But the place has packages based on the number of times you are recommended to treat the area so highly advise the visitors to check out their website. Your website clearly states the estimated length of each laser treatment (for example, full legs - 20 minutes, stomach line - 15 minutes), so I had certain expectations regarding the quality and thoroughness of the service. I arrived early for my appointment and was the only client in the waiting room. After waiting about five minutes, the technician brought me in on time. From the start, there was very little communication. She only asked the standard questions about retinol use, antibiotics, and similar medical information, but she never explained the treatment process or what to expect during the session. What concerned me most was the treatment itself. The technician did not mark or properly assess the treatment areas, and it felt like she was simply guessing rather than being precise. She didn't pause to check that every area had been treated evenly. When I asked her to lower the air pressure because I was uncomfortable, my request was ignored. This location is not the same since the previous technicians left. The level of professionalism and attention to detail has noticeably declined. There was no welcoming atmosphere, no effort to make me feel comfortable, and no sense of structure. What was especially frustrating is that there wasn't a single other client waiting, yet the technician still rushed through my appointment. The session was completed much faster than expected, and I honestly do not believe all of the treatment areas were covered properly. Laser hair removal should be performed carefully and methodically. The technician should be checking that every section is treated evenly rather than rushing through the appointment. As a paying customer, I expect a thorough treatment that matches the standards your company advertises. I left feeling like my appointment was rushed and that I did not receive the quality of care I paid for. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future clients receive the level of service they deserve

I provided it and expressed that I had a poor experience during my consultation but remained interested in purchasing a package and working with a different specialist. No one acknowledged or responded. It now seems I'll be purchasing services elsewhere since Laser Spa doesn't care enough to earn my business with a simple response to an email. The location really is convenient and I prepared for many weeks for the treatments, so this is highly disappointing.

I had a facial here in late November/early December, done by Joanna. I can honestly tell you it was the best facial I have ever received. I have very sensitive skin and it tends to react to new products or anything out of my standard and very ordinary skincare regime. Joanna inspected my skin upon doing anything to it and also asked me a variety of questions ranging from diet and exercise, stress levels, cleanliness, etc. to get to know it better. Joanna then treated my skin in a few different ways. She explained everything as she was doing it and the purpose of what she was doing or applying. It was very informative, while still being extremely relaxing. Typically after a facial, I'm subjected to hide since my face is red from the extraction, but have had the extractions done in the middle of the treatment, I was able to confidently go to dinner afterwards without worrying whether or not I would be all blotchy. Not only did my skin feel clean and wonderful but it as glowing! It did have your standard reaction the next few days, as it was purging all of the toxins, but it subdued quickly. I can't wait to make my next appointment and share the Upper West Spa with all of my friends and family! read more

The Upper West Spa team are my absolute favorite people to work with. I have known and been going to these women for a couple of decades and can honestly say... I have never felt so well cared for, found such expertise, professionalism, dedication and wonderful treatments from "real" people who are excellent at their jobs. From Facials, Express Facials, Manicures, Pedicures, Massages and Derma Pen treatments, I have always been more than satisfied. The attention to details and care are impresssive, the advice and suggestions are also invaluable for home care and or products that are safe and really work. I am always more than satisfied! It was my fist time at the Spa, which is an extremely convenient spot in UWS, right next to wine bar!!! The place is very welcoming and professional. On top of neatness and wonderful customer service, the massage therapist and aesthetician were highly skilled and well informed. They answered all of my questions, recommended the adequate service that fitted my needs and at the end, I was informed that the entire team used to work at Feline Day Spa that closed its doors in 2016. I met a few clients at the front desk who followed the service providers from Feline and was told that everyone is thrilled that one of the former Feline aesthetician opened her own spa. Magdalena has awesome hands, really knows what she is doing, and is social just right (not boring and not too chatty). I like that I am always offered a cup of tea. The front desk person (don't know her name) always makes you feel very welcome. At the end, I am offered various products and get very enthusiastic answers to any of my questions, but I never feel pressured to spend more than I am comfortable with. And I am always treated with dignity and respect regardless of how much I am paying today or how often I come (so not the case at some spas!) and I really like the Halloween with a painted hydration mask. I just had my first laser hair removal experience at Upper West Spa and both the service and treatment were excellent. I was a little anxious but the technician answered all my questions, was super thorough in researching the products I'm using and my sun exposure to make sure I was getting the right treatment at the right time, and she was overall very knowledgable and had an excellent bedside manner. I heard through the grapevine that the Melt Feathers Spa was an incredible place with the best service. I instantly ran over to the address and asked for a 60 minute deep tissue massage. They were able to get me on the table right away. The person who worked on my back was incredible and got into the muscles and a way that "melted" my knots away. They put on hot stones. (My first deep tissue hot stone massage) and they fixed in on my problem areas. At the end of the session I left feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and satisfied. The only reason why I left a four star review instead of a five star review is because when I left a tip they hassled me into leaving a larger tip. "If you really think we did a good job you should leave more money." That was unprofessional and honestly kind of rude. It didn't ruin the experience, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. The massage wasn't cheap but it was worth the extra steps on my journey to recovery.

The procedure was professionally performed and the skin did look fresher upon completion. The only thing that spoiled the impression a little was some moments during the cleaning, which were more painful than I expected. Although the skin calmed down afterwards, it's definitely not the most delicate procedure I've ever had. In addition, in the final a little obsessively offered several products, although I did not ask for recommendations. In general, I can say that this is a good place, and there is the potential to become a favorite. Next time, perhaps, I will clarify the details of the procedure in advance.
