Unfortunately, I did not end up receiving any services from this salon…read more I showed up 5 minutes before my appointment and was told that there were two clients ahead of me. 15 minutes later, she finished with the first client and then told me she would put some color on her next client and then cut my hair. Had I waited until she was ready, I would've finally sat in the chair 20-30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. However, I never got to her chair. As soon as she started her 2nd client, she and her client began to talk about something completely inappropriate and the owner made comments that have no business being said around clients, particularly a new client she had never met. I was so shocked at what I was hearing, I told her I would be leaving and went to another salon. I have no doubt that Kay is a fantastic hairdresser, but between having to wait upwards of a half an hour for my appointment and having to sit and listen to inappropriate comments from her, I am unwilling to give her my business.

I have been very happy with the Brazilian Blowouts I have had in the past at Fabu. This time,…read morehowever, Michele did my Brazilian Blowout and it did not look right from the moment she finished. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and figured I'd see how it looked after I washed and styled. I washed one time with a sulfate free shampoo, the same one I have used every other time I've had this treatment, and my hair still looked frizzy -- like I'd had no treatment at all. I called the salon, and they were immediately confrontational and blamed me because I did not buy the BB products (I did use the BB ionic bonding spray that I had at home), which I've never used in the past, and have previously had no issues. I caved and spent $50 on the shampoo and conditioner, which did not help at all. TL;DR: spent over $450 for a service that has worked great in the past, but did not work this time. Salon blamed me, offered nothing in return, and now I have to have frizzy hair for 8 weeks before i can get it fixed. At a different salon, obviously.

I've been a customer of RODNEY for over 20 years since he began as a simple stylist in a salon in…read moreHarbor Center when Harbor center had just opened. I have followed him all over this city as he moved from salon to salon and from shop to shop. I even flew home to have him do my hair when I was relocated for work. But it seems that Long-term relationship, and loyalty no longer matters to RODNEY and his salon - only money. Over six months ago, I called and canceled an appointment within 48 hours of the appointment. When I tried to go back, I was pushed off onto another stylist who was not as good as RODNEY. And when I asked about appointments that I booked out in the future for Rodney they had canceled them. At the time the staff acted like they didn't know what it happened but today I found out. I had an appointment this morning but woke up very sick and called and had to cancel my appointment. I just returned home from a two month hospitalization and I've been very sick and I explain that to them. But I got a call later demanding $162 for the canceled appointment which would've been half of what I might have paid had I gone in for the service today. I was told if I didn't pay that the other two I had already made would' be canceled. So now I know what happened six months ago. But I got no phone call from them six months ago they just eliminated me off the books without my knowledge. appointments . So after 20 years, this is what it's come down too. After 20 + grateful years and this is how one is treated with and Indifference and insensitivity and a lack of empathy. But the nerve to ask me to pay money for service I didn't receive. But I had been questioning returning to the salon because the attention from RODNEY was no longer there. He wouldn't pay attention to the colors I asked for or the cuts I requested. were requesting. He would simply cut my hair the way he wanted to cut it the way he always cut it even though I was requesting change. The problem was he was always distracted talking on the phone or talking to to people hanging around and not really listening to me as this client anymore . And then to push me off on another stylist was very disappointing. He's supposed to be so busy but I've been in the salon waiting while he walks around talking to people not working on clients eating food, so the quality of the service has just gone down. But it's a hurtful way to end such a long-term relationship. And that they think they can treat clients in this manner and the clients will simply come back because they're the only good salon in Annapolis. Well, that might've been true some 10 years ago, but that is no longer true and clients have options, I have options. So I did my research and found many five star salons in Annapolis and I believe that instead of being taken for granted and dismissed, I'll get more attention and be treated as an appreciated customer. Goodbye RODNEY. Stop thinking so highly of yourself that you can charge outrageous amounts of money for substandard service these days and then dare to demand payment when someone calls in to cancel an appointment because they're ill.
