I brought my 2015 Lexus RX450H to Jose a few weeks ago by the recommendation of Lexus of Concord. I called Jose that afternoon and he said I could stop by on my way home from work to take a look. At that time, he spent a good amount of time with me, sharing fabric swatches, etc. that he would recommend for my vehicle. He was very precise on his color match and extremely professional - he is most definitely an expert! A couple of weeks later, I called to schedule the appointment and he was able to get me in ASAP. He had my vehicle for most of the day and my only regret is not having taken a "before and after" photo. WOW! I was blown away by the quality of work, I feel like I got a new car! Jose is a wonderful person and businessman. Very kind, professional, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I feel like I've found a diamond in the contact of Jose! Thank you so very much for your beautiful work! read more

40 years of great work.At BMW Concord we recommended Jose and he always came through with perfect quality. He had material that I'd leftover from all those years to match your car or boat read more

I have a convertible which has a 20+ aged top of vinyl which needed to be replaced, given the upcoming Spring showers. I had a top which is intact but needed to be either repaired or completely replaced. I had shopped around and I was getting all sorts of priced quotes. Jose, the owner, was honest and told me to probably replace the whole top, which had to be ordered. He gave me a middle quote and it worked with my budget. He just needed a 10% deposit and he told me to bring the car in once the top came in. It was a little over a week, but he was able to get the parts in and he told me he could replace it in a day.I brought my car in at Opening and he had all the work done in a full business day. I picked it up the next day and it was exactly what quoted me and the work was perfectly installed new top. I will definitely keep his business in mind if I needed any upholstery work done to my cars. read more

Jose and Gabriel of Superior Upholstery are artists - Gorgeous transformation of my 1999 Porsche Boxster. I'm the original owner and it's been such an amazing car. I bought when I was 24 and had considered finally selling. Now with the fresh seats, my 13 year old son is insisting I keep the car (affectionately known as "Hans") so he can drive it one day. The seats look, feel, and smell amazing courtesy of the soft and quality leather they used. They perfectly matched the original stitching and the euro perforations. Their pricing was fair and about 10-15% less than other shops I had called. They are well worth the wait! read more

I stopped by this business to see if they could stitch a console cover for my 68 Shelby Mustang. These covers tend to tear due to elbow stress. Because of the vintage of the car, I spoke to about seven shops who refused to do the repair, or wanted to charge an astronomical amount. Jose was kind enough to listen to me and asked me if I had time - I showed him the seams needing repair and In short 10 minutes, he came back with the console cover beautifully stitched at a very reasonable price. read more

Jose and crew installed an aftermarket canvas top on my NC Miata. Then they reupholstered the driver seat left side bolster, a universal Miata wear-and-tear spot. I could not be more pleased with their work. Here you receive real craftsmanship and a fair price from people dedicated to their craft. read more

Great shop, the pricing is the best. And I have taken him every thing from a RV to classic car head liners.

This was my first time using upholstery services and Superior Auto & Upholstery made it pretty straight forward. I needed to get my headliner reupholstered and they were able to accept the cardboard piece itself and was given a fair price. They did an amazing job replacing the old fabric with the new. The photo I've attached was just the middle of my progress of securing the headliner back on my own, but I intend to show how nicely they stuck that fabric on there. It's as if they pulled this headliner out of a brand new car. read more

Very professional and helpful and the price is very reasonable and the work they do is beautiful

I needed two Sea Doo seats covered for our jet ski. We started the project at home thinking we could stretch and staple the vinyl seat covers. This proved to be a way bigger task than we had imagined. I first called Howard's upholstery in Concord. He referred me to Superior and they were just that - Superior. They got the job done in one day - and now the seats are immaculate. I really appreciate good, fast service for a fair price. Thank you to Jose and his brother. Highly recommend this shop for auto and boat upholstery needs. read more

What an amazing job Jose and his staff did on my truck. It looks like brand new! I wish I would have had the seats reupholstered years ago. Very professional job and his pricing was very fair. I can see why Jose has been in business for over 44 years. I would definitely recommend Superior Auto Upholstery to anyone looking for upholstery work! Thanks Jose. read more

Great work and super fair pricing! They did great work on the boat seats and bench on my boat!

