While we had no issues during the process, shortly after the floor was sinking in multiple places. The contractor returned and placed a saddle in one area. Saddles were included in my contract (two separate contracts one for materials and one for labor), so we had paid for both even though they initially didn't use saddles. There was no refund given for the unused materials and work that was never done. They returned again to "lift" the kitchen subfloor. At this point they had to remove the new LVP, so they used our warranty to replace the flooring. The floor continues to sink in multiple areas. They suggested placing multiple saddles throughout my floor. They claimed the floor manufacturer said I needed them, so I don't know why I wasn't told or why it wasn't done during the initial installation. I asked when they open the floor and see the subfloor is unlevel would they do the honorable thing and return my money to me so I can have my floor repaired. I was told the subfloor is level and we are no longer discussing it. They hold no accountability. On top of all of this, they have photos of my home including personal information of where we live, personal details of our family and refuse to take it down. What customer ever wants this!? They have now blocked me on social media, and fail to communicate responsibly. All I would like is the money returned to me for the flooring that is now garbage because they have to take it apart to level underneath, the money paid to do the work that wasn't done correctly, reimbursement for what was paid out but never used. This is a major inconvenience to have to go through construction again. This has been dragged out too long, own up to your mistakes and Do the right thing. be warned and stay far away from this company.

My wife & I love our home, but the shower in our master bathroom was looking dingy... particularly,…read morethe grout between the tiles. Me being a typical guy, I tended to overlook it. But it drove my wife crazy, and the more I looked at it, she was right... The grout was no longer white, but kind of gray & discolored.... it just looked bad. And also, when we moved in, the people before us had just applied caulk between the tub and the tile wall, and it was all yucky and discolored (and probably a bit moldy). So we decided we needed to regrout. I was considering doing it myself until I did some research... this sounded like a time-consuming, tedious job... removing the old grout, applying the new grout after mixing it, washing the tile, waiting for it to dry.... I'm not much of a do-it-yourselfer to begin with, so the lazy sombitch in me decided to see if I could find anyone who would render this service for a reasonable price. I called a few people, and some places (particularly Amore) were kind of douchy on the phone about re-grouting. So I called Mignone, and they were able to give me a ballpark estimate. He had someone come out in a week or so, and man, for just $175, they did an incredible job. It's unbelievable how new the shower looks now.... fresh, gleaming white grout between the tiles. The man got the job done in less than 4 hours, and in just over a day, it was dry and ready for use. So, if you are considering a little home improvement in this type of area, definitely give these guys a call. I do feel somewhat guilty not being a do-it-yourself guy, but then again, it felt good supporting a good, reputable local business. So, if you need anything work done with your bathroom tile, give these guys a call. Well, I take that back. If you're trying to install a secret camera behind one of the tiles so you can see your co-ed roommate take a shower, don't call these guys. You're a real sicko, man... and you need to get some help. But for anything else you want to do with your tile, try these guys.

Creative had previously done our bathroom vanity. We were able to work with Greg on the redesign of…read moreour kitchen which was a total rehab. A good selection of cabinetry and countertop materials for what we needed. One of the advantages of working with this company is they provide an all in price which includes design, fabrication, demolition, electric and plumbing work, drywall, installations of cabinets and all appliances as well as paint. They coordinate everything. Agreed on a schedule and they kept it. No issues with "extra" work coming up during construction either. They are very interested in customer satisfaction. There were some crossed signals on communication but we were flexible so no big deal. Recommend them for kitchen bath work large or small.

