He was super nice and very knowledgeable about his stuff! I really enjoyed talking to him about his passion for selling and collecting records! It's a quaint little place and there's so much to look at. But everything is organized well with a wide variety of genres. The prices seemed pretty fair, with older/more worn records being as low as $10. It all depends on the artist, whether they're trending or not, etc. Maybe if you're claustrophobic this isn't the place for you, but I really liked it because it was smaller and not as overwhelming. You can just walk in, chill, and relax while browsing through records. I also appreciate the owner giving me this one record album I really liked as a thank you for the interview. That was really sweet, so thank you! My uncle lives just down the street from this place and he has been collecting records since he was a little kid. He's bought and traded stuff here before, but it's been awhile so we will both be back here soon.

Nice set up but somewhat confusing layout. I did manage to go through every aisle without doubling back or needing the little floor map they have available by the entrance. Lots of nice items, good displays and a few that were a challenge to access. Prices competitive. I would say the individual vendors rent a space they want to pay for and display their items. A few have things I haven't typically found at other antique stores. Staff welcome when you walk in. Not busy at all when I was here. Looking for something unique? Feel like a trip down memory lane? The vibe is very retro and appealing. It would be easy to have an antique shop that is just a cluster of old and dirty items strewn about, but this isn't the case at Atomic Age Modern. Everything is clean and intriguing. At the storefront are various retro and antique items, and in the back of the shop is a small boutique area to pursue. There is also a large collection of well maintained vinyl records towards the center of the shop. The rest of the store walls are lined with a couple dozen pinball machines. There are all sorts of themed machines from 007, to Jaws, to D&D, etc. You can get quarters for play from the front desk/check out desk. The pinball manchjnes range from $0.50 to $1.00 to play There was one person working when we were there, and I belief they were talking to another patron, but I don't get any sort of greeting or "how can I help," but I also didn't get the vibe that they were particularly unfriendly Some tips: If you think you're a pinball wizard, check out their Facebook page because they host tournaments monthly. This market offers so many fun finds, primarily vintage pieces, but also some newer handcrafted goods and even some local food offerings. There is no "up and down." This place is a labyrinth designed by someone who said, "What if we hid Narnia behind every dresser?" I got lost at least three times. Possibly four. Hidden alcove. Side quest unlocked. So much stuff. Trinkets. Bobbles. Whatnots, galore. Things your grandma had. Things your grandma refused to have. I went in looking for one very specific item. I did not find it. I did, however, find three existential moments and mild spatial disorientation. Did I have a good time? Yes. Did I leave with what I needed? No. Did I briefly consider dropping breadcrumbs to find my way out? Also yes. We've been to this store several times over the past couple of years & every time I'm lucky enough to find something amazing yet half the time my choice is in the locked cabinet..... lol! This store is extremely large so you can definitely be there for a few hours because they have everything that you can imagine! The store is also well spaced out for as big as it is & it's not cluttered like some antique stores can be! On this last visit I completely lucked out because I've been eyeing a figurine in a glass case & it was still there! Well once they took it out & put it in my hands I knew I wanted it.... a Giuseppe Armani figurine so delicately made, I fell in love & the price.... Could not beat! Then on another visit in another locked glass case there she sat.... This gorgeous Sweden " Strombergshyttan " crystal vase of a girl holding a bird cage, underneath the vase is signed & numbered. Yes I basically walked away with a steal, my husband had to tell me to stop smiling! I just love this store, there's such a large selection to choose from for all tastes out there! Mind you it's not in that fancy zip code but do not let that discourage you because sometimes when you drive out of those zip codes that's where's there'll be some extra treasures lingering around!

Whatever you collect, they've got it! I was taken aback by how brilliantly the place is set up. You don't have to dig through anything, all the tags are clear about what you're looking at and how much it is. The folks that work there are so helpful and knowledgeable about everything on the floor and I can only assume that the lovely owner is usually on hand for deep-dive inquires. I am more unstable carrying a 40-pound dog, so I might break something just carrying her. She owns a public store, and I did not want to argue with her. I was so upset, Emma just kept circling me and leaning against me to tell me it was okay. She never asked what my job was to her. It was her policy for all animals to be carried, and she didn't care what I thought or what the law said. Sad.
