Got Botox a few months ago. I had a conversation about how I wanted very minimal results and a low amt of units. The injector, Collin kept talking me into doing more units even though I didn't want a lot and had gotten Botox in the past. He convinced me to do a lot more in the glabella. When injecting he didn't even mark my face which resulted in my face looking completely uneven and my eyebrow and eyelid on one side being so droopy that it affected my vision for about 4 weeks and I was so embarassed in my day to day life. He was clearly super inexperienced, not to mention his own Botox looked terrible and so overdone. Then when I called they told me come back to fix it but they had Collin with me again making me feel badly and like he didn't do anything wrong. I am the customer. I was not happy and my eyes were so clearly uneven. and he was telling me he was going to inject even more. I refused and told him not to touch my face but he kept pushing. I left without getting additional Botox (thank god). I didn't trust him at all at that point and just wanted it to go away. The owner sent my complaint to corporate and they did not offer me any refund. This is terrible from such a big company and I would not trust them to do my Botox again.

If I could give you zero stars I would. Someone needs to inform these geniuses who are running this place that we are in a global pandemic and that once people are testing positive with a virus that killed millions - THEY CANNOT COME GET BOTOX. Smh By far the most unprofessional, low end, "med spa" I have ever dealt with. I got covid and cancelled my appointment (as is required) and they charged me a $200 fee even after I proved I had covid by sending my test in. Unreal. First of all by law, and protected by HIPAA I do not have to disclose any test for medical reasons to a private business however I did so anyway. I asked for management to contact me regarding it - they refuse. 10 emails later - still battling. Honestly, you can tell that they cater to a very low in crowd, doing budget work and they are very low in customer service. It's actually tacky let alone dangerous. I had heard warnings about this company before, I should've listened when my friend got Botox and bruises with a crooked eyebrow. Run far. My sister also went here and told me that they water down Botox, she usually only does 40 units and she did 60 there and within two months it was completely gone. It seems like they make up the revenue with their deals by charging everyone for cancellation or modifying appointments and skipping on Botox. Also, always wear a mask if you do go in and risk it because of their abrasive cancellation fees of $200, I can only imagine how many people are coming with active covid into that place. Gross. The funny thing is, instead of building a loyal customer, (I just moved from Miami and needed a new injector locally), especially someone who does Botox, fillers, dermal threads, lifting threads, facial peels, laser hair removal, and spends thousands of dollars every few months on my face alone, they would rather try to scam me for a lousy $200, low budget move. Small minded business model. There are many other salons and medspas who have much better customer service, quality and friendly demeanor. Going to the Shafer Clinic instead thanks! I suggest you do the same.

Thinking about getting lip filler or botox? Please avoid this place! I had to have everything that was done here reversed. Found the nurse to be extremely heavy handed or just down right incompetent and negligent. A week after my (unusually painful) injections, I still have noticeable bruising on my forehead and my eyebrows have DROPPED when usually I see a lift in their appearance. My lips are also lumpy and asymmetrical. I've done injectable treatments several times before and never experienced these side effects.

I will never return to this spa not only because I was botched because of poor injector technique but because of the poor management this place has. I originally ended up with right eye droopiness after getting Disport. Four days later I noticed my eye was droopy and heavy, when I reached out to talk to someone I got the run around. To begin all I was asking for was eye drops that would assist with droopiness and the injector told me I had to wait two weeks because it would interfere with my healing. I'm a nurse and that's not true. So then I escalated it and asked to speak to a supervisor, I had to get angry to get a supervisor to call me back. Which is completely unprofessional. When she got back to me I was already so upset. She scheduled me for an appointment with who she said was her expert injector. To begin I would have never gone with an inexperienced injector if I knew they had expert injectors. When I saw the gentleman he injected me with 6 units on my eye lid and asked me to wait two weeks from the original injection date. I not only waited two weeks I waited almost 3 weeks to reach out again and tell them I still had the droopiness. I asked for a supervisor to call me back. I was asked to text back a picture of my eye which I did. Once again no professionalism by not returning my call. If I was the owner of this company I would have management follow up with clients they make mistakes on. This company has completely ruined my holidays. As I was unable to enjoy Christmas and new years, and have limited my outings thanks to them. I have attached an original picture of my eye and have also attached where the supervisor once again never responded after I sent her the image of my eye 3 weeks after the disport. I shouldn't have to keep reaching out and get mad for them to reach out to me this just speaks volumes of their poor customer service and accountability.

