tl;dr I used to be a regular at Uno Dos when I worked on Stevenson, so maybe some of this is just nostalgia, but I think this restaurant deserves its flowers. Forgot to snap a photo of the unwrapped burrito, but added one of it wrapped for scale. Ambiance: My most recent visit was takeout for breakfast, so I don't feel fully entitled to give an accurate ambiance rating, but back in the day (pre-Covid), the post-work vibe was 5/5. I saw that they still offer blankets for you to use when sitting outside, which I always thought was thoughtful. Food (5/5): This rating is for their breakfast burritos, since I haven't had lunch there since I moved out of SF (but in the past, I LOVED the tinga and lengua). The base breakfast burrito with potato, egg, cheese, and salsa fresca starts at $5.75. Add-ons are +$1 each for bacon, chorizo, veggies, or avocado; +$0.75 for sour cream; and +$1.50 for guacamole. My burrito order adds on bacon, veggies, and avocado for a subtotal of $8.75, which, to me, is a great deal for how filling it is. I especially appreciate that the bacon is broken up into bits and mixed throughout the burrito, so you're not accidentally eating the whole strip when taking a bite. The veggies are also great, the inclusion of zucchini (or some other squash) is really, really nice. My mom ordered one with veggie and avocado that she ended up not eating, so I ended up eating the next day. It was still delicious after a 5 hr plane ride and reheated in the microwave. Don't forget the hot sauce but be aware that it is spicy (and not "spicy" lol). My spice tolerance isn't that high but it's also not non-existent. The cup that they provide is just enough for me! Service (5/5): Always quick and friendly, just as I remembered in the past. I first heard of Uno Dos Tacos through the Yelp event in February 2025. I really enjoyed their tacos and churro then and want to check out their restaurant. Before going to an Orpheum show, I decided to come here for early dinner with my friend. Driest tacos I've ever had. We ordered delivery from Uno Dos Tacos and I don't know if they just forgot to put/give us sauces for the tacos, but we didn't get any and so the asada and carnitas was utterly disappointing. Not even lime was provided! The pescado was a bit better, there was some sauce in there. I should've just ordered more of these. The tortillas were also dry and not the usual oily tortillas. Fits the theme of "healthy" downtown food. The best thing from this whole order was probably the chips and guac and salsa, which I had to put some in my tacos to enjoy. Financial district is always busy. If you are close by I highly recommend this spot! Easy ordering on their kiosks or you can speak to a person to order. Once you order and get your buzzer, you can find a table inside or outside. They provide blankets for those cold days right by the register too! So don't let the cold weather deter you. Uno Dos Tacos was a vendor at a recent work party. This was the highlight of the food offering, they were kind of BYOT, and I m really impressed with the flavoring and the bit of heat on them. I had about 2.5 and honestly, if no one was looking, I would have gladly eaten at least 5. These are the perfect "snack" size. Long overdue review for one of my favorite go-to spots! I come here about once a month, and it never disappoints. The carne asada burrito is my usual order--it's a fantastic deal for the price. I've also tried the taco happy hour deal (3 tacos), which is a solid option for the price, but I keep coming back to the burrito. Sometimes I'll add chips and guac--fresh and tasty every time. They also have a happy hour margarita deal that's pretty decent. Not super strong, but it's refreshing and pairs well with the food. The location is super convenient--right by the Montgomery BART station--and there's plenty of seating both inside and out.
