighbor's house, 1/4 mile away on his steps. The directions say to deliver to the garage, he doesn't have a garage, how did they think they had the right house? The neighbor is disabled and can't access their steps or the railing on their steps and I am also disabled and unable to move these now soaking wet boxes of heavy tile. I've called two days ago (SATURDAY) and asked them to come move them and deliver them to the correct address. They still have not come to move them and my neighbor can't leave his home or use his front steps safely. Blocking the safe egress from someone's home should NEVER happen, but especially when a disabled person lives in that home. His walker was sitting right at the bottom of the steps, and it was VERY CLEAR that a disabled person lived there. All of our neighbors are gone because of the fire that destroyed our homes. There is no one to help us within miles to move these boxes of tile. I am incredibly upset and disappointed with UPS right now. read more

The UPs stores in Chico, Calif charge a fee to print out return slip for Amazon Prime packages $3.00 Plus taxes. This is a real rip off. Don't go there go to Kohls they do returns totally free as it should be. read more

Haven't had any issues with UPS until I returned a part I received from Appliance Parts Pros. Took it the their UPS hub off of Otterson drive in Chico, CA. It was returned in its original packaging and The clerk didn't mention anything about it being packaged wrong - because it wasn't. Meanwhile, the information on the tracking number, which was working disappeared, and I had to go back to their facility to find out that it was damaged from a UPS driver. If you've shipped with them, which I won't be anymore, they say that there's a $100.00 coverage automatically. Don't for a second think that their going to admit fault to damaging your package. They said that it was packaged improperly, when it was done very, very well. If they thought it wasn't packaged correctly, why did they accept it in the first place? The integrity of UPS has me astonished! Last time I will use them by choice. Oh, and if you are shipping with them, take lots of photos so you can dispute them, otherwise your out of luck with this spineless company. read more

Use anyone else for shipping here in Chico. I had ordered something overnight air and it made it ACROSS THE COUNRY In one day, but once it got to Chico, problem after problem started. I had it marked to be delivered at a ups hub in a CVS because I figured it would be easier for them. It updates and states it was supposed to be delivered two days late by 10:30 am. I never get the delivered message, so I go ask CVS just in case. The manager says he would never use UPS because they skip that spot for days with no explanation and CVS has to deal with the anger. Well my package is now in limbo and paid 100 bucks in shipping for nothing. It seriously blows my mind a package can make it from Florida to Chico in 12 hours and Chico UPS can't get it 1 mile in 2 days. read more

I had the delivery guy throw my package on my porch which shattered and when I called a lady that I was supposed to talk to would not even listen to me. I took the broken package to the facility and they wouldn't help and no one would listen to what happened. Russel has a huge power trip!!!!!Russel is very unprofessional and the way he treated me was very wrong. Bringing his child to work is wrong I would understand if he said I can't leave my child unattended. He just denied to give me my package even though I had the main company ups head quarters on the phone saying to go get my package their. I drove miles away went three times and he refused to give me my package. I have never experienced such a behavior it was like a thrill to him not to give me my package even though I explained to him it was for a customer and I was leaving out of town he had the worst attitude towards me very unethical. Russel sat and argued for over 15 minutes and said if I can't get my package why should you. Russel didn't feel like doing his job he was locked up in a office with his child and he refused to get it even though explain to him it was confirmed it got their from main company. The problem is I have a customer who is upset. I have to refund my customer now because of him I'm a small business owner I'm out of $150 plus gas 45 minute drive and time. read more

A lot and there's always some interesting issue that I've come in with an oversize package a crazy address that's not exactly right doesn't seem to matter everybody's really helpful when we all get it done and the prices are way better than FedEx for the kind of shipping I'm doing so I really appreciate that it's a little bit of a drive but since we always worth it so thanks UPS hang in there crazy times ahead. read more

This year, I have not had UPS deliver a package by the guaranteed delivery date. Multiple times tracking will show the package is "Out For Delivery", but then it never arrives at our house. In the past 6 months, we've had to drive to the Otterson Drive Warehouse to pick up packages on 2 separate occassions because they were beyond the guaranteed delivery date and we needed them ASAP for trips. Their Customer service is the worst and there is always an issue with delivery. I never receive packages through UPS by Choice, and if there is an option at Check out I make sure I don't send via UPS. When mailing packages for work, birthdays or holidays, I always ship via Fed Ex. read more

They don't only steal the packages. They think it's ok to throw them in the middle of the driveway where anyone else can take them. Or leave them in the rain when there's a porch they can set it down and it won't get wet. They are rude and don't care. They are lazy and can't even knock at the door anymore to let you know they have your package. They just leave it there and don't care. read more

We have very serious concerns about the possible criminal (at worst) or incompetent (at best) practices at the Chico UPS. Similar to the Google reviews, we were told by UPS that an "attempt" was made on 12/23 at 11am to deliver a package we were waiting for. We were home all day and no attempt was made. What made us suspicious was that we were sent a food gift from a relative that was also never received. When we contacted the company to inquire, they noted a record indicating the same day (12/23) was cited as an "attempt" by UPS to deliver and, according to their notes, the package was actually "turned away by the occupant to be picked up at a later time". The company reported that UPS said they sent the package back to the company but the company has no record of receiving it from UPS. The contents of the this second package was perishable and there is no record of what happened to it. read more

We bought a mattress from Costco, shipped via UPS. After tracking the package, knowing what day it was to be delivered, I made sure I was home all day so it wouldn't get stolen. The driver left this HUGE/heavy package in the middle of the sidewalk, instead of at my front door, and didnt even bother to knock (I was sitting less than 10 ft away)! The only way I knew it was out there was because I heard, what I thought were my neighbors, and decided to peek out the window. I am a tiny disabled woman! No way in hell I can move a 100+lb box inside my front door,! Had to call my husband to come home from work on his 30 minute lunch break to bring the package in, which would have taken the driver all of about 30 seconds to do. It seems to be hit or miss with your drivers lately, but mostly miss. read more

Chico ups is one of the worst delivery companies you can go though. They do t even knock on your door when delivering a package . All my stuff got stolen off my door step not even 20 minutes after the driver dropped it off because he never knocked, 300 plus dollars worth the product gone!! I went down to the distribution center to complain and all they did was have the driver come back to my place to tell me he put the packages right on my door step. I ask why he didn't knock on my door and his reply was I'm sorry. He showed no remorse and acted like a dick head. Took everything in me not punch this guy in his face. When my stuff got re shipped to me the same thing happened no knock. Lucky I was listening for him this time so I received the first half of my shipment. So when the other half of my shipment was going to be delivered I left a note on my door asking to knock when he dropped it of, but the knock I got was him throwing my package against the door and then he ran back to his truck as fast he could so I had no time to talk to him. Don't ever use ups there garbage and don't care about the items you order. Just go through fedex if you can because at least they will knock on your door. The driver that delivers to our area has decided that he doesn't like gravel roads. He doesn't deliver packages with the excuse of "An emergency situation or severe weather condition has delayed delivery." He is lazy and doesn't want to be bothered. I have contacted UPS repeatedly about this but the driver simply does the same thing every time. This forces me to make a 50 mile round trip from Oroville Ca to Chico Ca and back to pick up packages. Ridiculous. I paid for UPS shipment to my door end expect it to happen. Other shippers like Fed Ex and On Track come out here all the time. I get that coming down the road requires additional time that perhaps the driver doesn't want to spend. However, UPS is a shipping and delivery company. They took my money to ship to my home. Not just to where they feel it is convenient for their drivers. read more