I have been an UPKEEP medspa patient for about almost 3 yrs now. I normally go to the UES location and get injected with Cynthia (who I still love!) but for last min scheduling reasons I booked at the Greenwich Village location with Michelle! It was my first time at this location & it was super comfortable and cozy. The receptionist Amanda was incredibly sweet & accommodating from the moment I checked in to the moment I left. Even though I knew the process of getting my lip fillers done, she still answered any questions I had! I am also so happy that I was Michelle's patient. Being that I like to have the same continuity in team care, I was a bit nervous but Michelle was just the best. I requested for a bit extra numbing cream which she honored. We spent some good time figuring out what brand and shape would look best. And the overall outcome was just amazing. I did do a quick lip, so less bruising for sure. But again I was just so happy that even POST-lip filler, my pain was honestly a solid 2/10 at most. I will continue to go to UPKEEP medspa because they are just all so great every time! Now I have another location with great injectors and staff like Michelle and Amanda to look forward to. I am looking forward to seeing them and Cynthia again!! Thank you ladies & Thank you UPKEEP MEDSPA for always taking care of me.

I've been going to @aestheticsbyannetta over the course of the last year and have had 2.5 ml of lip filler done by her over 4 sessions. She is AMAZING and has literally turned my naturally very thin lips into my dream lips. She is always so considerate in goals I have for my lips and so kind and sweet. She explains exactly what she's doing and why which is super helpful. Annetta makes me feel comfortable and it is a joy to get something done by her that would normally be a very nervewracking thing to get done. Highly recommend Annetta at Upkeep :) So happy I found her!

Location: Upkeep Medspa - Greenwich Village Appointment: 'baby-botox' (dysport) to keep it as natural as possible and not make it visible for others. Areas: Just my frown and a bit on the side of my eyes (not my forehead). I then got quoted for 78 units (totaling $350) that included injection points on my forehead. As I simply wanted a little touch-up. I told my injector this was too much and I wanted to do less. The reaction I got from my injector was quote 'You need that much but you just don't want to pay that much.' I was very much taken aback by her reaction which seemed completely out of the blue, and finances weren't something I mentioned either. Needless to say this was a pretty bad customer experience and that that comment came across pretty offensive. I communicated with the location post-appointment, and they only offered me a 'free-consultation' with the same injector (which I'm not interested in as my whole goal was to do less instead of more). read more

I've done two services here, and I intend to continue them as long as I'm in New York! *Aug 2020, I did the "quick lip" filler, which was a special price of $250. The nurse who did it was a sweetheart name Naz. She assured me the do's/donts s & did a follow-up check as well. *Sept 2020 to April 2021: I've been doing the micro-needling packages that are offered. The prices are honestly too GOOD to be true. $80 for a session as a flash deal?! YES. This gives me regret on not purchasing a year's worth in one go! Taryn and Flora at the WV & UES locations are both very patient. Went to the Brooklyn location for a full syringe of lip filler and when I described what I wanted, which was just more volume the injector suggested Juvaderm Vollure. I had gotten filler done previously with no issue or reactions. Overtime I noticed lumps in my top lip but couldn't dissolve til after I gave birth. I came in for a consultation to discuss these lumps before getting more filler and was told immediately I had to dissolve them. They offered to do it for free as it was their mistake. I asked the injector what could cause that and was told either a reaction or the way an injector injected the filler. Ofc it was the latter as I've had this done previously. Dissolver was put in and was told I'd only need one session and to wait 2 weeks. Flash forward one month my lips are still lumpy no change whatsoever. I make a follow up appointment with the same injector and she says I need more and should be good after this session. I go to leave and am then informed I have to pay $150 for it now?!?! How when it was free being that is was their mistake and I was told I needed one session which didn't do anything. Forward to another month later, my lips still have no difference and now I have to find a different spa to go to that can actually dissolve the filler they injected since they clearly cannot. I was so happy when they said they'd do it free of charge being that they caused it but after my second appointment and being charged I will not be coming back. Worst customer service as I was fully prepared to go to them for another syringe (w/ a different injector ofc) and instead I'm charged an extra $150 because of the lumps they caused me lips to have. Also, I was told to go with a lighter filler next time that isn't as dense. This leads me to believe my original injector only suggested Vollure as it was one of their pricey "premium fillers". Horrible.... Extremely horrible customer service. They won't refund or credit when I made a simple mistake of booking the wrong appointment. They lost my business as I'm a repeat customer and I will make sure it's known for everyone. I have always had down turned eyes but after having my first child & many sleepless nights, my eyes had become so hooded that I looked and felt sleepy even with a full night sleep. I hadn't gotten lip filler and Botox in over a year and a half. I am VERY particular about who I go to for filler and had not found anyone who worked to my standards. After thoroughly researching on Instagram, I found Kaley. She's pretty new to Upkeep but I loved how natural the lips she did were. I went to Kaley for lip filler and Botox and she completely exceeded my expectations. She used the natural shape of my lip and built on top of that. I will never go to anyone else again because of how amazing she was! I cannot recommend her enough! read more

