Pleasantly surprised at how fantastic this boutique facial spot was last night! New to the neighborhood and was just taking a chance to see if they had an opening last minute for a deep clean facial. Didn't really set high expectations but would be happy for some basic exfoliation so I can have somewhat a nice base for makeup this weekend.. but man did they prove me wrong. For the one hundred bucks it costs.. the facial was equivalent to a 299 dollar facial in Manhattan! Kid you not!! My facialist was fantastic! My face was well taken care of- thoughtful, thorough and precise with the bonus of a really awesome neck and shoulder moisturizing massage!! Divine neck massage!! Divine!! Bonus p.s. bought their in-house day moisturizer with spf, again no expectations, a pretty basic need, (have not replenished my usual Elta sunscreen) Slathered it on this morning.. zero white cast! And absorbed like some expensive French pharmacy cream!!! Looking forward to trying their other stuff in the next facial I will be booking! My appointment was for 10, which is the time they open on Friday's. However, I was taken back around 10:15 to sit on a little couch outside the room. The room was super tiny but clean. The walls don't go to the ceiling so you do hear people talking. There is an oscillating fan sitting on top of the partition wall which is not very safe, especially at such a high height. The aesthetician was very rough through out the entire facial and never explained what was being done. She kept leaving the room for long periods of time which had me thinking she was working with someone else. The extractions were done very forcefully leaving my face with tons of marks the next day. I didn't even have any breakouts when I walked in for the facial only a few clogged pores. I can't understand why she tried doing all these unnecessary extractions. I have had many facials over the years at some very high end spas and some not so expensive. I have never had such an aggressive facial or woken up to my skin being so damaged. Great first experience. I've always wanted to get a facial and I've had this place in mind for years!Finding the place was a little tough because the lettering is so faint. Hope they change the white drapes to black or a different color so their beautiful window decal can pop; would be easier to spot. It's a high traffic neighborhood so I was already overwhelmed. Upon walking in the office is tiny. Still cute. My esthetician Giuliana off the bat had great energy! She was fun we had a little chitchat about life and then we got to business. They offer an adjustable towel for your upper body so I lowered my bra straps , took off my jewelry , shoes and got on the bed. Guilana came in and adjusted my hair with a headband and shower cap. She proceeded with a few protocols before giving me her suggested type of service. I had very little bleeding after and no redness. Just on my popped acne; normal. Most of the products used on me today were Adara brand so naturally I wanted to support. They were not pushy they gave a lot suggestions of pharmacy brands and ingredients to avoid but I decided to support their products . Overall it was good. I'm glad I came here for my first facial. I was not pleased with the service. I went in for a deep cleansing facial because I had some white heads I wanted to get rid of on my face, and when I looked at my face a few hours later when the redness subsided all the white heads were still there! I'm not going to say who it was but she spent very little time doing the extractions and it truly felt like a waste of $100!! On top of that, I had gotten a facial here a few months before this situation occurred and the lady who was doing my cleansing exfoliated my skin so harshly that hours later I got a rash on parts of my face along with a few new pimples. I had such a lovely experience at Adara Skin Care recently. The spa is relatively close to the subway train and easy to get to via public transportation. I went in for a deep clean facial and was highly impressed with the amount of knowledge, insight and professionalism displayed by the staff. I received a cleaning followed by a steam session to open up my pores and then a removal of my white/black heads. This was followed by a cleanse and a mask. After my consultation, I was recommended a product to incorporate into my routine (serum), which I purchased from them directly. They recommend the products, but don't push their own, which I love! They are very rough, they don't care about the customer and they definitely have their own staff/family hype them up. My facial left me bleeding, swollen, and scarred. My friend gifted me this because she saw the reviews and it was close to home. She was roomed in a room up front while I was placed near the bathroom. My lady didn't speak well English but I didn't mind as I knew the spa was predominantly Spanish speaking. But my friend got a translator and I didn't. She started off by asking me my age and if it was my first facial. The she began was aggressive rubbing my face with sponges. My neck was not touched or cleansed at all. She then moved on to placing napkins on my face for steaming. She left me under the steam for over 25 mins and came back refilled the steamer and put more water on my face. At this point I told her I would record because everything was very wrong. She moved on to extractions but all she did was pick at my acne scars with a lancet and rub my face aggressively with her thumb and index finger. She then put a vitamin C scrub on my face and said it needs to dry. She came back in and with her gloves rubbed my face to the point where I smelled the rubber on my skin from her rubbing so aggressively. She cleansed with the sponge again, but a serum and then a rubber mask. Forgot about me until someone else walked into the room accidentally rushed removing the mask so it felt like a wax rubbed my hairline because she got it in my hair then put the moisturizer on and sent me on my way. I recorded the entire processing post steaming and informed the manager. She told me she didn't want me to think bad because of one person and to give them a chance. So I decided okay. She said she doesn't speak English so someone will be there translating the process. I decided to bring my friend who spoke Spanish. She started off by saying no one can be in the room because it's small. So we said okay. She said this facial won't be any different from last time because they did nothing wrong. I told her I didn't return for that same experience and if that's the case I will go home. She said no she'll be gentler but it's the same. I was hesitant. I go into the room and tell her for my own sanity I will record my face again. She spazzed out yelling no!! And I told her I won't