I ordered sway bars and moderate lowering springs for my model 3 2021 long range. The sway bars came quick but when I asked about the springs, I had to email the sales team, shipping and one individual. I asked updates probably twice a week for a good month and half... Worked with Eric on getting some lowering springs for my model y. Communication was great. Install went smoothly as well. Arrived on site and did a quick walk through of the car before they started the install. Took about 2-3 hours. Overall the springs are great. At first the ride was a bit stiffer and had some noises. But after a week or so of driving it, it's definitely settled in a bit. Ride is comfortable and soaks up the bumps in the road great. Quieted down as well. I made a few visits back to the shop and they weren't able to fix it. When I was first deciding whether to buy a model Y Performance or a Mustang one of the factors I was reading about was the suspension. There are only a couple places making a suspension replacement for the model Y. Unplugged is one of them. I was stoked to see they were in California. I wrote to them and Adam quickly responded, describing the luxury performance coils/suspension, the cost, and suggested I get on the waiting list. The youtube reviewers I found said it was a nice improvement, not shocking but worth it. Both of them had lowered the car. I told Adam that I wanted to drive the car for a few months first so I could appreciate the difference. He agreed and said the waiting list would be a couple months anyway. So, I got fully used to the feeling of the car, driving from Santa Barbara to San Diego regularly. Pretty bumpy but so fun (its surgically fast). Anyway, finally got the call for the part and appointment. Adam is super engaged and helpful, describing all options that they offer. I got a hotel room for the night before the replacement and dropped my car off that night. They got to work first thing in the morning and by the time I left my late checkout at 1, they were done! Super awesome shop, next door to spaceX. Clearly passionate and knowledgeable people, certified to work on Tesla (won't harm your warranty). I saw both people that test drove my car after the fix excited at its performance. So I paid the rest, shook hands with Adam and drove to San Diego. Dude. SO MUCH BETTER. Not a little bit. Allot. Really smooth. I had a few moments of glee just appreciating the difference. So much more of a luxury ride now. My recommendations: Don't hesitate. Make sure they install it (they make the part). Drive the car for a few months first so you can really enjoy the improvement. Don't lower the car if you want luxury. I had Tila's windows tinted and XPEL installed over the head lights and tail lights back in May and I finally have time to write them a well-deserved review! Max at UP was great and easy to work with (not sure if it's reciprocated haha). He and his team were very patient with my OCD and making sure everything was perfect! _what I got: Window tint: 3M Crystalline on ALL glass surfaces - windshield: 70% - barely noticeable - (4) side windows: 40% - rear in a SINGLE piece: 50% - overhead glass: 50% XPEL on headlights and tail lights only because I don't want them yellowing or getting clouded. However, I heard that the housings for these on new cars are of better materials that are more resistant to UV yellowing/clouding. The final product didn't have any bubbles, egregious creases, inconsistencies and the film reached beyond the frit edge. Max mentioned to me that typically the overhead glass is not included in the quote because customers usually don't request this as it already has a very sufficient factory tint which blocks 99.9% of UVs anyways. BUT, I am OCD and needed the glass transition from the rear to the overhead glass to be a consistent tint so I request that the overhead be tinted to match the rear. When it comes to the rear glass, request a quote for having it done in a single piece of film with no seams. They do great work here at UP and have great customer service, which means you do pay a premium. BUT you get what you pay for and I didn't want anything less for my Tila. See photos! read more

I recently bought a used 2014 MS P85 that had some cheap eBay lowering links installed without proper rear camber arms, which caused the alignment to be off and premature tire wear. I've been a long-time car enthusiast, so this didn't sit well with me, so I had to correct the issue. While digging through the Tesla forums and researching different aftermarket parts for a solution, Unplugged Performance consistently came up as a reputable company with quality parts. I decided to check them out even though the prices were slightly higher than other competitors, and I quickly learned that the engineering and material used in their parts were unmatched and was worth the extra bucks to get top grade parts for my car. I spoke with Ross, my sales rep, about the issues with my car and he recommended a solution with their lowering brackets, which are stronger, more secure, and better fitted compared to the adjustable lowering links, and he also recommended their rear camber arms, which are beefer and made from aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum, to fix the alignment issue. Since UP is authorized for Tesla service and body repair, I felt confident having them install the parts for me instead of going through a regular ICE shop who may not be familiar with Tesla vehicles. (TIP: UP's hourly labor rate is cheaper than Tesla, so save yourself some money by bringing your Tesla to UP for service and any body repair. They also have a variety of free snacks and drinks to munch on while you wait). During the service, we found that I needed to replace a driver side front control arm and get new suspension links, which Ross helped order through Tesla and the parts came readily fast. After all parts were installed (including some wheel spacers) and the alignment completed, I drove the car home and I instantly felt a HUGE improvement in ride quality and handling. I'm so happy with the results, especially the stance of my car! During my visits, I got to spend time chatting with some of UPs team members. Ross, Blake, Jonathon, James, and the rest of the crew at Unplugged Performance are awesome dudes who have a wealth of knowledge about Teslas and have one of the most stellar customer service I've come across. They really made me feel part of the UP family and that they always had my best interests at heart. I have a Model 3 RWD made in early 2022 before Tesla softened the suspension later in the year. Being used to Honda Accord and CR-V, the ride has been so firm to me, I could feel every little bump. Railroad crossings and curb ramps have been especially rough. Even my back would hurt after a long drive. So I decided to look into getting a new luxury coilover from Unplugged Performance. Unplugged Performance asks for full prepayment for parts and labor and that can make one anxious about how much difference it makes. Is this a good system? What if it doesn't feel any different? Taking a spin after installation, I could definitely tell the difference. Driving over the roughest ramps were not so jarring anymore. Their luxury coilover is adjustable, but I didn't need to change anything because it came out of the shop just the way I wanted it. Don't expect a float-on-the-cloud feel you'd get from a high-end Mercedes Benz, but you still get a lot more comfort than Tesla's stock coilover. No issues more than a month after the installation. I don't even think about the suspension nowadays. read more

