The photos from my wedding day speak for themselves...but here's the story. This was my second time getting a prp facial here (I had one last year and it was a great experience!). This time around, it was extremely painful. I noticed something didn't seem quite right when large, raised bruises started forming around my eye, cheek, and mouth (on one side) 1-2 days later. When I booked this I was assured that downtime is 2 days (see screenshot) and I would be "fine" by my event 6 days later. I reached out for advice with photos throughout the week and followed their directions. I was patient and hoped the bruises would clear. When they didn't, I kindly requested a refund. I received a call from the nurse screaming at me, telling me it was my fault. I was shocked. If she would've called apologizing with a little kindness, I would've moved on from this whole thing. But, the lack of care and being told "why should I do this for free just because it was your wedding" -- unacceptable. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge but I really didn't want it to get to this point. Place is small compared to other spas, but it's pristine and chick, and organized. Upon my arrival I filled all the paper work, they were running a few minutes late (guest before me was late), but they kept me informed and even when you can tell they were rushed to get me in they didn't rush my treatment whatsoever. Purchased a 3 session prp Groupon and used one back in March. Spa closed due to COVID and reopen in July (understandable) . So I called yesterday with hopes of scheduling my second prp session. The lady who I was speaking to which sounded like the owner to me rudely asks me questions- then says "we sent you a text message back in July, that we reopened". And I answered ok?. She then said I had until October to use my sessions. I then proceeded to tell her that I never got a text, call or email stating that. So how was I suppose to know I had until October!? I paid almost $400 and they never had the consideration to call me and let me know that. Steer away from this place! The owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. The second I walked in I regretted because it is not a good vibe. The receptionist who is also the owner/the aesthetician did not welcome me with a friendly smile. She did not tell me her name. She did not discuss or briefly introduce me the procedure or pre and after care. I was doing an one hour - two hours procedure first time extremely painful. No after care was given. I got a groupon for PRP Facial and had an amazing experience. Maria did great job to minimize pain. (If you know what PRP is.. it needs some blood work. Also, injecting plasma into skin etc.) Maria took my blood then put numbing cream on my face followed by micro needling and injecting plasma. It was not a painless procedure but very doable. My face got red and was able to cover them with blemish balm next day. The redness was gone in 2-3 days. My skin feels smoother. It hasn't been a week so I think it is too early to say how much progress my skin made through this procedure. Staffs and Maria were very professional and welcoming. Maria, who I think is the owner explained everything and I said "Let's do it!". She was very gentle and during the process, she explained about other spa services. Amazing place! I purchased 3 sessions of PRP facial and my experience is beyond fabulous. Maria, who performed all 3 treatments is a professional, gentle and lovely person. She cares so much for good results and well-being of her clients and she is very skilled. I'm lazy leaving reviews but now I finished my first package of three prp treatment here, I feel obligated to leave five star review for Maria. She's amazing!!! The first time I came here I almost couldn't finish my prp treatment as it's much more painful than I had expected, I have low tolerance for pain. The second time I took a pain killer in advance and that helped a bit. The third time which is today, I came after a long gap (like five months or sth as I've been on trips and I was hesitated thinking about the pain) but Maria remembers ever detail about me!! She applied the numbing cream twice, waited longer and I finished the whole process without a problem. I'm still in red now but I'm looking forward to the result (if you don't know about prp facial, see amazing reviews on YouTube). I also had a similar experience as N. T who also reviewed Dermaluxe Spa. Although everyone working here is very nice their were too many inconsistencies every time I came in. I got the ULTRASONIC CAVITATION I had 8 sessions. I loved every time I had Ophelia, but I got another lady who would always do something different. One time I got marks on my stomach that Ophelia did point out to Maria the owner, but they started talking in Spanish and didn't try to explain to me further what had gone wrong. I also got the PRP Facial which was the big regret. I specifically asked for Maria always tried to confirm I would get Maria.. and I NEVER GOT MARIA. The first time I got my PRP Facial I never saw Maria even though I was promised to have her to my facial. She basically greeted me in the beginning that was it. My second PRP facial I requested Maria AGAIN and they promised AGAIN it would be Maria. I came all the way to their office on a Saturday and they had gotten my appointment wrong. The lady who did my first PRP was there and she said she would squeeze me in. They had me wait for 2 hours only for them to come into the room after they had already prepped my face that Maria had called and told them not to do my PRP. Which I felt was strange since this lady ALREADY did my first one so why couldn't she do it now making me doubt the business I felt that the girl she let do my first PRP didn't have the qualifications to. Before I leave they ask me to book another appt. AGAIN I tell them MARIA and they promise again Maria. I come in for the 2nd PRP and Maria does take my blood which takes 3 times and 3 bruises. Which I try my best to be in a good mood cuz HEY I FINALLY GOT MARIA. NOPE after she takes my blood the male DR. comes in with the receptionist as the translator. She tells me I'm lucky to have the DR in the office. BUT THIS ISNT WHO I REQUESTED. I can't say anything cuz he's already needling my face roughly. I start thinking about the first time I got it done by someone who wasn't qualified and its probably happening again. Maria is the only one with credentials on the walls and the owner of the shop which is why I requested her. I decided not to get my 3rd and final facial here it wasn't worth the risk.
