So Ashley could be a talented hairstylist, but I would not recommend her. I paid her $150 just to tighten my micro link braidless extension, no wash and style. The style was good, but she did a very shoddy job with tightening my extensions. I don't know if her objective was to make them loose on purpose, but they were not very right. I don't mind paying for quality service, but look at this... smh Now I have to find someone who can tighten my micro links to get me through the week again and I just got my hair taken by her last week. read more

Jessica's color skills are lacking. I brought a picture of what I wanted and without hesitating she said that she could do it. What I got was NOT what I asked for-not even close. Looking back, what's frightening is she did not even confirm the color she chose for me. The results were awful. The worst part is she was dishonest about being able to replicate the picture I brought in. It would have been just fine if she told me she couldn't achieve what I wanted- we would have parted ways, no hard feelings. Instead, i now have to spend more money to fix this mess. Very happy with my haircut! Both times I've visited this salon, I was with Angel who did an amazing job. Additionally, both times I went there with very long hair with the purpose of having it cut for donation. Angel was so friendly, relatable, and easy to talk to. I don't typically feel like I am a chatty person, so that can tell you a lot about a stylist who can make you feel comfortable in talking. I don't mind to this style of scheduling an appointment as I much rather prefer texting than calling. I checked out with Angel who utilized a square reader. Quick & easy. I cannot say enough good things about the team at Hair Rehab, especially Jessica. Jessica gave me the exact makeover I didn't know I needed. My hair was longer than past my hips and I was skeptical of cutting it but Jessica gave me time to think it over before I went for the yes. The entire team at Hair Rehab is friendly and so down to earth. They make you feel comfortable and everyone was wearing masks, they disinfect all the chairs between clients including the shampoo stations.. there is sanitizer on deck and I did not see one person without a mask. This was the second time with Jessica that I didn't get what I explained. The first time was just a miscommunication as I was showing her 2 Pinterest photos and when she said, "Like that one," I thought she was referring to the current photo, but instead she meant the prior photo, which resulted in cutting 4" off in the back. So this last time, I made sure we were on the same photo and said I wanted highlights on the ENDS of my hair and that I wanted the back layers blended better. I showed her the photo and I thought we were good to go. When it was done, I mentioned that my anal brain probably wouldn't like the fact that the right side seemed to have more blond than the other side. She told me it was fine. The photo I showed her (included in this review) definitely has highlights on the ends of the hair. She gave me highlights, which I see as 2 blond streaks, all the way up to practically the roots and only on a section of the sides. She also layered the sides too much causing the highlighted sections to be glaringly obvious. Once again, to be fair, I told her I liked it. It wasn't until I got home and really looked in the mirror when I absolutely hated my hair. I sent the same 3 photos to my hairdresser in Durham, NC and she said, "Oh no!! We gotta get you down here." I was charged approximately $105 for this. Jessica is very nice and obviously has a lot of loyal clients based on other reviews. But I felt both times as if she heard me, but didn't listen to what I actually said. read more

Hair Rehab is one of Glen Burnie's hidden gems: there's a lot of fresh talent here, for very reasonable prices! You make an appointment through the individual stylist, rather than through the salon. You can see what each hair or makeup artist is about, and their contact info by checking out Hair Rehab's website. I recommend checking out each stylist's instagram, if available, to see some of their work. I booked Amanda, because I was impressed by her beautiful ombre and balayage work. I set up a consultation with her, and she was very professional, knowledgable, and friendly. I had no problem setting up an appointment with her for a balayage. We started with an all-over red colour, then painted in the balayage to frame my face. We cleaned it up with a well-done trim, and chunky "Zoe Deschanel" bangs. I was so, so happy with the final product! I felt very glamourous and fresh. I received a discount for my first appointment with Amanda, and she also offers a discount for referrals. So if you happen to go, let her know that Erica sent you! (Then refer your friends, to earn a discount for yourself.) Amanda also does makeup, and is often booked out for weddings, so be sure to contact her well in advance! For the salon itself, it's very clean, and always busy. The decor is very hip, and definitely has a younger vibe. However, there were people of all ages getting their hair done there, even some kids! And there were