I have been seeing Alexis (who is fabulous) for two years, however she has recently cut down on days she's working and is booked up for weeks and weeks in advance (for good reason!!). I couldn't wait 2 months so I decided to take the risk and book with a new injector. I made an appointment with Shivani for dysport. The first red flag should have been when I mentioned I had a wedding this weekend and then was flying to Europe for a trip, she looked at me with concern and asked why I wasn't worried about the bruising I was going to experience. Huh?? I've been getting preventative dysport/Botox for over 4 years and have never once bruised. I know some bruising can happen at injection sites, but the injectors I've had have always managed to avoid any bruising. Sure enough, it's been about 24 hours and I have a fully black left eye. It looks like someone punched me. I am not on blood thinners and followed all pre/post treatment instructions. It's clear she nicked a major blood vessel, something it seems she does often since, according to her, her patients normally experience bruising. An experienced injector would have been able to avoid this. I would recommend avoiding Shivani for any injections if I were you. To add insult to injury, no one ever picks up the phone at this location and they take hours to answer texts, so it's impossible to get in touch with them. It took me 7 full days of playing phone tag to make this appointment in the first place... Also, just to add on since I'm already writing a review, they have a pretty predatory tipping request. When you go to check out, the receptionist asks if you want to include the tip in the bill or just Venmo directly. A) medical professionals should NOT be accepting tips... and B) the wording of it always leaves me feeling very pressured and with a sour taste in my mouth. Especially because this time around I had a black eye visibly forming literally as I checked out. read more

I've been seeing Naz for Botox for over two years. I only do my 11 lines and forehead and she does a really nice job keeping me looking refreshed but natural. She always is very upfront with cost per unit and what she feels I truly need. Upkeep is a great med spa. I love their aesthetic and they always offer great deals on all of their services on Instagram. The pricing is very reasonable and I've referred many of my friends to Naz since I started coming here. Definitely check out Upkeep if you're on the UES and thinking about injectables. I'm so glad I found them and I keep coming back! read more

If you're in the market for botox and filler I highly recommend Nurse Injector Jess. I went to her for my first ever procedure (lip filler) and she did an amazing job. I had been wanting lip filler for a long time, but I was pretty nervous. She took her time to explain everything in detail and made me feel super comfortable in the room. My results were beautiful and enhanced my natural shape, which is exactly what I asked for. I went back to Jess for masseter muscle Botox and a little cheek filler and I'm obsessed with how my bone structure pops now! Please save your money. Not only do they have extremely poor communication but they move your appointment without talking to you first. I've spent nearly $600 in microneedling treatments for very minimal changes to my skin. They offered / performed additional treatments that typically cost additional money (for the same membership) for my friends but I didn't get that. read more

Jessica is BY FAR the best injector I've ever had. She's so unbelievably knowledgeable and makes her clients feel super comfortable, while clearly explaining each treatment. I got my underarms done a couple of years ago and had positive results, so I knew I was in good hands. The space is super clean and quiet - since this is a new location, they have limited hours while they are ramping up. Check in is really easy - you just check in via an iPad and they'll call you back when they set up the room. The appointment itself is also very fast - I'm done in literally less than 5 minutes (time varies depending on the area you are getting done). I believe they upgraded their equipment so their laser treatment doesn't hurt at all! There's a mild warm feeling from the laser, but I felt no discomfort or pain during the procedure. Kiki was also very kind and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. They run Groupon deals pretty often so it's well worth the cost (especially since the results seem to last even after your last session). You can only use a Groupon offer once a year, but their normal prices are pretty affordable for the city.

