It is sad to think that a business as supposedly reputable and long-standing as UPS would be represented locally by a store like this. I have and continue to always appreciate the employees. The employees are the only reason I am giving 2 stars. But, sadly the condition of the store and the owners values and poor overall attitude leave a lot to be desired. Sadly, it is now one of the very last places I choose to go if I need to ship anything. They closed one store, which left many in that area without a local store and the one on Skyway is not convenient for everyone. But, I will always go there before this store because at least they seem to care about their store, and their customers. Keep it up Skyway. And, take a note Mangrove. read more

On Jan 17 at 4:57. The tall kid with curly hair & glasses has horrible customer service. Yes, they close at 5pm but all I needed to do was hand him the package. Everything else was already done. The sign said 5pm. That gave him 3 minutes to grab the package & set it on the counter for tomorrow. I'm sorry, but there was still three minutes before the company says you need to close. I already drove to your location. The least he could have done was taken the package and put it on the counter for tomorrow. Everything was already done. Now I have to drive 20 minutes back to the location tomorrow because he decided to close 3 minutes early. That's just poor customer service. I'm sorry I said what I said. the kid is a prick. And no, I could not have gotten there any sooner because I got off work and drove there as fast as I legally could to try and get this package sent off. read more

Terrible service. Woman at the counter is so rude and condescending. I had an amazon return that would not fit in the box at the self-service counter and the bags were strewn about. No one was at the counter other than my husband and she had an attitude about how I should have used one of the bags there and that I won't get a receipt from her. My husband had equally terrible service trying to ship something with a UPS account number. Guy at the counter said he didn't know what an account number was and then said that the UPS Store does not ship with UPS account numbers, and he could not help us. Not the first horrible and incompetent service I have gotten there. Do better. read more

I came here to return a package to amazon on November 3rd and print out the label for it, but they put the wrong label on my package and now I'm out $125. Amazon won't refund the money because they process returns using the tracking number and since the label that was used wasn't the correct one they are saying the package was never shipped and cannot process a refund. On top of that, I cannot file a claim with UPS because Amazon is the account holder even though I'm the one that shipped it. I still have the receipt which shows a different tracking than the one that was supposed to be printed. $125.... read more

Dropped a return package and the young male clerk seemed unhappy to be working. The young woman was swamped but trying to keep up with the rush. In the end he took my package claiming he'd process it but it never went in the system it just got tossed. I'm done with trusting lazy young men to do what they're getting paid to do. My experience here was not good. There was a gentlemen who seemed to be in his early 20's with a light completion and blonde hair who made my experience not so great. I was attempting to return and Amazon order. Apparently I can't return to order items from the same order in the same box. He informed me they needed to be in two separate boxes rather them being in the same box with both return labels on the one box. I'm okay with this but the way he told me was so rude that I literally told him I felt like he was speaking to me I'm a way that made me think I did something to upset him. I'm 5 months pregnant and emotional and wanted to cry. So I left the store and went to the UPS store near the south side of chico and had a completely different experience. I will be writing a 5 star review for that store following this poor review. Trust me it is worth the drive to go to the store across town. This UPS store ROCKS!!! The best value in town - right up there with Madison Bear Garden, Panama Bar, the (since rebranded) good old "Brickworks", and the no longer active Graduate Bar and Grill. Also, this business keeps their employees on top of things and helpful with their service, much like the staff at the nearby fantastic comic-book shop, BAT Comics. The design and clean lines of the store remind one of the classic architecture of nearby Chico State's residence hall, Esken Hall. And the Packing & Shipping services are as TASTY as the fine cuisine at local haunts like the Italian Cottage and Happy Garden! Amazing!!! AMAZING!!!! Boy howdy!! read more

This is the best UPS store I've ever gone to. You get amazing customer service from helpful and professional staff. Liz has helped me twice and she goes out of her way to help you with whatever you need. She is the friendliest and most knowledgeable person I've worked with in a really long time. I'm a person who is very big on customer service and let me just start off by saying that the employees that work here are extremely RUDE ! I went in for printing services and I had to email them over 8 times ! Instead of addressing the issue politely they literally give you a nasty answer and move on to the next employee ! So rude and inconvenient! Came in twice before this encounter and they seem to be having the Same issue "Our wifi in this building really sucks", "Can you try sending the email by the door", "Go walk to Safeway and then come back maybe it will send this way," Like are you serious ! Excuse me but if you don't have the necessary materials to conduct a postal/shipping service then the job is not for you. I will also be complaining to the BBB because this is fake out ridiculous! Management needs to do better ! Update : So the "lovely" manager responded to my review and first and foremost thank you for taking the time to address my concern on how you run your business . Secondly, Here are more attachment photos that indicate; that yes indeed , I have the correct email. Yes I sent the email from my home to your email at 11:27am, my address to your business is a six minute drive which indicates my arrival time at approximately 11:32am, I resent the same email at 11:37am. (I'm not saying your incorrect, I'm stating facts and times over here.), Thirdly you are absolutely right, I will gladly take my business to Fed Ex in which they address their customers with a high standard of professionalism, correct grammar, punctuation, and hold their business accountable for their wrong doings :)! I just accidentally called the wrong location - the woman who answered the phone (mangrove) was unbelievably rude. When I realized I had the wrong number (google typo on my part) I asked for the correct number- so she googled it for me and then gave me the wrong number. I have worked customer service for many years and the tone of voice she took with me would be a fire-able offense for most companies. I called the right location, they had no issue looking up my box number and expiration date, the woman answering the phone at the Notre Dame location was perfectly polite even though I could hear how busy they were. I suspect the nasty woman is the same woman other people have been complaining about. Clearly this not the job for her. read more

