Renew Esthetics is an exceptional interdisciplinary spa, however its priority for their patients' health and well-being is what won me over. I began with Renew 8 weeks ago thinking I was going to get a cellulite reduction massage for my legs... Little did I know I was walking into a lifestyle change for the betterment of my health, self-esteem and overall well-being. My first appointment was complete with a full evaluation and a full-dose of reality: Velashape II would not work to reduce my cellulite if I was not serious about the change I was seeking. They were not interested in my money, they were interested in customer satisfaction and obtaining results. I was up for the challenge. The Rejuvenation Body Program was a 9-session package that consisted of weekly deep-tissue massages with the state-of-the-art Velashape II equipment, a Slimming Body Wrap, a biweekly meeting with a professional nutritionist and I even had a few pilates sessions with a personal trainer, which targeted my thighs and abs, the areas undergoing treatment. This was more than I could have ever asked for. The Velashape II is the latest model with a disposable end-piece that provides the deep-tissue massage and also ensures a higher level of quality and hygiene versus the Velashape I; each patient has their own "piece" and the II has an indicator when the piece is wasting and it is time to get changed again. After an hour or so of this deep massage moving around my fatty deposits, my skin was exfoliated with a coffee extract product to prepare my skin for the body wrap. During the most RELAXING part of this package, the Slimming Body Wrap, I was wrapped in a Ginkgo Biloba concoction and lay cocooned up in a heating pad in a quiet, peaceful room for 20-30 minutes. Here I would sweat out any toxins and it worked amazingly after the massage. The nutritionist was an added bonus: after a discussion with this professional, based on my weight, current lifestyle and latest blood work results (requested by Renew to make a better evaluation), she was able to determine what was the best diet for me to achieve my goals. Speaking to her I felt motivated and encouraged. She made it clear to me that I didn't HAVE to strictly adhere to the diet, however, she provided me guidance on how to eat better, read nutrition labels and be more conscious of what I put in my body. This personal touch, along with the pilates classes which showed me how to attack my selected areas, whether when with her or working out on my own, is what makes Renew Esthetics and the Rejuvenation Body Program worth it. During my initial evaluation my goals discussed were to reduce cellulite, lose a few pounds, become more toned and eat healthier. All my goals were met, BEYOND my expectations. A little gem in Astoria, NY! Renew Aesthetics is by far the best location to go for Velashape II. Like everyone out there I look for positive reviews to find the best places before making a decision specially one involving a costly procedure. This place has absolutely nothing to envy to the very luxurious places in the city, actually, I feel that you get a more personal treatment here than you would in the city. Idalis the owner/ Registered Nurse, Esthetician and Laser Technician takes a lot of pride in what she does, displays a high degree of honesty, integrity and very sincere. She is very knowledgeable in Velashape II and explains with detail the procedure and treatment plan. I specially love the way she combines Velashape II with the body wrap in her treatment packages, it definitely helps for quicker results. I have been quite an active person all my life. 5'9, 150lbs, athletic frame. But my only concern was my plumper (the fat pouch by the bikini line). Diet and exercise could not get rid of it. So I decided to do liposuction, the greatest decision ever made. Now I'm as flat as a bake. I'm 7 months post surgery and love what I see. After surgery I was concerned about the lumps and hardness of my stomach. So I read a couple of reviews and seen that vela shape was going to be my solution to this problem. So I brought a 3 session package from Renew Esthetics Medispa on groupon. Great deal. Meet with Ms. idalis for a consultation. I meet with her a month after my surgery. She told me it was too early to start treatment because I needed to heal alittle more so she told me come back 2 months later. So I did and we began the process. At first, it was uncomfortable but painless because I didnt really have any fat to grab on for the machine to roll. As time passed I noticed my stomach getting firmer and the lumps disappearing. Mind you 3 sessions wasn't enough for that so I brought a 9 session package and was very aggressive with the treatment because I didn't want the lumps to stay permanent. So now I'm done with the sessions and the results are excellent. Ms Idalis was very truthful and honest with me. She let me know what I needed to do and it worked. I'm a fan of Groupon but I had not good user experience on velashape promotions. I visited 5 places (SPA,Beauty salon with Velashape and MediSPA) all of