I had a blast as usual!! I can't really say too much and I didn't take enough pictures because I was having way too much fun but it's Universal Studios for crying out loud! I did everything except for volcano Bay and Epic. (waiting for the Epic hype to die down) The joint is always clean. The snacks and food are always great. Just expect to spend some money while you are there because you are at a theme park! Friday was a great day to go, we went in as soon as it opened , I don't feel like it was that crowded, but lines were long and the only thing that you can do to ensure you ride on all the rides that you want to...is to purchase a FAST PASS! ($100) Getting a fast pass is the best way to go to get your full experience. My average wait time for every ride was 15 minutes or less, which means you can ride the ride again multiple times if you would like Vs. 45min+ wait time. One of my favorite rides to go on is the Jurassic Park River ride, which was closed for maintenance, but that did not ruin anything for the day. All-in-all universal is always a great place to visit. Please do not let me give too much away for first time visitors in order to savor the total experience. I hope everybody has as much fun as we did! Five Stars!

For some reason, I thought that a holiday this park would be packed; it's a little bit busy in the front of the park and buy the minion section however, towards the back, it is very calm and nice. I'm so glad I decided to spend a couple hours in studios before I go meet my friend for dinner. I am drinking a nectarine spritz from the bar next to the NBC building. This drink I believe was $17 plus tax rounding out to be $20.24. All the wait times for the rides are rather low and I think I will be making my way over to the Dagon alley area to go ride GRINGOTTS only at a 35 minute wait!!! If you haven't mentioned Universal Studios, Florida, I highly recommend it. Some of the days are gonna be less busy than others and for being an annual passholder and a local Floridian that is honestly a plus!!!

I don't go to Universal often but when I do I remember why I'm on the fence about it. The lines in the evening around this time of year aren't too bad. I stopped by for Mardi Gras. It was a little expensive for drinks but overall not too bad.

March 2026 I think Universal Parks are superior to Disney (but I'm not a huge Disney fan in general)! This park has such great themeijt through the entire section, the rides, the shops, the queues, the food, & all the experiences. This park is good for low key rides & sights. Adventure Island is more for big rides & thrills & Epic Universe is the newest park that is great for immersive experiences.

In town for a work event and was treated to a day at Universal Studios. Lines were organized and the staff were professional and patient. There were not as many people as we expected and the majority of the wait time me were around 40 minutes. I'm not a huge rider but was able to enjoy Hulk and Spiderman. If you're looking for a thrill, Hulk will do the job for sure. The food and drinks were good. Definitely come prepared to spend some money if you plan on eating and having some adult beverages. We were able to get a shuttle/bus from the hotel so didn't have to worry about parking luckily.

It'd been a long time since I'd been to Universal Studios, so I was excited to see what all had changed... and while I was happy to see a lot had changed, I was also shocked to see a lot of things were the same: Men In Black ride, Simpson's Krusty Land are the 2 things that come to mind. Those were there and popular when my family brought be as a 10ish year old.. now as a 32 year old to still see them as kind of "sure I guess we'll go ride these too" is kind of sad. Thought those would've been gone by now. Didn't go to Krusty Land but MIB still isnt a terrible time by any means. It just doesn't get much love these days. Easily the best part of the park for us was Diagon Alley. We loved walking around, going in the shops and doing the magic spells with our wands. (a part two from our time at Epic Universe the day before) Our biggest complain, which we expected in some ways, is the waiting and the amount of delays we experience while in lines. We expected 30-60 mins waits for rides... maybe even 90 for the most really popular ones... but I'd never experienced 120 (2 hour+) lines before going to Universal a few weeks ago (early March). While waiting for the Minitry of Magic ride, we waiting over 2 hours, and they told us that there was a stoppage/delay in the ride 7 times... it was terrible. But I knew my wife really wanted to ride it so we stuck it out. These rides all rely so heavily on robots, crazy effects, etc. these days that one small issue seemingly shuts everything down. Regardless of the waits, and the endless lines that feel never ending because every next room feels like you're close to the actually ride... until you get to it and there's a new line maze to get through....we had fun and will probably go back and do Universal studios first so we have more patience for all the waiting as opposed to going the day after Epic and not really waiting too long, but still being tired from a day of walking.

Visited this park on a Sunday, and found it to be far less crowded than Island of Adventures but definitely more dated. The Park opens at 10am on Sundays and we arrived at 11. Upon arrival we encountered nearly no wait times at the ET and MIB rides, so knocked those out first. Those were just OK in my opinion. The highlights of our day here included: - Exploring Diagon and Knockturn Alley. Absolutely incredible, magical, and true to my imagination. Highly recommend for any Harry Potter fan. The Escape from Gringotts ride was a thrilling experience and a lot of fun. - Revenge of The Mummy - this is easily the best ride in the park. We loved it so much that we did it twice! - The Bourne Stuntacular Show - amazing performance, mixing live stunts/actions with animation. A must see!

