My face was partially paralyzed from getting TMJ dysport here. I want to let everyone know that I have gotten TMJ dysport numerous times throughout my life because of how aggressive the TMJ is. I spoke with the injector after I realized half my face had become paralyzed and she let me know there was nothing to do besides wait it out because it's dysport and can not be reversed. I called to get a refund and Victor the manager told me I had to come in for an evaluation/follow up. I sent pictures of my face to victor as well. I asked why I need to come in when I had already sent pictures proving the paralysis & was going to see a doctor regarding it & he said it's their process. I had to take off work to come 45 minutes uptown for the injector to tell me the exact same thing she had already told me & was also unsure why I had to come in for a refund. Victor the manager told me he isn't authorized to give me a refund and doesn't know what to tell me besides to call him after seeing a doctor. I asked him to put me in contact with who is authorized and he told me "you will go through me." I then called upkeep once I left the facility to get my consent/liability waivers for my records because I now have to see a neurologist and no one at upkeep med spa will give them to me. I went into the patient portal, they are not there. I tried to Google it, it was not online. I called the BBB and they don't have upkeep med spa on record. I spent almost $700 on the dysport, I wasted 2 hours of my work day traveling for this "evaluation" where I was told I won't be getting a refund, and my face is going to be paralyzed for a minimum of 3 months. I also now need to take more work time off to get help from a neurologist so he can make sure I won't have permanent damage from this. DO NOT COME HERE! They could have just refunded me and apologized, however, they made me waste my time, miss work, go see a specialist, and waste my money. read more

I felt so comfortable with Delaney! This was my first time and everything was so smooth and easy.

To be honest, the only good thing about this place is the prices/deals. Every time I walk in there I feel SO judged and the 2 girls at the front look at you like you're scum. When you are paying for expensive services, it should feel luxe, warming, and comfortable, but instead it is static in there. No hi's or hello's. I want to support them because they pride themselves on being women owned and operated, but I cannot deal with attitude and poor social skills. Why not 1Star?? -the good thing about this place, I will say, is that the injectors themselves are really sweet. They let you take your time, I was passing out and Harry gave me juice. this time I went to Jess and she was nice too- although I do think she tried to upcharged me on more expensive filler when idk if it was necessary ... also again with the lack of communication, she sort of just left the room when I had numbing cream on and didn't say anything, and I could hear all the girls talking outside the room, giggling and stuff, which is just weird? maybe it would be nice if you got to know me a little bit before you poked my lips? But whatever for the most part they are good (Jess was good about showing me what it was looking like and not going to crazy in one poke) ALSO NOTE! They give people $$ off for posting good reviews! They do it right after you're done with the service so you have to time to reflect. "You can receive $25 dollars off when you post a 5 STAR review" crazy!!! So don't believe everything you see here.... Even I posted a "fake review" the first time And What really upset me today was as I was checking out, and the women did not speak to me AT ALL. No "how was your service?" "Looks so good", "let me check you out", "you're all set" NOTHING!!!!! And then, they pressure you to TIP!!!! Tip? You're medical professionals, I completely understand tipping if I had an extraordinary experience. But I barely had a decent experience. If you don't tip on your card, they direct you to leave cash in an envelope for your service. So awkward. DO NOT GET BOTOX HERE! Hands down the worst experience of my life. The injector botched my face. Not only did I end up with one eyebrow noticeably higher on one side from the poor injecting skills but also was also surprised to have been injected a large amount unusually close to my left eye (only that eye weirdly) in the crows feet area. It resulted in creating laziness in that eyelid that I haven't previously experienced having botox in that eye, ever. I was in TEARs over the experience. I called the practice to explain my distress over the results, and had the nurse practitioner attempt to even out/fix the result, on the eyebrows at least but was not successful. Honestly the LEAST they could do is provide a refund after a result like that. Don't risk coming here read more

Alexis is incredible, I have previously had Botox and fillers before done by a plastic surgeon but didn't quite have the result from lip fillers that I wanted. I was initially nervous to try upkeep but had seen Alexis's work on instagram and wanted her to do my lips. She took her time assessing the work I had already had before, she made her suggestions for Botox and fillers based on what I requested and never tried to upsell. She took her time filling my lips and made sure everything was evenly placed. I have minimal swelling and bruising the day after and am delighted with the work. The photo below shows a before and 1 day after the fillers (still some swelling) but the result is fantastic, it's a great natural result which is exactly what I wanted. read more