The store location is super convenient and the store is fairly clean. However, it's not worth going here since there is one employee who is always so mean and condescending to customers. I've interacted with her a couple times and I'm always left feeling stupid and embarrassed. I'm scared that I'll have to deal with her again if I go in. Heaven is the most wonderful and increíble employee (tuely) she went far and beyond her job I had went into The Ups store to have my fingerprints done since I didn't have an appointment They told me that I had to make one online I came back into the store because I was unable to make an appointment online because they were booked I explained that I desperately needed them done and that today was the deadline I was getting teary-eyed. (Heaven) told me to come back later and she would do them for me. This girl is worth her weight in Gold she was so accommodating I cannot express to you how genuinely sweet Heaven is and honestly most people at the end of their shift just want to go home I would definitely recommend this place Heaven Thank you so much you're the best! read more

I am giving this place a three star review because three of their employees are stars... A young gentleman who used to work there maybe doesn't anymore, also the manager is amazing, and Nika is a gem. However I will no longer be frequenting this business because of ONE employee. I do not know her name and do not need to call her out... But I think the staff all knows who she is because I mentioned my issues with her and they validated me. I love your business, but this employee has continuously been rude to me. On one occasion even reached over the guest computer while I was using it because apparently she needed to print some thing and completely invaded my space and from then on after that experience last year she has been nasty to me. Usually staff is nice, but there's a Filipino/Vietnamese lady working there...oh boy is she mean. I've seen her yell at people, ignore people, look right through people. On more than one occasion, I've seen her let a line pile up while going into the "back". And she pretty much the same way with the staff. Now this can be excused as a bad day, but consistently? Now retail is hard, but if you don't like people, perhaps another choice of employment is an option. read more

As the Trustee of my recently deceased mother, I have had numerous occasions to need the service of a notary. On each of the most recent occasions, with time sensitive material, I have gone to this UPS store to find that the advertised notary was not there, but that I could go to either the East Avenue store or the Notre Dame store. On the first occasion I had business near the East Avenue store so took my business there. Inconvenient. Thinking that this sort of thing was an aberration I went back to the Mangrove store. Same thing. But this time there was no notary at East Avenue either. Stop advertising notary services if you can't provide them. Lost a customer. read more

I moved to Chico last year after 60 years in the big city that is San Francisco. To my knowledge, there is no UPS Store open in San Francisco on a Sunday, let alone with a notary present. I do a lot of amazon shopping so I do have returns at times I have gotten to the point I go all the way to kohl's to return items because everyone working at this store seems annoyed all the time. I went there to return an Xfinity box. They were practicing social distancing. However, I was in line an older couple was in front of me. Jennifer (employee) passed me by and took not 1, not 2, but 3 people behind me (even going out of the store to get someone standing outside) without even acknowledging my existence. The older couple even mentioned to the employee helping them "why does she keep skipping her"? Once they were finished, the employee working with them helped me. I asked why did she not help me? He said she was new. I'm sorry she could have told me she didn't know how to do a return or just acknowledged me. You would think that the UPS store would have scheduling pickups and actually picking those orders up down pat, but apparently that is not the case with this location. 2 no shows in 4 days (to pick up thousands of dollars of important company equipment that they were hired to pick up and return to the company) = me taking my business elsewhere. In response to the reply from the owner below: no one told me that the pick up time was a one hour window so yes, when they were 30 minutes later then the time I was given (3pm), I called to see where they were and had to reschedule due to them being 45 minutes behind when they said they would be there. And yes, you called me 4 times to confirm the second appointment while I was at work, which was bad customer service in itself. When the appointment was rescheduled, I was told pick up would be at 1pm on the dot since I was making time in the middle of the day on my lunch break since your staff failed to arrive at the first appointment. Someone should have been there at 1, not interrupted my work day to confirm I would be there (I'm not the one who had a problem with that in the first place). Maybe the problem is your staff's failure to communicate- if someone had told me the appointment time was an hour, I would've planned my day accordingly so that I didn't have to reschedule the first time, and if they had told me that the only way they'd keep the appointment was by confirming by phone prior, I would've made sure to have been able to answer my personal phone while at work. Or I would've just used a different company from the beginning that doesn't make something so easy needlessly complicated and then try to blame their customer for their terrible service. read more

I had a nightmare of an experience at this UPS store today. I went in to return a bracelet I ordered off Amazon. It's free to do returns if you have Amazon Prime. I had the return label in an email on my phone. Last time I was there, the clerk just had me send the label to UPS and she printed it out and charged me a dollar. THIS time a different girl told me I need to use their computer-which there was a 2.00 charge for. Print out an 8x10 piece of paper-which there was a .20 cent charge for and then she would scan the paper and print a label for 2.50. I was like WHAT???? I told her that's not what they did last time(6weeks ago) I was here. She kept repeating the 8x10 paper thing over and over again until I got pissed. I then told her to just send it regular UPS and I'd just pay for it. She said it would be about around $5.00 to send(This bracelet is smaller then my pinkie finger and I brought my own mail envelope). I totally got pissed!! Told her I was taking my envelope to the post office--where helpful people worked!$&!! P.S. It only cost 3.00 to return my bracelet to Amazon- through the Postal Service. No annoying employee and no rip-off fees! read more
