They didn't have the Stone Lain Stella Porcelain Round Dinner Plates I planned on checking out during my visit but they did have the pink heart plate, which I promptly noped out of when I saw how glitzy it was. The location has limited selection and in my opinion is only worth a drop in if you're in the area and a fan of Sur La Table. Personally I like the Williams Sonoma vibe and style more, so I likely won't be back.

One year & two years later our bracelets have held up so well, no breaks. Sienna, who does their permanent jewelry, is lovely and super attentive to detail. When we went in for our newest bracelets, they kindly cleaned our other ones, as the stones had gotten a little grubby in the past year. They have a wide ranging selection of chain styles and tons of beautiful charms to add on. We were also able to request a particular stone/setting in advance. All of the sales staff are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! We have shopped at their original Oakland location during busy hours when they have gracefully been juggling multiple customers and still made the point to check in with us. Their Berkeley space is super open with lots of room for browsing. I've always had great customer service experiences at this store. When you see a product you like, you've got to pull it off the floor immediately so other covetous patrons can't grab it -- I've had people tell me they want something I'm holding in my hands if I decide not to buy it; the employees graciously hold my picks behind the counter for me. One time I was looking at rugs and an employee pulled up all the images of the rugs I was interested in for me on the website with an iPad since they can't unroll them for you. Another time I was buying a sconce light and the cashier grabbed me a brand new one still in the box to replace the display model. The inventory changes all the time and there's always a good selection with a lot of cool stuff. Occasionally something might be a little dented but mostly the merchandise is in perfect condition and good quality.

The staff are French and Belgian, and their accents add to the European, chaotic, friendly charm. Bring boxes or bags, because you have to lug your finds around with you and get them to your car. The prices are low because it's a warehouse sale, not retail. They usually have glass, ceramics, linens, and kids items. Vive la France!

But there are other stores here along with restaurants and coffee shops. Seems like this is more of a place to hang out at to me. They had live music the time I was here. I got lucky and found some street parking, but make sure you feed that meter, the Berkeley meter patrol doesn't play. They are waiting for that meter to expire and they circle this area a lot!!

It's not a big street and there's a limited number of shops, but it's nice to take a quick stroll down. I'll be honest, none of the shops here are really from brands or stores I would normally shop at (lol rich people stores), so we really didn't stop by a lot of them and most of them were closing for the evening anyways (I have learned that lots of things in the Bay Area close quite early). There's some street parking and some parking lots but it looked quite packed. Not sure what it's like on a non-rainy day.
