They had a deal going on so a ton of stuff was on sale and I got a fantastic deal on the gift I ended up deciding on (a really cool glass cup and saucer set from the '50s!). This is a great antique shop located in DT Mesa. It use to be much larger, but they downsized over the last year. It's still a great space that they really cram full with all sorts of finds from furniture, clothing, trinkets, and everything in between. I feel the one thing they don't have a ton of is probably clothing, but that may rotate. You could easily spend a few hours looking at everything and still miss things. I also feel everything is super reasonably priced and makes it easy to leave with something in hand. The service is friendly and they have one counter to check out in the front. They don't have public bathrooms, so I suppose something to be aware of. Great little plaza and great thrift spot to add into the rotation. read more

Nice little antique store. Very small overall and some wildly unique items including a matchbooks collection, Crochets, and Asian antiques. Not much diversity but pleasant staff and easy to get to. Nice decent size antique mall. Various sellers with various old items set up in old downtown Mesa. Nice area to visit and eat. If you are interested in old records, clothing, books, toys, dolls, electronics, furniture, ect. then this is the cool place to visit. I've read over some of the review's and they are trash reviews as someone is making accounts just to leave bad reviews. But lets go on to my review I've been coming back to this store for years now and while my taste is a little odd there are things I do like to buy but it has to work in our house. I had a cousin who's home was a hurricane of well everything from thrift stores and flea markets, some of it was clearly failed taxidermy that would give children night terrors that would require years of therapy to iron out. I found some really cool stuff that would make my HOA go to war with me and if I had the money I'd do it just for fun. You could spend hours in this shop and still find something interesting. Packed with treasures, Cool place to look around with lots of interesting trinkets, and quirky furniture. I saw some vintage vinyl records, neon signs and movie posters. Not as impressive as the ones that I've seen in Europe or the East Coast, but this business is worth checking out. It's near the light rail, but bring your car if you plan on buying something big. Sometimes they have some mid-century modern furniture. If you like Antique Malls, then this is a really fun one to visit. I think it's mostly because it feels like you are exploring an old house with all sorts of secret rooms! There's the main level and another level downstairs with even MORE stuff. I think I saw two additional sets of stairs aside from the main steps near the front. It's a BIG place! I found STUFF for great prices - which can be rare at an Antique Mall! Usually, most Vendors have stuff overpriced, but I was very pleased with my findings...just need to look, you never know what you might find. There were employees randomly walking around if you needed help or to bring your items to the front check-out. Friendly service too. I will be visiting here again for sure! read more

This place is a ton of fun. With 2 levels of booths, I've spent hours browsing though all of the stuff. We come here every once in a while to see what's new in the booths. On my most recent visit a booth was selling some old arcade games....wanted to buy one, but the Wifey wouldn't allow it. Great place to shop for anything old or unique. We loved the open and easily accessible aisles packed with tons of items. Books, records, clothes, etc. Two levels and way too much to list! Really all the standard antique fare with a particularly quirky way to purchase items. They will happily hold your items for you at the counter while you shop and give you a face card from a deck of cards as your receipt. Kinda cute. I found some mid-century modern furniture for very low prices. If they had the same price in downtown Phoenix it would be triple. Kind of interesting how the geography plays into the pricing. So, if you are on the modern twist to mid-century modern furniture train like I am, I suggest you take a walk through this store making it a point to look in the back rooms where the furniture might be hiding. read more

One of the largest antique malls I have been to, but definitely not the greatest. I always find that antique malls are great to come to because you will find things you never knew you wanted. There are two stories to this mall and a hidden room that is fun to go into and possibly haunted?? The reason for the three stars is this: items are very dusty and at times, dirty and stained (I think they could swiffer a little if they are putting things up for sale no?), I saw a lot of items that were recent products but were trying to be passed off as antiques with the price to boot. They have a LOT of old toys, star trek memorabilia, and costume jewelry. It is worth a stop but you can find a nicer and cleaner selection at Merchant Square in Chandler. read more

I was down in Mesa, AZ for work and got out of a workshop early. So I decided to stroll down to downtown Mesa before all the shops closed for the day. BTW why does everything close by 5pm in this town?!? I came upon Antique Plaza right when I was about to turn back to my hotel. Which I'm so glad I did. Antique Plaza is a two-story antique shop filled with everything you can imagine from the past century. I enjoyed being able to walk through and admire all the things from each stall. This place is so big I feel like you would need a good couple of hours if you really want to take in the experience and appreciate all the nostalgia it emits. read more

Like a lot of other reviews, my 2 star review is not based on the store itself but it's employees. I picked up a couple clothing items and a purse and was walking around when an employee came up and asked if I wanted her to take them to the front. I politely declined as I wanted to try the items on and asked if they had a dressing room. She told me they had a bathroom I could use so I held onto them. Then about 10 mins later a different employee came up and asked the same thing. Still, not a big deal. The problem starts when I asked the first employee if I could get access to the bathroom. She rudely replied and said "we don't give the code out. I'll have someone let you in." So as I was waiting by the front, she sat down in a chair in front of me and started watching the security cameras as if to intimidate me? I tried my clothes on and then set the purse down in the back because I didn't want it anymore. I walked back up to pay for my sweatshirt, handed her the clothing I didn't want. Before anything else she says "well where's the purse?" Told her I set it down in the back. Then she says "what about that jacket you have on? Is that ours?" ......I said "it's mine" I should've said something but just wanted to get out of there ASAP. Like girl if you're watching the security camera footage that much you should know I walked in with it and had it on the entire time. Came across this shop while I was taking a walk with my family. The actual store is pretty cool I felt like I could spend all day there, but, my visit was cut short by the racist owner and cashier who stopped me in the middle of my visit and followed me around because they must of thought I was a thief, simply because of the color of my skin. And I'm not one to ever complain or come across these sort of things but I tried to be nice and quickly pay for the stuff that I planned on purchasing and then I caught a glimpse of the swastika tattoo on the cashiers arm and I told him to forget about my purchase and walked out.Never in my life...what a sad world. read more

