I usually always take my Amazon returns here and never have an issue. I just bring my item in and they take care of the rest, with or without a box. Today the manager tried to charge me $15 because she said I needed a box for my return. New policy I guess??? Not to mention the lack of customer service. By all means, do whatever you can to avoid this particular UPS store. It's a nightmare trying to return something from Amazon even when you follow all of the instructions perfectly. Not going to blame any specific employees as they were only doing their jobs,, but the store as whole is unprofessional and lacks customer service. Of course, they did offer to repackage it for me, even though it was in its original packaging, but I wasn't about to pay any added fees for a "free" return. and just so you know, in case you have an additional , empty packing box with you they will happily slap a piece of tape on it for two bucks. read more

Today I left the Mangrove store because one of the employees was really rude about me not knowing how to label my return to Amazon properly. I went across town and went to the Notre Dame store and a gentlemen his early 20's with a dark complexion (he looked as if there was a possibility he was from African descent) helped me. He was so kind, professional and helpful. It was an entirely different experience. It helped turn around my day. I am five months pregnant and find myself a little more emotional now than I have been in the past so his kindness went a long way for me today. Wow, wife went in to get item notarized and treated so horrible she left in tears. She walked over to Tuesday Mornings and a woman came up to her and said she witnessed the whole thing. Said it happened to her as well about a month ago. Literally rudest encounter ever! Look at their reviews her and Google. Got a response with a lengthy explanation of what a notary's role is. Deliveries to my house were horrible from all shipping companies. We purchased a box at this store, on my way home anyway, and our deliveries have been almost flawless now. It stinks we have to pay for it but that's definitely not this stores fault. The manager recognizes me and grabs my items when I come in. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! Whenever I walk in I receive a very friendly greeting and I have notice when people leave, myself included, the staff always tells us to have a great day. There is always a notary in the store. They have a computer that is available to all customers so that they can check shipping. A previous review said that you never feel rushed, I agree with this, the place at times will get busy but none of the customers are ever rushed and time is always taken to make sure you receive great service. They have never acted as if they know me at all. They are rude and more importantly, the store charges way too much for everything. THIS IS KINDA LONG BUT INFORMATIVE!! I used this bisiness due to it's great location as I was on my lunch 1/2 hour and needed to ship two items for my daughter. My daughter advised me that she usually goes to the post office but if I didn't have the time, as it was farther away from where our houses are I could try this place as she used it before and had hit and miss success when it came to help there. She gave me the money to ship the items and told me that I should pick the cheapest shipping there was with a tracking number. When i first entered the business and noticed that at 2 PM on a weekday there was only one visible person helping people and there was approximately 5 people before me. My heart sank as I needed to get back to work but these items also had to get shipped. So I decided that it wasn't the employee's fault he was short handed and he was very pleasant despite being inundated with customers. After a short time a lady came out of the back and looked at all the customers and the look on her face was not good. She started to assist customers and was very short and gave quick answers that more than one customer had to ask her for clarification. Then it was my turn... I don't ship items regularly and didn't know my options. I assumed that is why they were the experts, so they could assist me in getting the items shipped the most economical, efficient way. I even advised the items could be squished or folded anything that made it easy and cost efficient. Next thing I know I was quoted a price that was almost double what my daughter told me she pays at the post office AND when I was given my total it was over $6 more than I was told it would be. When I started to ask a question and express my concern about the cost the lady (who honestly looked like the manager) actually told me I could take it somewhere else, not in the helpful, 'you can try to save money', but more like, 'you have no choice as you are running late and you're gonna pay it', way But again I don't know about shipping and I was more concerned that the items got shipped and I got back to work. I paid it with my own money and just got back to work. This whole encounter left me feeling lousy. After all, I think a lot of these stores are more "mom and pop" stores and I didn't want to write a bad review on something like this that could hurt a business. But the more I thought about it, I realized this is so they know how someone, who I believe was a manager, (but didn't even look to see if she had a nametag), acted, and how their customers are treated when they come to them, "the experts" for help. I do not feel like it's a good place to go to feel like you are being economical or getting a good deal. I did ask if they had any flat rate shipping and she did answer that it goes by distance dimensions etc., which I can respect is set by UPS not the store. My daughter who has a business that does A LOT of shipping could have used them as her place to ship if there was more value for her dollar. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I will NEVER go there again. ****remember the $6 difference? That lady who helped me find the most economical shipping, charged me for two boxes, SHE DID NOT ASK, OR TELL ME, JUST CHARGED ME FOR THEM**** THE ONLY REASON I KNOW IS THE RECEIPT SHOWS TWO BOXES FOR $3 EACH. Best Place for P.O. Box Rental! First and foremost this place is in a safe location and even when they are closed, you can get in to get your mail. Lots of lights, cameras, good neighborhood. Expensive? Strict on purchase policy? I guess...? The greeting cards could stand to be replenished...? But the service? Hands down awesome. Every time, awesome. I feel genuinely important to the ladies running the place. They have taken the most amazing care of my needs throughout my moves and commuting. It's unfair to expect immediate 1 on 1 customer service when you walk in to a place with one employee who is already helping someone else. I personally feel the cost (which is alot for me) is well above worth all of the benefits. It was a new process for me and a few important things to learn at first. But Bea who works there is invaluable, she is so peasant and helpful. They are always pleasant. I rent a mailbox from this location. I recently had all of my mail transferred to this mailbox. The address of the location is: 2485 Notre Dame Blvd Ste 370. Therefore, you need to use that address along with PMB ###. This requires 36 characters for your address line. Many companies only allow 30 characters on the address line and drop the rest of the letters after 30. Recently I received a letter in my mailbox from management indicating that if letters aren't addressed properly they will send them back. How does someone tell Aetna, Morgan Stanley, government agencies that they need to change the way they address their packages. They refuse to refund my set up fee and the employee refused to give me the manager's name. If anyone has changed addresses recently, you know how difficult it is to change all of your addresses. Very disappointed with this place and very disappointed at the way things were and are handled. I recommend you stay away from this place as a mailbox rental. read more

Today my son needed to have closing escrow docs notarized. The woman clearly did not want to be bothered from the moment we walked in. She began looking through the paperwork and telling him that he would need to go out and sign any signatures first that were not to be notarized. I have had many things notarized through the years and never been treated this way. Time is of the essence in these transactions and she was completely unhelpful, even telling him he would need to make an appointment and come back later. For what? Everywhere that needed to be notarized was clearly highlighted. There was no problem but she insisted that there was. At this point I called somewhere else in Chico and they assured me that they would take the time to get it done and they were extremely helpful and above all, they were kind. Common courtesy is something this employee is lacking. Came here and they did it with no problems and no issues whatsoever. Apparently the UPS employee was too lazy and doesn't care about the reputation of the business she works at. I can't speak for the other employee there but in the past our experiences have been overall good here. They might want to reevaluate the staff here at this location and make sure that customers are being treated with respect. Just lost this customer over the way she treated us. I'm sure there are others that will similarly be put off by the snarky attitude and lack of willingness to do the job. Shame on this employee.