then have technician with not experience, no customer service and they make a lot of pressure to sell, which I do not mind if they are honest and I'll explain how it works without lie me, I found Renew for Groupon and I try again after i saw their testimonies I called them for more information and I really felt the difference when they answer me by phone, I came to my initial consultation, I met the owner with excellent attention, very safe with the information about Velashape treatment, experience and very professional. She showed me some pictures of before and after treatment completion, with good results without risks as may be with plastic surgery. I bougth a package for $ 5580 the Rejuvenation Body program (9 sessiones) for 6 areas, my thigh, buttocks and full stomach, it includes medical evaluation, pilates, Nutrition, velasahpe and body wrap, I took a picture at the beginning and now after it my 5 session, I has been the best investment for me, the results are very good customer service and professional staff, I'll let you know here when I finish my 9 sessions. I love this place. Let me start off by saying that the service here is exceptional. I love the fact that everytime I come they are very professional and friendly. I started coming to Renew a couple of years ago and continue to come for all services. I started with a facial and it was exceptional. I've gotten several facials in the past and this has been the best by far. It's relaxing and painless. Idalis is great at what she does. I also even purchased the laser for my face as well as for brazilian. I started seeing results immediately. I have a couple of sessions left for my laser and I am considering doing my under arms as well. I've recommended a couple of friends and family members from out of town to Renew and everytime they come they pay her a visit. Since April when I came back from the army my back had been killing me. My friends recommend me to go get a massage at (Idalis place) for a nice price. Let me tell you that the experience I had was fantastic. First of all they greeted me with a big warm smile even though they never saw me before. Second the price was reasonable compare to getting massage at some mall. Than they always offer water, and always welcome me and their customers with such great hospitality. The person who was giving me introduced themselves in a professional manner. That's to me is very important because you are letting a stranger touch your body. I told them I was feeling pain in the lower back and they made sure when I lied down on the bed that I was very comfortable. This place is great. The staff really knows what they are doing and you feel like you are in a private home with a professional as opposed to some huge spa where the technicians aren't trained or knowledgable. The owner really knows what she is doing when it comes to velashape and understands the procedure while explaining everything that is going on. She is honest and tells you what you should expect. I definitely recommend this place. You can't expect to lose 40 pounds from a few sessions of velashape. You have to be realistic with your expectations. With 5 Velashape treatments done on both my legs and love handles, I was able to get rid of a whooping 8 lbs in less than a month of the procedure. It made me so so happy!!!! Following the treatment, I had to increase my workout hours. I was eating well too. The only problem, which I faced, was that there was a challenge for me to maintain the shape afterwards. However, I am glad with the overall procedure. The treatment was expensive I paid $3K but I rather to do Velashape III that is FDA approval non-surgical cosmetic with a good result than lipusubtion more expensive and invasive treatment. I found this Medispa through Groupon. During my fist call Idalis explained clearly what to expect from VelaShape treatments. She explained that it would not perform miracles if you truly needed to lose tons of weight. I went in for a consultation and I was a good candidate. So far I've had 5 sessions and have seen great results. As other's have mentioned I had to buy a full package (9 sessions) because 2 or 3 sessions is not enough to produce true results. I just had my first facial at Renew Esthetics done, and it's by far the best facial I've ever had. Idalis started by doing an in depth skin analysis and explained my areas of concern. She proceeded with the facial and a nice relaxing hand massage while the mask set. This place is small and very personal. They focus on quality, and I'm very thankful they took the time to educate me about my skin. I am very happy with the service this place offers, I am very picky when it comes to my face and with my previews experiences at other places really had me thinking to try one more, but I'm glad I did, the people there are very informative and attentive. The music, the atmosphere, specially the bed, I fell asleep during my facial of how relaxed I got. They did offer me other services like hair removal but I'll stay with their facials for now, very happy how work is done here.
