There is no "up and down." This place is a labyrinth designed by someone who said, "What if we hid Narnia behind every dresser?" I got lost at least three times. Possibly four. At one point I genuinely forgot: What I came for, which direction I entered... who I am as a person. Every time I thought I found the "main path," I'd turn a corner and BAM! secret pocket room. Hidden alcove. Side quest unlocked. Now, to be fair, if you are someone who enjoys treasure hunting, rummaging, discovering trinkets you didn't know you needed, and time traveling, this is your Disneyland. There is stuff. So much stuff. Trinkets. Bobbles. Whatnots, galore. Things your grandma had. Things your grandma refused to have. I went in looking for one very specific item. I did not find it. I did, however, find three existential moments and mild spatial disorientation. Did I have a good time? Yes. Did I leave with what I needed? No. Did I briefly consider dropping breadcrumbs to find my way out? Also yes. On this last visit I completely lucked out because I've been eyeing a figurine in a glass case & it was still there! Then on another visit in another locked glass case there she sat.... This gorgeous Sweden " Strombergshyttan " crystal vase of a girl holding a bird cage, underneath the vase is signed & numbered. Yes I basically walked away with a steal, my husband had to tell me to stop smiling! I just love this store, there's such a large selection to choose from for all tastes out there! From the moment I walked up to the front door- I was shocked to see that, that many people could have been waiting in line for hours and that the store would have enough merchandise to accommodate ALL those customers?! That said, I found the shop inside decorated in that retro style very suitable & quaint, but also only about 8 racks spread out openly throughout the store. The prices in my opinion were ridiculously high except for the $10 clearance rack by the front entrance. Even at that, many shirts I found stained, logos cracking/fading, with holes, or paint marks and overall just not in great condition for the cost! Additionally, they do have some pants, jackets and hoodies as well. Employees never welcomed us in. Too busy eating sandwiches. Find it very unprofessional to eat your food on the floor and at the registers counter to boot! They buy daily for vintage. You'll receive cash or credit. Generally, you will get more in store credit than in cash. Currently, they're accepting winter items and are being very "picky" ( as the two employees told me) about t-shirts. Odd since that's mainly what they carry & with that Tik Tok craze you'd think they would have needed a heck of a lot more merchandise unless it didn't fair well? Yet, again it's a small space with not a lot to offer, so wondering if they have things in storage and they rotate often or seasonally? Doubtful this will be a place I'd return. Volunteers run this thrift shop and they carry all sorts of things like antiques, clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, houseware, and children's toys. I did find a couple of cool items- a vintage doctor scale for $85, and a radio, tape, CD and record player for $55. I just didn't find anything that appealed to me but I would definitely donate here rather than Goodwill as they help the community with the proceeds.