be recording her or posting it or her facility simply my face, as I was allowed to do before and have seen others do. She runs out the room and says she can't let me record it's against the policy and only influencers can record. I told her I don't feel safe not knowing because if this goes worst than before no one will believe me without the video. She continued yelling and I left. They have no idea what they're doing there. They have no customer service skills and for the prices they set, it's unbelievable how comfortable they are treating the client like shit. Please save your time, money, and skin but don't go here. The customer service is very poor. They have preferential treatment with their customers. As in they treat "influencers" better and with more benefits than the regular degular customers. Their receptionist was very pretentious for no reason. Overall, i received very bad energy and did not even want to book an appointment anymore after receiving terrible customer service. The customer service wasn't the best. I got there an hour earlier- yet my appointment started 15mins later. Not punctual- the person who was doing my facial was doing another person's facial at the same time. Therefore, I was left for long periods of time waiting "while my products were absorbed by my skin", supposedly. Another thing is the recommendations of multiple products for my "already healthy skin". These products only have the company's logo - doesn't specify what they are composed off and are all priced very high. Finally, the beds where filthy, full of other individuals hairs, gross! And so was the towel to wrap yourself in. It was dirty and again filled with hair! I would not recommend this place, it's a waste of time and money. If you are coming to this business, please keep in mind that you will need to walk in practically with no personal items. I was told to take off my very small gold necklace for my facial, which I followed with all trust that my items INSIDE the room of service will be left with me only and the esthetician. At the end of service after paying for my treatment plus getting advice on how to treat my skin and buying their products, I lost track of my necklace. When I called to report my necklace they were already closed (Saturday at 4pm) and business is closed on Sunday. I called in Monday several times, but also left messages over Instagram during weekend. I got footage of me walking inside the business after being told I did not walk in with my necklace and had to zoom in and show them that I indeed walked in with my small cross pendent. I asked for footage of the hallway which I didn't get, due to the fact that during my facial, I kept hearing the door opening and closing. The owner responded saying they are not responsible for personal belongings, but how can a customer who saved their money and waited months for an appointment be solely responsible for their items that they have no choice but to come in with when one loose sight of their items with their eyes being covered 95% of service time? I am undecided whether they are incompetent or a rip off. I walk in there to a make an appointment even before I spoke the receptionist proceeded handed me a flyer and advised me about their deep cleansing facial. I advised her my interested was in their radio waves treatment, and she stated I would have to get the deep cleaning facial first. The reason being I would have to my pores cleaned first, fair enough. I thought OK, then I expressed I would rather have microdermabrasion and she reiterated I would have to have the deep cleaning facial first to address break-outs. Very interesting, considering I haven't had a breakout in over 30 years. Secondly, microdermabrasion exfoliates the skin; therefore, is a deep cleanse. My only consideration of choosing this place was because of the proximity slightly more convenient, and like to get my treatments about every 4 to 6 weeks. In the neighborhood, in general, you can get a deep cleanse facial for half the cost there is no need to use this site for deep cleansing facials. In addition, if they are not knowledgeable enough to know that exfoliation is deep cleaning, then I have to question their competency. I give them slight credit the location looked clean and well lit from what I could see. read more

I've been coming here after months of suffering from hormonal cystic acne. My face has many scars and when I arrived My face was very bumpy. I started seeing results after the first visit my face was finally getting its texture back, the scarring will be another process but they have peals, and microdermabrasion that I'll be doing soon since my skin is finally getting under control. It's a journey and some skin require multiple frequent visits to control infections an oils. I've been going every 2 to 3 weeks for my first 3 visits and I'll soon be only coming once a month. It's worth the investment and it's super relaxing! I reccomend the toner (its magic) and sunscreen. If you have acne or normal skin try this place out. The best facial I ever had! I had the deep cleansing and moisturizer get facial, it lasted 1hr 1/2. She extracted all of the junk I had on my face and my face has never looked so bright and smooth! Honestly feel like this place is hyped because of instagram and if you don't have a large following on instagram or aren't considered "popular" you don't get the same treatment. I came here with my 12 year old daughter after about a month wait for the appt, I received my confirmation call the day before , after traveling for an hour I showed up for my appt and apparently "I was never on the schedule" that already put me in a bad mood. The receptionist ended up making my us fill out a basic form with our info not to mention the same form with all previous clients info were scattered all over the front desk. Very unorganized. We were taken to the back and put in separate rooms, this was the part I hated the most , the same esthetician that was working on me was also working on my daughter, so she would work on me for a little and leave me there for a while to go work on my daughter. I'm not sure if this is how they work there but I've never experienced that. The esthetician was very nice and my daughters face cleared up a lot which is why I am giving 2 stars but overall I would never go back. read more

They always give me the best attention and treat me with good care, while they do service they keep checking up on you to see if your good. Before I started with adara my face was really bad very oily acne and a lot of whiteheads and redness, now that I had about 5 sessions my skin been looking so much better little of blackhead, I do not breakout as much and they tell you how to take care of your skin after their facials.