male and female customers alike. It was a very comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, and all the stylists were very professional. Finding a good hair salon is single handedly one of the scariest things a girl will ever do. Choose right and you're set for life (or until you move), choose wrong and you may be stuck with a horror scene fixable only by time and patience. I was on the fence with hair rehab because the reviews were minimal, and I knew of no one who had personally been there. However, I've been desperate to change my hair color for awhile now, I had to take the leap. I called the salon and was booked an appointment with Ashlee E. that same week. As soon as I arrived, she was ready and we got to it. She took me from brunette to blond with a full foil, and the results were phenomenal. By the time she was finished, I felt fabulous and like I had struck gold. I've since returned to her again for continued maintenance on the blond locks, and she continues to wow. The salon itself is very cute, with nice relaxing decor. There is a lounge area with magazines and a t.v, however, I've never had to wait so I've made no use of it. They offer cold beverages for their customers as well. The salon is run as "independent artists ", so you book directly with the stylist you want. If it's your first time, you can of course, call the salon directly and book that way, subsequent visits are booked with the stylist via cell/text. Prices are average, a full foil with trim, wash and blow dry cost me about $155 plus tip. A partial foil with trim, wash, & blow dry ran me about $130 plus tip. I continue to go to Hair Rehab, and to Ashlee, I would definitely recommend both. read more

HAIR REHAB has been open for just a few months, but the owner and my hair stylist for several years now, Jessica, has 10+ years of experience! She's helped me grow out my hair from a really short bob, to colors of golden sunkissed hair, to ombre with almost platinum streaks, to grow it out to really long hair (to my tailbone), then back to dark hair and back to super short now with an undercut asymmetrical bob! She's awesome! She does a lot of men's and children's cuts too! I can show Jessica a picture, talk about the cut and what I really like about the cut. She'll ask me questions about how I want it finished (with texture, curls, straightened, etc). She'll go over color pricing too before she does it so you're not surprised about the cost. What I really like about Jessica is her customer service. She's upfront to you about how long (or how many treatments/visits) it could take my hair to go from my natural dark brown color to almost white or the shade of blonde I wanted. Not to expect it to happen in one visit so it doesn't damage my hair. I always feel welcome and that she's happy to see me. That's what you want from your hairstylist-- someone who appreciates you coming to see her. She's sweet, nice and easy to talk to! Jessica is also easy to get a hold of. The number connects you directly to her and I can message her on Facebook. When I get compliments about my hair, I always tell them "Go see Jessica!" I even got my cousin from New Jersey getting her hair done from Jessica! She says that Jessica is really nice and easy going. HAIR REHAB has personality and it's clean and spacious! Not your ordinary typical hair salon. She even has a cool vintage couch in the middle of her place and a candy bowl at a coffee table and at the "reception desk" which is actually a cool dresser! Jessica, the owner of Hair Rehab, is the fourth hair stylist I've tried since moving to Maryland. I am SO happy to say that my search for a stylist is finally over! After listening to my concerns about a year long struggle with being unhappy with my hair, it took Jessica less than a minute to diagnose the problem. Previous stylists had chopped my layers into non-existence, so my hair lacked body and movement. I am so happy with the beautifully blended layers Jessica gave me. After reading some reviews I discovered that all the stylist have different schedules and don't book through the front desk so I sent Jessica (the owner) a text on a Thursday to see if she had any openings for my mom to get her haircut. Jessica was able to fit her in on Monday afternoon with her stylist Angel. Angel was great! She listened to my moms request to only cut a little as she wanted to leave the length (she was gun shy after a previous bad haircut). Angel handled my Mom with care and continued to ask her about the length during the cut. She even mentioned that she could come back if she needed more cut off after she lived with her new cut for a few days. So I decided on this place after high recommendations from a fb group I'm part of. Love love loveeeee this place! I just had my first visit on Thursday with kayla and I'm going to be a repeat client as long as we are stationed here! The salon is so cute inside, awesome decor and groovy music so it's a fun vibe. