I had my floors done by another company who did great work, but they ignored two cosmetic repairs…read morethat we had gone over and then nothing but radio silence for weeks. So I found these folks just a few miles away from where I live. They were attentive, came over in a moments notice to give me a quote and were very communicative. The worker came over, saw the cosmetic issues (small board replacement in master bedroom floor, circular plug hole in kitchen floor and scratch/scuff marks in another bedroom). A few days later, FFbM texted me to go over the deets, it would be either $500 or $600 depending on what process I wished to happen, so I chose the easiest option which was the cheapest. (I should note the flooring guy who came to the house, also quoted that price to me). Last week I stopped by their storefront to pay a 50% deposit and schedule the appt for Tues, Feb 14. She told me mornings were best for everyone and I asked if we could do it later and she said no, 830am was the best time so I said yes. 830 came and went, as did 930 and 1030am. No call, no message, no texts. Nothing. I called the number, they were closed on Tuesdays. 1130am, I get a knock on the door by the same worker who quoted me. I complained that she (the owner) told me 830am and it's 3 hrs later and I have things to do on the outside world. He said he was on another job and was unapologetic. Then showed me the work order and underneath the timed appt, it said "show up anytime". Um no. I re-showed him the scuff marks and scratches as well as the plug hole and board replacement and he said it would cost double that. I showed him the text and reminded him that he saw it all weeks prior and gave me the same quote for everything. He denied it. "She said you just needed a board repair in the bedroom." Um no. I know what I need done and I specifically told her in person and in our text communications. I asked how much for fixing just the hole/board and he said $500 all in. I complained b/c I know even with raw materials/covid and a profit margin and labor included that it was too steep to justify. I told him I would contest the other $250 or put a stop on the initial credit card payment. He said he's merely an hourly worker and has nothing to do with the day-to-day procedures at the shop and if I dont pay the $250 for the work, then it would come out of his pocket. Seems rather punitive, the woe is me line. So I refused service and told him I wasnt mad at him per se, just his boss and misinformation. He left. 10 minutes later, he knocked on my door and said his boss told him to give me my money back, which he did, in cash. So that's nice. FFbM doesnt have a ton of reviews on the internet, but a few are negative and sounds like what I went through, including one user calling it a "bait and switch" which is how I would characterize my situation.

Within two weeks of signing the agreement, everything was done. The paint job his team gave the house makes the inside look brand new. It's phenomenal and the painters were quick and clean. We had a bathtub retiled and ceiling fans installed, all quickly and painlessly. The subs he knows are all great...tile work, electrical....you name it, he has great contacts who adhere to a high level of quality. Tom also has a keen eye for design and when we told him what we were looking for in terms of paint colors, he had great recommendations that turned out beautifully. I don't use price as my final determination. I also checked his reviews and they were all excellent. Shane came over my house to give me an estimate and show me some carpet samples. He was very professional and polite. I chose my carpet, put down a deposit and Shane told me when he expected the carpet to come in. He did advise me that there might be a delay due to supply chain issues. While waiting for the carpet, Shane was easy to get a hold of and he was very communicative. The carpet came in when he thought it would and we scheduled the install. When Shane arrived to install the carpet he was very careful and meticulous. He put down clean gripping drop cloths wherever it was necessary while he worked. He made sure that his tools and carpet weren't in the way of foot traffic. Shane is a hard worker and you can see the pride he takes in his work. He completely moved our bedroom furniture, removed the old carpet and pad and installed the new carpet, and replaced our bedroom furniture, in one bedroom, in one day. He not only installed the new carpet but he fixed a squeak we had in the floors of both bedrooms. Shane made sure we were happy with the furniture placement and was very careful moving it. The next day, Shane removed the furniture, removed the old carpet, installed the new carpet and replaced the furniture in our smaller bedroom/office, in a half a day. The products Shane uses are top of the line, unlike Home Depot and he goes above and beyond when installing the carpet. Shane is professional and trustworthy and does incredible work, you won't be disappointed.

I him I need a solution and a quote to fix the flooring in my house. It was like he didn't want to be here. He said he couldn't fix my issues. I then said well can we put together a quote to repair or replace he said no because he didn't do the job. So he knew what the issues were, but couldn't be bothered to do a quote.