TL;DR - Just don't do it. Especially if you are having them install countertops. The lack of…read morecommunication is infuriating during a process that many aren't familiar with. They don't answer (phone calls, texts, emails - you can't leave a VM for either Howard or Jose) and I had 2 no-shows during this arduous process. Well you have called me 2xs and texted me 2xs asking for my review...here you go. I went to the showroom to look and discuss countertops on February 18th, met Howard gave him my measurements of my kitchen, told them we wanted a waterfall. Not once did he mention my island was too large and told me we would need 2 slabs. He did mention my upper cabinets were high, but that during template they would double check (I told him, yeah the design has our upper cabinets higher than standard due to having vaulted ceilings in our home). He recommend I check out Nash Stone (loved them and their selection. Gabby was super responsive, Nash has great customer service!) I picked out 3 stones and by February 25th (a week later) emailed Howard with pictures and asked for price quotes...AND AGAIN GAVE ALL MY MEASUREMENTS + plus the measurements for A WATERFALL. Still did not mention my island is too large. Had to stay on top of him into March but did get a price quote to which I was told I needed to send in the check to hold the stone. When I sent the check in March, Howard just ghosts all calls or texts until early April. By then the stone I wanted was gone, so I had to run back to Nash and picked out a new stone on April 1st. He wakes up April 5th and tells me April 10th they will come to template. They never show. I was told they forgot my house and finished for the day, cool. So they show up to template on April 11th (take my sink at this time too- we will come back to this) and this is when I am now told my island is way too large. Can't accommodate an a waterfall edge, would need a seam for the stone and they recommend taking out 2 cabinets out of island. I emailed Howard that night, and he never ends up getting back to me. In fact, no one will answer me. Can't leave a voicemail his inbox is full. My husband ends up calling...using a different number and wow would you guess who picks up...Howard. He then pushes us off to work with a different designer, Jose. Real nice and super professional move (*I'm being sarcastic here). Jose does come to our house, and explains that we will need to take out the 2 cabinets. Which honestly is just so frustrating to get to this point and learn this. He also mentions several ways he would have designed our kitchen differently, cool super helpful. My contractor comes back rips out the 2 cabinets (goodbye $1000) they come re-template. Now we are well into the middle of May, we get a call on Sunday 5/21 to set up for install saying it will be Tuesday 5/23 and Wednesday 5/24. MONDAY NIGHT AT 6PM, night before install, Jose is rapidly calling us to tell us, our sink is too large. The sink they have had SINCE APRIL 11TH. He is trying to push us to buy a sink off of them, by some luck my husband finds a new sink in the "correct" size (we wanted a workstation sink) and since they have had this sink since April 11th, I now cannot return the sink (goodbye $614.81). They come and do the backsplash that Tuesday 5/24 and then DO NOT SHOW (no phone call, no text nothing, which I took off of work to be there) on Wednesday. You would think they would of said something that Tuesday that they wouldn't be there, or ask for the new sink? I call 4pm on Wednesday the main phone number asking why no one has come and the woman does not have an answer but tells me they need the new sink delivered by 5pm to either Selden or East Northport location. The lack of communication, professionalism, and customer service is a COMPLETE JOKE with this company. I guess if you are not having a full kitchen design you are not a worthy of their time. Thank you for adding an additional 3 months + wasting $1,600 to my renovation that did not need to be. I will not be recommending this company, ever.

I was told that a replacement unit would take at least six weeks to arrive. Not choosing to wait I repaired the defects and had to negotiate a partial refund directly with the manufacturer. Lesson learned: Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's well made. On two occasions I picked up multiple products at the loading dock. After an exhaustive one-by-one check I found that several items on the delivery ticket were not in fact provided. Lesson learned: Check everything carefully or you will make multiple trips back to the store. Most disappointing, we purchased an undermount sink for the vanity top. After a lengthy discussion with the sales rep. regarding the exact size we wanted, the sink was delivered to us and we sent it to the granite fabricator. When the countertop was delivered and the sink installed, we learned that the sink was smaller than the unit we discussed and selected. We had to purchase a new sink and fabricate a second countertop for $870. Plimpton accepted zero responsibility for the error and would not even refund the $151 for the incorrect unused sink because we did not have the original packaging. (This is after spending more than $12,000 on bathroom fixtures.) Lesson learned: Do not trust that what you communicated and selected will be accurately ordered and delivered. Check everything carefully. We will not use Plimpton for our remaining fixtures, and for the reasons above we do not recommend them to prospective customers.
