You can find many for under $10, and several $10-20 range (where other shops you can't even touch anything vintage for that), so very fair pricing and that's what makes them stand out. I also really like their vintage 45 record section which is organized nicely and alphabetized, makes it easy to search (not a pile of random ragged discs in a box on the floor like other shops). I cannot express how PHENOMENAL this place is. I had a very bad experience where a male customer was bothering me and making me very uncomfortable to the point I was shaking. I took 300 records in from basically the 60-70 and early 80's a lot of classics from the era and some more one off. they had been played so were well used and a lot were not salable. however alot of the covers were classics and very salable and the record assessor was knowledgeable and explained how they would swap covers and records out, sell on the internet etc and that was fine with me. I felt I got low balled for what was there however was moving so took his offer of $80. Just as an FYI I would consider trying someplace like Stinkweeds first. just to get a second bid read more

I am so glad I found this record store. I went in looking for a box to safely ship my son's valuable LP collection across country. I came out with a renewed sense of community. This is a tiny record store with a huge warehouse and online presence, to go with their huge hearts. When inquiring about the best way to pack LP's, employee Elvis took me in the warehouse and showed me exactly how they carefully wrap and pack stacks of records for shipment all over the world. He then offered to wrap and pack my son's collection for a nominal fee so that I could ship them myself without buying all the supplies. They didn't have to do that for me, it was purely a community service and has renewed my faith in the value added by patronizing a small business over a chain store (which would NEVER have even offered). Smartly decorated and well organized, this little store is tucked away just south of Redfield Road in the Scottsdale Airpark. A hidden gem indeed. They have been buying and selling vinyl online for over 20 years. Only in the last 2 years have they opened a physical store, and I'm thrilled they are doing well. I will be back! read more

out of all the record stores in the valley this by far will low ball you the hardest even harder than Zia records . I must start by saying the worker at the front was a total jerk from the start advising me that they pay between 6 and 7 dollars a record which is there cost which is a total lie no one is getting brand new records at that price. i had 11 sealed records as I used to have my record store. I wasn't looking to get rich off of these records but they were all good sellers mostly pop and rock records. There was a couple of Taylor swifts aerosmiths greatest etc. He then advised he had to go speak w the boss in the back about it and came back and said we can offer you 50 dollars I laughed and said no thank you and took them to the next record store which gave me 110 dollars for them. I will say it appeared that they did have good inventory and decently priced records from what I saw average price was between 25 and 30 dollars a record which is about average but then again if they are getting records at 6 to 7 dollars do they really need to make 400% profit per record I'll let you decide that. read more

This place is AMAZING! I called ahead looking for an ABBA gold greatest hits record, and this was the first place I found after calling roughly 8 other shops. The guy on the phone was incredibly sweet and clearly loved his job, of which he definitely knew a lot about. He was very eager to put the album aside for me, and I got lucky because it was the last one in stock! Later that afternoon I went to pick it up, and the guy there was very, very sweet and I was able to purchase it within seconds of telling him my name for the hold. He talked with me for a while about the other vinyls in the shop, and even though it was exactly closing time when I arrived he seemed more than happy to stay and help us. Had never been to Vinyl Record Dude. I planned to meet an old friend there but got there early and started browsing the Jazz selection. Michael was working and greeted me with friendliness and jazz knowledge that for his age shocked me. His boss needs to give him a raise! He recommended three jazz LPs I wasn't familiar with and they are all in superb condition, excellent sonically and performance wise. When my friend arrived I plucked some of my favorites from the rock and roll section we combed through. What a mistake I made selling my collection of 1500 LPs. When my sister recently gave me back my first Thorens TT I decided to start collecting again. I will be here often. If you own LPs, don't be an idiot like me and sell them. If you're looking to build a collection, start here, especially if you live in the area. If you're visiting, be sure to make a trip to the store. The Front of the store is on the small side but it is loaded with high quality vinyl. I walked out with 12 records just from looking. But the beauty of Vinyl Record Dude is that they are a Ebay powerhouse. Behind the storefront is a warehouse 200,000 vinyls strong. Sean was more than great. I gave him 2 titles of albums I was looking for and he had them in the back and took them out of the "ebay" stock. No shipping charges. He even gave me a tour of the facility.