I've been looking for antique china cabinets, side boards and bookshelves for my front room; and I have a general idea of the look I'm going for. This is the first genuine antique store I have been too and...wow! this place is huge! The main store has a full basement underneath the first floor and both are filled wall to wall with 100s of displays. There is also an annex to the west of the main store which has an over flow of items. Both of the buildings are run down. The main store reminds me of a large dance hall, it has a big, open staircase leading down to the basement just to the left of the front door. From the basement there are two staircases going back up to the first floor, one on the east side and the other on the west side of the building. Both buildings were well light and the pathways (I say pathways, not aisles for a reason) were clean and easy to walk through. Along with my friend, I brought my two puppies and they had no problem letting me walk around with my animals - animal friendly is always a plus!! Both stores were a bit disorganized and my OCD sensors were on overdrive, but I think most of the merchandise is still owed by individuals...so all their stuff is in the same booth area. I'm sure Antique Plaza gets a percentage of the sales. Oh and I would like to mention that Antique Plaza was like the only store open on Labor Day (which was when I visited the stores). Walking through the different booths and looking at some of the pieces brought back memories of my childhood, events, good times and at times I had moments of awe for some unique beauties that were displayed. I didn't find what I was looking for, but I had a really fun time exploring what some call treasures and some call junk...check it out if you are in the neighborhood, who knows? Simply one of the best antique malls I've visited. It is a MASSIVE 2-story shop and has a little bit of everything. There is a lot of junk but also a ton of treasures so don't be afraid to do some digging. The staff aren't experts in the field so you don't have to worry about getting bent over on prices (this also means that they aren't extremely knowledgeable though either, so you'll be on your own). Very small but fully packed with so many trinkets, jewelry, old records, posters, some art work. The woman who owned the shop was kind of quiet and didn't engage much but that was OK. You really have to do a lot of hunting to find some gems. Saw some old typewriters which was pretty cool stuff. Mesa is really a nice town to see lots of stores like this. The store had a basement probably chock full of goodies but we didn't get to see that. All and all a good place to spend some time meandering around the shop read more

Your grandparents retired to Leisure World and now all their stuff is on sale at the Antique Plaza. At least that what it feels like when you walk in here. The store is separated into vendor stalls so the selection changes wildly at every turn, from a 1920's roll-top desk, to a 1940's milk glass collection, to a 1970's Star Trek board game. Guess which one of those three I want for Christmas. Note, don't be afraid to ask if you think something is overpriced. read more

I am giving a 2 star, not because of the mall, the mall was great. A lot of stuff to look at a great prices. But the staff was rude and not helpful at all. There was a young guy walking around with a name tag so I knew he worked there, and followed me like I was going to rip the place off. I am a 5'2 135 pound 54 year old woman, come on! I had several large items in my hands to purchase and he never once offered to take them up front for me. And if you have ever been there you would know how large this place is. So I took them up front myself, while he continued to talk with another staff person, who also did not offer assistance. I went to the cashier to purchase my items, and realised she must be having a bad day, and blamed me for it. Her initials are....KE. Shes a heavy set blonde woman. She questioned my every purchase, like " what are you going to do with this"? Really, what does she care. She continued to belittle the dealers saying they are selling thrift store items and not antiques, and that makes it bad for the " Real" dealers. She was so angry she started to wrap up some other persons items and put them in my bag. I am glad I am an honest person or some innocent would have been upset their purchase was missing, and I would be called a thief, and the cashier would look like the good one. I would like to go back because I seen some awesome items, but I will not because of the staff. So Dealers, if your not selling, its not you, its them. Merchant Square here I come!!!! Instead, I was greeted with, "we are closing, you have 3 minutes" and scoff with an eye roll. Are you operating a business or is this a hobby? My go-to zen place. If you want to know where time goes to die, well, it's here. It's huge and there are so many fun nooks and crannies. I appreciate that it is a true antique mall, as opposed to other places that are a showpiece for crafts (ahem Merchant Square ahem). Antique Malls are known for their warm and fuzzy customer service, but this place often has popcorn, cake, and lemonade for their customers. I felt like time stopped, as I walked around from corner to corner, top to bottom (2 stories), admiring all the antiques and treasures. Definitely the largest antique mall I've come across so far, but it's so cluttered and honestly some of that stuff doesn't look worth selling. I love this place. They have booths and booths filled to the brim with old jewelry, discarded photos, memorabilia of all kinds, china, dolls, books, paintings, etc. It's a bit difficult to get people who aren't also interested in antiques and collectibles and vintage to stay long enough to experience the whole place, as it is huge. I've purchased handfuls of brooches from the 50s-60s with original enamel and jewels for less than five bucks a pop. I'm always getting ideas from old beer coasters and portraits. read more

This is probably one of my favorite Antique stores. I'm not one for expensive or overly priced used items, so it's hard to find a new Antique store with cool items at good prices, but since this store is so big (two floors and third "side" room), it has such a large variety of venders that absolutely anyone can find something they like. I've bought something every time I've come here, including beer glasses and mugs, pocket watches, clocks, mirrors and some paintings too. But honestly, they have everything under the sun.