Awesome shop! First cabin workmanship! I called all the upholstery shops in the east Bay Area looking to get the seats redone on my Malibu skier ski boat, & Jose was the best, most affordable, he worked with me on the price & design to get the most bang for my buck, I took the seats out of my boat, & brought them to him to be redone, great turn around time, 2 weeks when other shops were telling me 6-8 weeks. I was ecstatic with the finish product when I picked them up! Far surpassed my expectations, everything looks & fits great in my boat! Highly recommend Jose & the guys at superior. read more

I have nothing negative to say about Superior Auto & Upholstery or its owner, Jose. Very well run operation. Staff of 4 including Jose. I've brought 2 vehicles to them for assorted repairs and/or rejuvenations and they did a superb job on both. They're not giving their services away for free but they are worth every penny - and to know me is to know how cheap I am. :-) Jose and his staff are personable, honest, friendly and always available to ask questions. read more

I had a small project I needed done. I needed the cover replaced on my center consul of my truck. Dropped it off with no appointment on Monday morning and picked it up Tuesday afternoon. Jose was great to deal with, price was very reasonable and the finished product looks great. read more

Jose is a friendly guy who does great work. He's in a strip mall full of other car repair, auto body, etc.. type shops. It's very crowded and parking is not easy. BUT, it's worth the slight inconvenience to have the work done right. He's not cheap, but the quality is very good. I have a 2009 E350 Mercedes that the front driver seat had become cracked. Turns out, they use vinyl on these cars...go figure. Anyway Jose ordered the right material and about a week later did the repair. Completed all work in a day. Turned out looking like new. Very happy and confident in referring business to Jose. read more

Jose is a very nice and reasonable man. Took my 2014 Ford Taurus here to have the drivers seat foam repaired due to it being worn out from many hours as a Lyft driver. Not only was it repaired, but he used thicker foam than the used factory and now the seat is even more supportive than when I bought the car. Excellent service and gets the job done quick. Would recommend to anyone. read more

Jose did a great job on our golf cart upholstery. The craftsmanship was impeccable, reaching back out to him to do my bosses now!

We needed to have a roof headliner redone and Superior did a fantastic job on it. Took them one day to do it and it is perfect. I would recommend them to anybody. We are going to have them redo our front seats. They're also going to redo the convertible top on our 66 Mustang. read more

Always watching soccer when you go in and standing around, yet told 4 different people different stories and excuses every time when asking when they can do the work. No follow through and says he busy for months when they are always just standing there doing nothing. several different large jobs that could have been done, but excuse after excuse, doesn't order the fabric... just a mess of a place and a WASTE of time. Not sure how they are still in business with the poor customer service. read more

Asked them to replace the bottom seat covers on my 2001 Tacoma pick-up. They did that and also replaced the foam cushion material on both seat bottoms too. They now look and feel like new. They do excellent work and the price was fair. Jose had us pick from fabric books to match color/pattern. He called me when material arrived and scheduled date to drop off the truck. Work was completed in one day. I highly recommend Jose and his team at Superior. read more

I have an Acura MDX with 142,000 miles on it. I want to keep the car for as long as I can. The upholstery was splitting on the drivers seat, the front passenger seat, and the back bench seat (so basically everywhere). The dealer was quoting me thousands of dollars to replace all the seats. I called Jose at Superior Upholstery and he suggested I come in to talk to him. He looked at my seats and said that if he uses leather he already had it would be about $700 to fix everything. The leather he showed me didn't quite match, but I was okay with it. He told me my car would be ready in two days. Two days later he called me to say it was ready. I was absolutely delighted when I picked it up. Jose had taken the time to dye the leather so it ended up being a very close match. It looks great! I am very impressed with Jose and I can recommend Superior Upholstery without reservation. read more

Bought a 2002 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer with 105K and in need of some TLC. The driver side seat was splitting and cracked all over. My other mechanic recommended Jose to me. To cut to the chase...$388 for the driver side seat...out the door....asked for three days to get the matching leather and then completed the job same day. Excellent craftsmanship...true to his word. I can offer no higher praise for auto repair. read more
