Delicious cab with cheese and flat bread..
David V.

This place is a lot of fun and the wine selection is eclectic to where you can do a flight or a glass at a reasonable price..cheese board was delicious and paired well with a Napa Cab..$30.00 a glass..6 oz. Perfect to unwind and catch up with an old friend.

I hosted a small party for my boyfriend at Unwind. It was great for a small group they do have a private area and will provide table service at no additional cost.

Unwind is my favorite wine bar in the city. It has delicious wine, a great patio in the heart of Hyde Park square, and very good appetizers. We've had the same server, Anthony, the last several times and he's does the best job of being attentive without being overbearing. The owner has also been there each time we've gone and you can tell he is very hands on and passionate about his wine bar. We love the ambiance by outside and in the wine bar.

Nice place to grab a drink! Large selection of options. They also have a small food menu. I got the cheesecake and my friend got the hummus trays the cheesecake was decent.

Would love to try this place when I gets warmer out; they have such a nice outdoor seating area! Service is great, even when they're busy! It was really crowded on the weekend and is actually pretty loud inside due to high people-traffic (there's street parking right outside in front, of you can park in Hyde Park Square and walk across the street). Take advantage of their happy hour (4-7pm)! $2 off most apps and glass pours! The wine flight is such a great way to try different wines and the Apple and fig crostini was such a good appetizer, different but really tasty.

Bathrooms are very clean. The vibe is clean and chill and the atmosphere is great. I'm not a wine drinker but if I was this would be the place I would go, winos heaven. I had a nice waitress named Natasha, who walked us thru the menu. I came to unwind before the start of my birthday week and i ordered the chocolate cake. The cake was so dry, the ganache was flavorless, and it came with a berry sauce that was to much sauce for the cake. I ordered a ice cream with the cake and I didn't like it either.. but I could taste the fresh ingredients. The small menu of food is vegetarian, and it's small snackable type cheese and crackers thing. But... come try it yourself

House-made Sangria

I came here on a date, but truthfully, it's Unwind that I fell for. From the romantic mood-lighting, to the great wine list, there's lots to fall in love with at Unwind. It wasn't the wine or the mood that sold me, though... it was the stellar and genuine service. From the moment our id's were checked, the staff was quick to share a laugh and make everything about the experience so personable and memorable. As someone who knows very little about wine, I was quick to order the house-made sangria. The sangria was delightful and was exactly what I wanted. Next time, I'm definitely going to let Unwind take the wheel and recommend some wines for me to try (I don't trust myself at the driver's seat). I cannot wait to venture back to Unwind for what I'm sure will be another great experience.

It was a Friday night, so probably pretty normal. All of that said, our meal was delicious. We loved the arancini appetizer (the sauce is finished with a lemon zest and was excellent) and the bread with butter was so, so good (do not skip it). We shared a margarita pizza and it was delicious. I recommend waiting a minute for the crust/cheese to firm up but the flavor and crust were amazing. I had the bolognese and it was absolute perfection. It's a large serving and I had leftovers for a couple days. My husband got the cacio e Pepe. He liked it but I found it sort of flavorless and not enough pepper. For dessert, we had the Pope's salame. It's unique and very tasty! We could only eat half because we were so full but I'm glad we tried it.

The vibes were quaint, cozy, and moody -- perfect for a lovely fall evening. Parking is tough so give yourself enough time. It's definitely a tighter space, so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties, but the staff handled our group with such grace and care! We started with a few appetizers: the arancini had a nice kick, the bruschetta was amazing, and the burrata with pesto was really, really good. My drink of the night was hands down the Tequila Old Fashioned -- so smooth and well-balanced! For dinner, I had the Cacio e Pepe, which was tasty but a little heavy on the pepper for me. I also shared a Caesar salad that was really fresh -- just needed a touch more dressing for my taste. Overall, a great addition to the lineup of Italian spots in the city. Cozy atmosphere, thoughtful service, and that cocktail alone will bring me back!

I've made my way through the entire menu (food and drinks), and there honestly isn't a single item I wouldn't recommend. Everything is consistently spot on every single time. That kind of reliability is hard to find, and it's exactly why I keep coming back. That said, a few personal favorites stand out. The goat cheese flatbread appetizer is a non-negotiable. It's the kind of dish you order "for the table" but secretly don't want to share. The cacio e pepe and pasta rustica are also incredible and always hit. As for drinks, the seasonal espresso martini is always a go-to and never disappoints. But my personal favorite is either the regular old fashioned or, when I'm feeling myself, the wagyu old fashioned... especially if Scott is behind the bar. He clearly knows what he's doing, and it shows. The service is always warm, attentive, and consistent, which makes the whole experience even better every time. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, and a bartender who takes his craft seriously. I'll definitely be back (again...and again).

I have had this spot on my list for a while. I started with a cocktail, the Soda Italia Mojito and it was so refreshing, bubbly, and delicious without being overly sweet. I ordered an appetizer for my meal. Unfortunately I did not feel well and ended up taking almost all of this home with me. I ordered the Bourbon Wagyu Burrata. This app was hand pulled mozzarella stuffed with braised wagyu brisket and bourbon butter and served with crostini. I just ate this for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The bartender said these are made to order, mozzarella pulled and filled after I placed my order. The atmosphere was cozy and right in the heart of Covington. Both bartenders were super friendly and when I said all of a sudden I did not feel well, they took my meal and put it in a box for me and got me an ice water to go. I will definitely stop in the restaurant again to give something else on the menu a try. Probably will order the same cocktail as it was so good.