Bought suspension and aero parts from them via their german dealer Atomic Shop. They tried to scam me out of my money multiple times by claiming product *i already paid for* went up in price before they shipped it. They also overcharged me 3x for the shipping. The spoiler was full of pinholes and scuffed clearcoat, including some edges that were completely naked. I had to paint those myself. I ended up waiting 9 months for all the parts to ship. They forgot to ship an emblem. Their front efficiency lip's fitment is a joke - it sags underneath because it's too wide and flappy. One of the shocks i ordered ended up being louder than the other two, and one knocks VERY audibly on every sharp bump - likely factory fault on the valves. Atomic tried to get rid of me by saying they "don't know what was done to the shocks since they were sold" even though i raised scuffs on them as an issue immediately after i received them. Unplugged, meanwhile, just ignores me and refuses to respond to my emails. Bad company with bad dealers and bad products. Avoid. read more

The main reason I went is because I have been chasing a low speed rattle in the suspension for 5 years! I had comfort orientated suspension enhancements to my Model 3. During initial slow speed testing going through dips, speed bumps, and train tracks, it was hard to feel a difference. I brought the vehicle in July 2019 thinking Elon and team had already built a vehicle that fulfilled my every need and desire. This attitude changed after taking the vehicle home. Driving at higher speeds on the freeway, the ride quality is noticeably smoother and relaxing. My sister and parents, still apprehensive about switching to EVs, stated the ride quality had improved too. Often it's difficult for me to convince them purchases I've made is money well spent, but the entire family is in concurrence on this once. The Model 3 (FloWithDaFrands) is now the first choice in which vehicle we ought to take on family trips. Before this, we'd take the Mazda CX-5 since there was more leg room for my elderly parents (69 & 64 y.o.) sitting in the back and a higher ride height. I'd only use FloWithDaFrands when I was by myself or with Tesla enthusiasts/close friends. James Hedland, customer experience director, put it succinctly, that we'd be comparing the ride feel to that of a Lexus. I believe this to be accurate despite only owning Toyotas and Hondas my entire life. Given my aunt works at a Lexus dealership in Thailand for 20+ years, I am excited to put this statement to the test. She should be visiting America once the Covid pandemic passes over and I'll update everyone on whether she's impressed. James was very attentive, knowledgeable in answering all of my questions prior to installation, and patient when it came to working with my schedule to schedule FloWithDaFrands' operation. With James leading Unplugged Performance (UP), it's safe to assume all current and future sales advisors will be well versed in answering and meeting the needs of future clientele. Elon Musk stated an aim in producing Teslas was to make a vehicle you could be proud of owning; not just a vessel to get you from point A to point B. The overall design and specifications of the Model 3 Long Range Dual Motor was the big reason I worked so hard to responsibly afford the car. I could not settle for a Hybrid Corolla or a Prius C, but after my last car needed costly repairs I was almost forced to. Luckily, it's not the reality we're living in. I'd been driving my Model 3 since July 2019, back and forth from North Los Angeles to South Orange County. It was already performing to my every expectation. UP's motto didn't make sense to me before because I believed Musk had perfected the vehicle, but I stand corrected. We can go "up" in performance with modifications from UP! I got an efficient aero package for my Model 3 LR from Unplugged Performance a couple of months ago. This is my daily driver and I'm seeing an actual difference in energy consumption - around 5% less - 240Wh/mi to around 225Wh/mi in the same route. Theoretically, my range has been increased from 310mi to 333mi! I'm currently building another Model 3 AWD for offroading and definitely will work with UP. Excellent service. I wanted to pick up some sway bars for my Tesla Model 3. Gave them a call in the morning to check if it was in stock. Drove down to their location in the early afternoon to go pick up my order. Some one helped me out as soon as I entered the door. I was offered to sit but I didn't want to sit, lounge around, or touch anything because of the whole COVID situation. Everyone one who walked past me asked me if I've been helped or needed help. Excellent product. Oh man where do I even start. Product was well packed, box was clean and rigid. Would have liked printed instructions but with this day and age it is just a waste of paper and totally understandable. I just scanned the QR code on the box with my Ipad and got the link to the installation instructions. I install all my own parts so I can really see and appreciate the quality and detail of the instructions. Wish I took pictures but the install process went so smoothly I just finished without thinking twice. Driving by the SpaceX booster and Hyperloop Pod Tube on the way there was pretty epic also. read more
