Vinyl Record Dude is a must visit for anyone who loves music and great sound! The shop is packed with vinyl, band tees, posters, and other music related gems. Friendly staff and awesome tunes make it a fun stop every time! The Dude gives you the best music store experience you could ask for! I love this store!!!

This place is small but mighty!!! We are on vacation and thought heck let's stop at a local place. We were thrown by the location- with it being in a more industrial type area. We walked in and were welcomed. They said if we needed any help just to ask. It's small but they have a great selection and I mean great!!! They have some used, a ton of new and a ton still from record store day! I found the snoop dog from record store day. My daughter found the Black Friday Olivia Rodrigo. This place is a gem! I hope you show him some love Az! Because he's great. Prices are all reasonable and I love how it's organized. Thanks Vinyl Dude!

You have got to stop into their new location at 7223 E. Shea Blvd. IT IS AMAZING! This new retail space houses thousands and thousands of records, posters, t-shirts, one-of-a-kinds, turntables, vintage electronics, speakers, posters, buttons, stickers and music-related collectibles, not to mention SIGNED GUITARS from some very famous musicians! They even have a high-end audio room coming soon! If you can't find what you're looking for, Nick, Elvis or Sean will find it for you. Do you have records, CDs or stereo equipment just taking up space? Give them a call, they'll give you a fair and honest price. They have some amazing new staff additions. Stop in and say hello to them! (Ask them about their other services like cleaning and flattening records.) They are always paying cash for your old and new records. Give them a call for more information or to schedule an appointment (480) 626-2436.

I am so glad I found this record store. I went in looking for a box to safely ship my son's valuable LP collection across country. I came out with a renewed sense of community. This is a tiny record store with a huge warehouse and online presence, to go with their huge hearts. When inquiring about the best way to pack LP's, employee Elvis took me in the warehouse and showed me exactly how they carefully wrap and pack stacks of records for shipment all over the world. He then offered to wrap and pack my son's collection for a nominal fee so that I could ship them myself without buying all the supplies. They didn't have to do that for me, it was purely a community service and has renewed my faith in the value added by patronizing a small business over a chain store (which would NEVER have even offered). Smartly decorated and well organized, this little store is tucked away just south of Redfield Road in the Scottsdale Airpark. A hidden gem indeed. They have been buying and selling vinyl online for over 20 years. Only in the last 2 years have they opened a physical store, and I'm thrilled they are doing well. I will be back!

Sweet little spot! Tim was incredibly helpful! The floor is sized for about an hour dig sesh. The selection was pretty diverse and a good mix of new and old. The prices were pretty on the mark and everything was in clean condition. If you're on the hunt for something specific--they have a HUGE back inventory to look in for you. Just ask

Great little place to grab some vinyl. It's a bit tight, but they manage to have a great and relevant selection. Nice to know it's there.

Ask the Community - Vinyl Record Dude

Do you have any "crafting" albums (cheap albums that may be scratched) for making into craft projects?

Yes we do. We have quite a bit of it if you want to stop by.

I have a bunch or records and albums from the 1960's including "Meet the Beatle's", and the "Beatle's Butcher Block" albums. I am interesting in selling the entire lot (maybe around 50 total). Are you interested in looking at them?

Yes. When would you like to come by? We have a pretty open schedule today and we are open tomorrow afternoon. You can call us if you would like at 480-626-2436

I have 200+ record albums to unload. All in jacket and in good shape. From the 60s to 80s. Are you interested and can you come to Surprise?

Yes we are interested. You are welcome to bring them to our store at 7223 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale AZ 85260

I have a Riaa award for queen on the albums going platinum sale presented to hitmakers is this something you guys would purchase and if not can u point me in the direction of a shop that will?

Thanks for reaching out. You are welcome to bring it by next week and we can take a look at it. It would be impossible to give you much information without physically seeing it.

My parents have a lot of records from the 70's. The covers aren't in the best shape but the records are still good. Do the covers have to be pristine?

Thanks for reaching out. They do not have to be pristine but wear on the covers will impact the value. If it is a common record or something not as desirable then it may have little to no value. If they have mold in the jackets or the jackets have… Read more

I have over 100 vinyl records that are in very good condition that I want to sell. It is an eclectic mix of rock and other genres. Does this shop buy used vinyl?

The In Groove -- A Place That Respects the Music…read more There are record stores, and then there are places that understand what this hobby is really about. The In Groove is the latter. From the moment you walk in, there's a sense of order and intention. The space is clean, organized, and easy to navigate--something that might seem simple on the surface, but in reality reflects a deeper respect for both the music and the people searching for it. You're not digging through chaos. You're exploring a collection that feels cared for. As you move through the bins, that feeling continues. The records aren't just stocked--they're curated. There's a quiet confidence in knowing that what you're flipping through has been chosen, not just accumulated. For someone who values condition, pressings, and the integrity of the music, that matters. It turns browsing into something more deliberate, more enjoyable, and ultimately more rewarding. Along one wall sits a collection of vintage audio gear--amplifiers, receivers, pieces of history that remind you this hobby doesn't end with the record itself. It's about the entire chain--the system, the room, the experience. Seeing those components in that setting connects everything together. Music isn't just something you own. It's something you build around. What stands out most is how easy it is to slow down here. There's no pressure, no rush--just the quiet rhythm of discovery. You find yourself taking your time, paying attention, and reconnecting with why you got into this in the first place. The In Groove isn't just a place to buy records. It's a place that respects the process of listening. And that makes all the difference

Everyone I interacted with was nice (trade counter & cashier I dealt with). Missing star is because one of the cashiers let some other lady cut in front of the line of people. I should have been next. I believe she didn't see that there was a line. The cashier should have sent her to the back of the line instead of ringing her up. The two other ladies she was with walked to the back of the line. Either way, it's a comfort to have my own movie library. Zia Records recently helped me expand my collection. The store is overflowing with racks, stacks, bins and bookcases of movies, books, games, records, CDs and more. It's a little overwhelming, but I found almost everything I wanted. And I signed up for the free loyalty program when I checked out. The cashier didn't clearly explain how you accumulate rewards, but I'm willing to trust the process. The big thing is they said they don't sell your info to third parties; I did ask before agreeing to participate. As for value, I spent $15 on two pre-owned BluRay movies. I was satisfied with the prices. It was less expensive than an online site. The only reason this isn't a five-star review is because I think the store could be better organized. The sale bins aren't alphabetized, so searching for something specific would be very time consuming. The movies on the shelves are alphabetized, but some were in the wrong sections. I love the concept of this secondhand store. It's so good for consumers and the environment to repurpose and recycle. I recommend a visit and I know I'll be back. Thanks, Zia.
