They do have several fees that are not noted on their website. On my first session I had to a very uncomfortable experience with the esthetician. I informed management and the receptionist was extremely rude about it. I still went back, on my second session one of the areas I was getting laser on felt burnt and very uncomfortable. I went back today and the manager said she would not switch the area because after three sessions the area cannot be changed and would not accommodate and I lost the session and technically the area. as for my other areas I have no issue with, however you really don't see results. I went to this place during Covid to laser hair remove my underarms, chin and lip hair. I wanted to take advantage of a discount from Groupon. To be clear it is not hair removal at least for me it only minimized the hair. Also be careful as the equipment they use is hot and led to them leaving a burn mark in one of my underarms which now look horrible. For the price they were charging I should have went to Natura Spa on Steinway street which has far more advance hair removal methods. I had my bikini area hair removed at Natura Spa more than 15 years ago and it has not returned. So to be clear their equipment minimizes hair not permanently removed. They have the single WORST customer service I've experienced. Each person at the front desk is so rude. I had to cancel my appointment, as I found out I had covid and was very sick. I reached out to Give me Astoria which is a site that promotes a lot of business. I asked them about a good spot to get facial so they recommended this place. I called made the appointment work it out so it will be doable for my busy schedule. Night before the appointment they changed the timing without asking and when I called and said that I could try but mostly it will have to be on the actual scheduled time, the person who answered said that they have someone else doing full body and they will need to change my appointment. The attitude of this employee pretty much told me that i was not important enough and I guess the prepaid facial was not enough for their business ($90). This employee really made me feel terrible and I told her that I will reach out to Give me Astoria to let them know. She said fine. What is wrong with businesses now? They take customers and their money for granted. Every person who wants a service should be treated equally and with respect regardless of the amount of money they spent.
