So, I got on Yelp and decided to use their AI Assistant to find someone who could help. The responses came faster than I could have anticipated. The first one was from Leo at Leo's Upholstery. This was a business I was already considering, being somewhat close after 2 in Oakland. Leo's reviews are what sold me, outside of how responsive Leo was to my inquiry. I dropped off the chair, had a great chat with Leo about the chair, what we had done with it and other topics. He said it would be ready by Monday or Tuesday. I receive a text early on Tuesday morning, letting me know the chair was ready. We arranged a time and I came to get the chair. It was as promised. It's fixed (after many months of being damaged), it looks great, feels solid and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Leo will be my Go-To Furniture repair going forward.

We made a mistake in buying a Mitchell Gold sofa and specifying a down seat and back. We sunk into the sofa in a way that was uncomfortable. We sought out Leo's Upholstery to firm up the seat and back pillows. Leo came to our house with several different foam density samples and wraps. He spoke very knowledgeably about the pros and cons of each. Leo took our cushions back to his shop and 10 days later we have a firmer, more comfortable sofa. Since then we've sent him 8 Pottery Barn dining chairs that have "bottomed" (i.e. lost the firmness of their seat cushion). We look forward to reusing these chairs rather than replacing them.

Started out be…read moregetting a quote online, not all upholstery places are able to work on office chair, due to the seams on the plastic frame backing. Then went in-store to pick out the fabric. I wanted to change out my fabric cushions on my office chair as it was staining and creasing. After I picked out the new material all I had to do was wait and get the cushions back. Everything fit perfectly as cushions are taught as if they were brand new. Even with the new material the grooves and contours were all maintained.