I returned two days later to wax my legs and get a clean up of the hair left by the first tech. I was fortunate to get Daeja who was thorough, and she touched each area as soon as it was waxed, which helped to soothe the immediate pain. I quickly changed my next appointment from the first tech to Daeja. If you don't like walking barefoot on sketchy floors, I suggest bringing a pair of slippers when getting a leg wax. Also, I bought several of the recommended products and broke out so severely, I had to see a doctor who prescribed anti inflammatory meds. Check the ingredients before buying the products or do a patch test to ensure it agrees with your skin type. I look forward to my next wax with Daeja because I know she will be thorough and she is customer-friendly. I'm rating my second experience in this survey, not my first visit. I always sign up for the wax pass offer when it's available because you get 2-3 waxes free and it's an overall discount on the service as well. Really wanted to love this place as I regularly get Botox for migraines. Unfortunately, I will have to continue my quest. My botox takes at most 15 minutes. I get it every two months. The injector was fine definitely not amazing a little rough but, I didn't end up looking like Spock which was good. The issue I have is one they won't fill up the product in front of you. If your a veteran to any injections this is definitely a red flag. My second problem is when I'm spending nearly $600 for a 15 minute medical procedure the very very last thing I want is to be nickel and dimed for a "tip". I've NEVER tipped for a medical procedure. If you google tipping for Botox there are MULTIPLE articles the explain how ludicrous this concept is. It's like tipping a doctor. Yes I always tip for a facial or message but definitely NOT for Botox. Upkeep PAY YOUR PEOPLE this isn't a Postmates delivery. Your employees shouldn't have to be worried about tips or have to ask their patients how much they plan to tip. Stay away!! read more

Naz is a MAGICIAN with a syringe. I have had several (7ish?) lip enhancements over the last 10 years or so, and have paid significantly more, but never achieved quite this result -- and she only used .5 ML! I was starting to wonder if I couldn't achieve perfect symmetry because of my face or something LOL but no, now I realize it was the other way around -- less than perfect injections that just made my face look uneven. I've attached pics. Booking was a breeze, the place is gorgeous, everyone at the front desk was friendly. Only thing I'll say to keep in mind -- get there early, and if you need numbing cream go a full 30+ minutes ahead of your appt. I was about 12 minutes late due to confusion on my part so they rescheduled me for later in the day and then when a work thing came up I tried to push it for another day and they notified me I'd have to pay the $200 cancellation fee so they ARE serious about that. Which is totally reasonable but something to consider. TLDR -- GO, like yesterday read more

I found out about this place on Facebook, and I had such a great first experience. Both the exterior and interior are so pretty. Not only is it pretty to visit, but the staff were all SO friendly! I was running a tiny bit late, so I called ahead and Andrew was very understanding. When I arrived, they were thorough with their Covid checks, which I appreciate. I highly recommend the nurse practitioner Naz; she was not only very professional and thorough with her explanation of each step, but she was just so sweet. She worked hard to understand what exactly I wanted and executed it perfectly, all while making sure I was comfortable. I've been getting Botox regularly for 14 years now with different providers (couple different MDs and a couple different NPs) and truly, have never had a better result than Iryna provided me. I wanted to try treating areas I've never treated before: lip flip and neck bands, and results are AWESOME! My best friend and I decided on going to Upkeep Med Spa after some extensive research on lip fillers. The lady at the front desk was very warm and bubbly and checked us in with no issues. They offer a bunch of serums, face mists, and even clothing to feel apart of the upkeep family. We were very nervous but, Neha was the best! She listened to our concerns and gave her recommendation all while helping us achieve exactly what we asked for. She constantly asked how to we felt about it throughout the entire procedure. Absolutely love this place! The staff is so fun and welcoming and I felt very comfortable as soon as I walked in. I was greeted with a temperature screening and hand sanitizer and the place was incredibly clean, so my Covid fears were gone. I came in wanting lip filler and Kristie helped me decide on the right amount. She was so great and incredibly helpful, and I feel like I am in very good hands here. My lips were done by their nurse Naz and I was a bit nervous but she walked me through the process and it went super smoothly! I never write reviews but this was my first time getting any kind of injection ever and I just had to share my results. I came in for an under eye enhancement and I can not brag enough about my experience there. I was suggested a cheek filler and I am SO glad I did it!! Such a subtle difference but honestly SO worth it. Overall experience was an 11/10 I was terrified going into it but honestly it wasn't painful nor did I bruise AT ALL. I just wanna say this place is AMAZING. Not only do they have the CUTEST storefront in the upper east side, but they provide EXCELLENT service. I went for a facial with their esthetician Florella and invested in some of their products and my skin have never felt more smooth and clear. I also added Botox to my service. The staff was super friendly and made me feel safe to be there during this pandemic with their cleanliness. I like the new medical spa and what they did to the place. I've been coming to Florela for the past 10 years. She is the best esthetician. Her facials and laser treatments are amazing as well as her chemical peels. She doesn't rush the process and she knows exactly what she's doing. I also love that she explains what she does and what she uses and doesn't just randomly throw stuff on your face. The staff is great as well , but I am coming mostly for Florela.