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable, but I did have to sit for a while for my processing since I have a lot of hair so I can't be mad about that. Everyone was professional and friendly. I think the owner is the very first person I met eyes with (lady with long blonde hair with the chair closest to the door, looked ownerish to me? Lol) when I walked in, she was hella busy hands full of someone's hair, but she still smiled, acknowledged me, and helped me find kayla to start my appointment. Kayla was amazing! I was so nervous about my hair being difficult plus having leftover box dye, but she aced it and produced phenomenal results. She was very informative about what she doing step by step, and gave me very honest advice about what color route we should pursue, and what technique to use for a flattering look. I damn near cried it came out so great and coupled with me not having my hair done in over 10 years, it was a big moment for me. I went a few times for just a touch up on a color job my old stylist did, and it was fine. Haircut was just alright and price was good, and he can style hair like no other. But then, I wanted to go fully blonde (I had blonde hair with a slight dark root that had grown out a little bit). He said that'd be easy, however I left with bright orange oval around the top of my hair and two dark brown streaks on the back (I'll have to get the stylist at Bubbles who saved my hair to send me all of the photos). He let me leave said it would be an easy fix and that It didn't lift. It didn't look as bad there but once I got home I saw how orange it was. I texted him about fixing it whenever he could and he said easy, he can get me in the next day. He ghosted on me and never contacted me weeks later even. I had been searching for an affordable stylist for a few years in the Annapolis area without much luck but then I found Hair Rehab! I really love the way the owner, Jessica, runs her business. She is obviously very good at what she does and takes the time to get it right. I didn't have a strong idea of what I wanted to do with my hair, but Jessica provided me gentle guidance and everything turned out great! I could tell, even during my first appointment, that Jessica cares about her business and the people she works with. She was explaining to me that she seeks stylists who not only have talent, but are nice, no-drama people. As a customer, the part I dreaded most about previous visits to other salons was the gossiping and the snarky attitudes that I found in most places. I could sense a difference at HR and it made me much more comfortable. I was particularly impressed when, at the end of the day, a customer came in for a scheduled haircut and decided last minute that she wanted highlights as well. This obviously would take more time, but Jessica was super professional about it and stayed late to do it. You can just tell she has worked really hard to get to where she is, and I really respect that. I had a few pics of cuts and coloring I liked and she totally nailed my balyage. It's rare to find a stylist who gets what you want right away so I was very happy. The prices are also really reasonable for the quality. Process wise- each stylist manages her own schedule. I recommend looking on their Facebook page, which has pics of hair and identifies the stylist who did the hair. You can text the stylist directly to schedule (their numbers are on the website). Or, you can call the main number on the site and tell them what you are looking for. They will match you up to a stylist based on what you want and availability. Also, I was able to call and make a same day appointment. Not sure how rare that is, but I'm a last minute person and value being able to call and get a same day or same week appointment. read more

Go see Jessica at Hair Rehab, she's beyond talented and changing lives one cut & color at a time!! After years of hair hopping with no luck, I decided to give Hair Rehab a try. I went there with very little expectations since I'd been let down so many times before. I called and spoke with Jessica (who is also the owner) and to my surprise she offered to move her schedule around to fit me in the next day! She was extremely professional and my appointment was on time! The salon is super cute, clean and the atmosphere is laid back and inviting (some of the larger name salons can be intimidating and not welcoming). I sat in her chair & showed her a bunch of pics from Pinterest (I'm indecisive). Jessica patently listened as I spent 10 minutes talking about what I liked & disliked on each picture (poor Jessica lol). She then offered her expert opinion based on what I described and even threw in some suggestions I would've never thought of but loved! The final result was a game changer! Let's just say every time I leave her chair, you can expect to see 20 selfies in my phone! I always walk out with the perfect blonde, an amazing cut and SOME!! Had a very bad experience. Jessica cut my hair. Showed a picture of what I wanted it to look like. I left there with all my hair gone. Cut way to short and to top that off one strip of hair wasn't cut. What a terrible experience. It was so short I was scared to go back and have her cut the strip she totally missed. Pretty bad that you are claiming curly hair when I asked when I made the appointment if you could cut curly hair.