Beware of their horrible customer service. I was running 10 minutes late to my appointment due to train delays. I sent a message on Instagram and was told it would be fine. I was the last client of the day Upon arriving, I was told that I would not be able to be seen because they're closing. Understandable but if it wasn't fine like someone told me, I would have rather been told that on the phone rather than wasting my time still coming to the office. My appointment was rescheduled. The minute I left, I received an email that I was charged a cancellation fee. I was not told in person that there would be a cancellation fee for moving the appointment. Which I did not move by choice but again because the staff could not be bothered to stay 10 minutes longer. This is completely unprofessional and fraudulent. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told to send an email to customer service. Customer service told me there is nothing they can do. I understand 15, 20 minutes but 10? Really? I've been here multiple times and expected to be treated better. Take your money elsewhere! read more

So it's been months since this review was written. Management at the establishment has responded to my original review stating their apologies and to reach out to correct the issue. LIES. After months of contacting them I finally get a response and they say they Can't do anything about it. Seriously, go to Ever/Body or Alchemy 43. Anywhere but this place. If they aren't wrongly charging customers $250 for every minor inconvenience without being able to reverse it, they are botching women's faces and making the client pay to have it fixed. They should be ashamed of themselves. Considering all the other women complaining about this, I'm surprised a lawsuit has not been started yet against them. read more

I've never had a hydrafacial before, and I've only had two other facials. Not only was Taryn accommodating, she was kind enough to explain the process to me as she went through the steps of...dare I say, perfecting my skin?! I left feeling like my face had been loved. I don't remember the name of the esthetician who administered by Botox, but she was also kind, and helpful in figuring out what was best for me versus what was affordable for me (LOL). She made the process quick and easy, and reassured me that the swelling would go down fairly quickly, which it did. I have been receiving botox treatments for years now. Newer to the NYC area, I decided for my next appointment to try upkeep with my sister. Upon arrival, we were not greeted and basically told to sit as the receptionist finished her personal call. After sitting and waiting for 20 min, I asked the receptionist what was taking long. She explained the appointment prior added additional services. Once that guest left, we were told to both go in the back in a room that should not have fit us both in there. The injector asked what we wanted, proceeded to make the necessary marks on my sisters face then looked at me and asked if it was ok? We were shocked that she would even ask that which didn't give us confidence in her ability to inject. During my consultation, the injector killed a bug with her hands then proceeded to put on gloves and try to touch my face. The rest of the experience was again concerning. I personally spent $300 on botox that did not last me two months. Again, I had been receiving botox for years now, and have never experienced services like this. My services were in August and my sister and I decided to return to my old injector to be "fixed". My normal injector was shocked at the level of uneven settling in my face and that almost 30 units of Botox in two months shouldn't be this way. I asked to use the $200 towards my treatment, even half would have been fine and Reshma said that was not part of their policy. We will no longer be going to this trash establishment, any professional would have worked with a loyal customer especially since I booked with a new esthetician whom needs to build clientele. I was asked to tip on over $1k of Botox services for TMJ and forehead. Unknowingly I assumed it was standard practice and wanted to do the right thing so I left 20% (over $300). I later found out that for medical practices like Botox injections tipping is NOT standard practice. A quick google search will confirm as well as asking any legitimate medspa, it's not a haircut. Injectors are paid salaried wages and these services are regulated as a medical practice. Left a bad taste in my mouth so I'll never go back despite the fact I had hoped I would be a regular customer. read more

I never ever give negative reviews but my experience... I would rather warn others away so they don't have this experience. The space is absolutely adorable and the front desk girls are very kind. However. Alexis.... That's a different story. She aggressively tried to push Radiesse on me before I even got to explain my experience with the different injectable brands. After a bit of talking she instantly took back the Radiesse, and began trying to sell me other services that were not applicable to the results I wanted. She was also extremely rude when I began to ask more follow up questions, she said she was not used to all of that- that meaning follow up questions? Her general attitude was so poor I almost wanted to cancel my treatment right then. The Botox wore off the fastest it ever has from any establishment. And she then pressures you to tip her by standing right behind you. Maybe try UPKEEP but DO NOT book with Alexis/Lexi. You've been warned- don't want anyone to experience the unpleasantness I did- especially in a medical spa, it should be fun. read more

I am torn on this review but I've now been a few times and have almost always gotten the same experience. I went for an appointment last week and I'm still not fully loving this place. The results I've gotten with Botox are fine, however it's a hit or miss as far as the customer service. 99% of the time I've waited 20+ minutes past my appointment time to be seen which is crazy. So if you are planning on coming here, I'd make sure you aren't in a rush to go anywhere after. Also I have gotten Botox for years now at several different places and have never been asked for a tip. Asking for tips on something like a Botox or filler treatment is not standard practice since it's a medical procedure so it's uncomfortable when they seem to expect it. read more
