My Botox was watered down at the West Village location. I've been doing regular Botox for a specific muscle that tends to spasm for 10 years now. I know exactly how much is needed, exactly where the injection goes, and exactly how long it takes to start working. Be warned: the prices are low because the Botox is watered down. The owner's wife, Tammy Smith has zero empathy, who only cares about money. I suffer from severe migraines. I made an appointment to get treated by Neha (who's lovely) to get injected in between where I get my Migraine Botox shots to fully freeze my forehead. I had a horrific Migraine all night long before the day of my appointment, which kept me up all AM. I called first thing when they opened up. Spoke with the front desk who said "it's fine", "to feel better" & "Don't worry about the charge, just reschedule as soon as you can" (which is the policies of ALL Medspas here in NYC & I rescheduled the second I felt better enough to plan). I was still throwing up & couldn't handle leaving my apartment because I was in so much pain. Low & behold, I got charged for $200 for nothing, even though I cancelled as soon as they opened their doors day the day of. I even tried to cancel at midnight, when I started puking, but their online system wouldn't allow for that. So as soon as I saw the charge I texted Tammy with a text AND a Video of me in bed, icing my head & neck to prove I wasn't just playing hooky, I actually was totally sick. I had her number because she gave me her cell number once because she double charged me the first time I came in. So Tammy said to call & speak with Andrew the manager on Tuesday since it was Memorial Day on Monday. I even messaged Neha the injector told her what happened & she said they will give me my money back. So I called a few times on Tuesday (today), spoke with Manager Andrew, who was so nice, said he would refund it no problem & also rescheduled the appointment for this coming Saturday. It worked out exactly as EVERY OTHER NORMAL Medspa would handle it, except Tammy the owner is a narcissist who has no empathy. She ends up texting me saying that she decided to charge me the $200 for missing the appointment. She said the important thing is that you feel better, but we are charging you. Talk about gaslighting my being sick & manipulatively trying avert the focus of her charging me, when clearly the most important thing to her was my money! The thing that was so strange was that EVERYONE there said it was no problem & they wouldn't charge me. They all had actual empathy, unlike greedy Tammy. I would've spent more than $200, but this woman clearly only sees the short side of things. There needs to be a clause where if someone is clearly sick you don't charge them. I mean just zero empathy. And, I wasn't going to bother to post this part, but the 2nd time I went in to Upkeep, an injector named Naz decided to stop injecting my lips & out of no where without my consent started injecting my nasolabial folds. It was crazy & felt really unprofessional. She just decided my lips had enough & just went at it! It was a weird nightmare. Especially because there are still tiny lumps in my face that I never wanted. I didn't want nasolabial injections. Tammy offered nothing to remedy the situation. I had to suggest (one round of) dissolve injections. It must have been diluted because the tiny lumps are still in my face. They never offered more to finish the job & remove the improperly placed filler. I regret giving them 3 chances. The owner has completely struck out & is unethical. She is not fair. This is during Covid & charging $200 for a rescheduled appointment is wack. WARNING- that owner doesn't care about her customer's feelings or well being. She will charge you if you miss your appointment even if it's when you are legitimately sick. It's not worth their cheap prices because the owner is not a good person & does NOT support her customer's well being. It is a shame because most of the other staff are decent people. Update: I forgot to update this, but am doing so now to have a fair/holistic review up. After calling a few other clinics and explaining the situation, I was having trouble finding someone that would correct this treatment given they wouldn't be able to tell where the initial product had been placed. Everywhere I called said that I needed to see the original injector to ensure that any correction was done in tandem with the original treatment rather than exacerbate the issue. I was pretty beside myself because Upkeep had refused to see me and I looked like a scary clown, which is when I wrote this review. After I left it, they called me and told me to come back in. I went, and while they did place the extra unit at the corner of each brow to correct it, it wasn't without the owner lecturing me in the waiting area in front of other clients about how they knew what they were talking about and I didn't. I had to just stand there and nod and agree politely rather than risk them saying no to correcting it. The injector was very nice, but the interaction with her was awkward too because she'd clearly read my review where I said she was heavy handed and the treatment was more painful than other injectors I've experienced (which she apologized for). The whole appointment was honestly pretty unpleasant and felt passive aggressively confrontational. I really just wanted to get in and out of there. After I got the corrective treatment and went to leave, the owner stopped me in the waiting room again to offer me a free facial for my troubles, which is really nice in theory, but felt very divise in reality. I got the sense that they wanted me to take down my review, which was so awkward. I didn't take them up on the facial because I really didn't feel comfortable going back and having to interact with the owner again, but she continued to call me for a couple weeks and leave voicemails to tell me she "wouldn't take a no for an answer" on the facial. It felt so weird and intrusive. I answered once and just said I'd let them know. After that, I just sent the calls to voicemail, and, after a couple voicemails, they gave up. The good news is, the corrective treatment worked like a charm and I did not have to walk around for weeks looking like an evil villain. The bad news is I had to go through the most uncomfortable social/customer exchange to get it. I have not been back to Upkeep since and have crossed them off my list moving forward. read more

I started here in January 2022... after 13 months extremely disappointed with both Bedford street location and UES location. I did botox, lips, Brazilian hair removal and tattoo removal - spent a fortune. BOTH laser procedures DO NOT work. I emailed the manager over 5x trying to reach someone and they didn't respond until I wrote a bad review - THEN THEY WANTED TO HELP! Finally they force me to keep doing it and won't refund me for the package that I purchased. NOW TWO TIMES that I booked my apt to go again there laser "broke"! Ridiculous! Its been over a year and I have no results from what should have been a really simple laser hair removal process. Absolutely, no improvement or good results. I wasted so much money and so much time going to this place. It was so painful and after all that pain I went through, no good results at all. The owners here do not care about the patients, they care about making money and their business and that is all! I should have known better then to purchase this package when I saw a woman complaining about the SAME thing as me at their Bedford street location in January of 2022 and they again refused to refund her or make it right. This business is run by men and they DO NOT care about their patients. I will be telling all my of friends and co-workers to spread the word that this is not a good place.
