Everything is clean and intriguing. At the storefront are various retro and antique items, and in the back of the shop is a small boutique area to pursue. There is also a large collection of well maintained vinyl records towards the center of the shop. The rest of the store walls are lined with a couple dozen pinball machines. There are all sorts of themed machines from 007, to Jaws, to D&D, etc. You can get quarters for play from the front desk/check out desk. The pinball manchjnes range from $0.50 to $1.00 to play There was one person working when we were there, and I belief they were talking to another patron, but I don't get any sort of greeting or "how can I help," but I also didn't get the vibe that they were particularly unfriendly Some tips: If you think you're a pinball wizard, check out their Facebook page because they host tournaments monthly. This store specializes in militaria and historical items more than anything else. This ain't one of those antique shops with endless glass containers, furniture, and stuff that would have been in the Goodwill ten years ago. In a lot of those places, you need to look around a bit to find the "good stuff." By contrast, History by George is ALL "the good stuff." He has military medals, gas masks, books, jewelry, coins, and a whole lot of stuff you often never see anywhere else. When I was last there, he had an French armor vest from the 1820s prominently displayed. In the mood to buy a Nazi SS dagger? I'm not a collector of such things, but I know some people are. He has ten in the case. That's right--TEN. You get to pick what type. It's crazy. Military stuff from all over the world is on sale here, from the famous to the infamous, to the "I've never heard of that country before. . ." On your first visit, I suggest that you give the entire store the once-over first--that way you won't be fixated on the first six things you see when you walk in the door. The store is clean and put together nicely. I'm not a military historian type or even an antique dude but George had a little bit of all that. Stamps, coins, Native American, guns and knives. I didn't have a chance to talk to George but he did acknowledge me as I walked out. Last words... George is patient!