One of the trio of theme parks plus the water park, it's located right beside Islands of Adventure (and if you have a park hopper ticket, you can go between the two on the Hogwarts Express). Harry Potter Diagon Alley, Simpsons, Dreamworks, Minions, and location specific (Hollywood, San Fran, New York) areas all combine for a large park experience with rides, shows and games. Plus plenty of merch to buy. Great immersion, but catch yourself in a line or in the way for the parade - you're going to be stuck for a bit. I've seen better crowd spacing/control at the Disney parks. They could learn a bit from that. Lots of 4D/3D shows and rides. There's something for everyone although lots of the rides are jerky, so anyone with a bad back/neck or gets nausea should avoid getting on most rides. While not bad, I like IoA and Epic better than this park. Catch the little Back to the Future display (train & car) but not much around that near the Simpsons. Kwik-E-mart and other stops like Moe's tavern for food & drink. Lots of beer. A giant Lard Lad strawberry frosted donut, too, in the Simpsons area :) The Minion games looked fun but missed out (lines in the way). Holiday time was super crowded. Express pass is helpful here - most of the rides have an equivalent and it gets you through the lines faster so you can spend less time waiting and more time riding. I think it'd be more fun when less people - try not to come on a holiday like I did because that made it too crowded and too many people to enjoy fully.

Though I'm a routine Disneyland fanatic, I throughly enjoyed the Universal Orlando Resort and long to return. My parents and I visited December 2024 to celebrate my mom's successful battle of breast cancer and my tumor being benign. Life can be fleeting and you never know what to expect, so let's be off to a theme park! Since a kid I've been theme park obsessed, and I was excited to try the other coast's Universal Park. I'll never look at Hollywood the same as Universal Orlando is hands down the superior park! I definitely think if you have the means to do Orlando versus Hollywood, I'd choose this park! Less congested with people, more rides, better dining, and there are water taxis! My favorite mode of transportation. Some of the attractions are the same from coast-to-coast, but some vary. For example, the Mummy Ride varies between Orlando and Hollywood. I found myself more fond of the one in Orlando as it was more intense. It will be interesting when I finally get to see Epic Universe as I believe it will squash any desire for me to travel to Universal Hollywood. Definitely worth a visit at least once in your life if you enjoy theme parks.

Fun for kiddos. But overpriced in general. I guess that goes with the economy and times. Might be better off to get an annual pass versus two visits for the year - may come out financially better.

Had a blast at Universal and I.o.A this past week :) Took advantage of the BOGO for Florida Residents and it's one of the best deals they have! The park felt almost empty being that I went on a Tuesday / Wednesday (the best times to go in my opinion). Was able to get on velocicoaster 4 times in ONE hour

Universal Studios: This was my third universal vacation as I previously vacationed there as a teen in 2004 and adult in 2017. Between each visit there's been plenty of changes, some for the better (Springfield and Diagon Alley!) and some for the worst (RIP Rip Ride Rockit). I vacationed from 2/23-2/26 and could write a novel on each of the parks, but I'll keep it brief (separate reviews for Islands of Adventure and Epic Universe). The park has a nice variety of rides and themes to appease a wide range of guests. Although there's no traditional roller coaster, the park is home to my favorite attraction out of all the parks, Revenge of the Mummy. Revenge of the Mummy blends an immersive dark ride narrative with a thrilling indoor roller coaster. It wowed me in 2004, and it still packs a punch today. I'd love to go into all the ride details, but it would be superfluous of me as there are plenty of more thorough guides available for those that are interested. There were plenty of dining options and the park was well maintained. My only disappointments were The Universal Mega Movie Parade was not performing, the temporary closure of the Horror Make-up Show (though I am glad it's getting an update), The Big Pink Donut from Lard Lad seemed a little stale (will post a separate review just for Lard Lad) and the previously mentioned permanent closure of Rip Ride Rockit. Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable visit. 4.5 stars, will round to 5.

After exploring Universal Islands of Adventure we took the Howard's Express to Universal. Being a huge Harry Potter fan, I headed straight for Diagon Alley and the Harry Potter themed rides. I love the way they stick to the themes in every land but especially here. The costumes, merchandise in shops and the whole ambiance is perfect for me. We also explored some of the good old standby's like ET, Men in Black, and escape from skull island. There are a few newer (to me) rides like The Simpsons and the walk through exhibit of costumes from the Wicked movies. There is something to eat everywhere you look and I was happy to see a lot of fruit and some healthier snacks available. All the parks were pushing sales of battery powered bubble blowers for kids so everywhere we walked we were inundated with bubbles. Not a bad thing! Because we stayed on property, transportation was very easy by boat. The parking areas are huge (and pricey) but they do have a dedicated ride share area and lots of bus drop off areas. I do recommend getting the express passes and that would allow you to do everything in one day. Fun place to spend time!

What are some options for hotels near by? Cost friendly but nice of course.

The best value on property is Cabana Bay Resort. Once there it's easy access to Volcano Bay and it is possible to walk to the parks. There is bus & water taxi service available too. There are good restaurant options and the lazy river is fun. There… Read more

Best thing is to check their website, since hours are variable for the seasons and days.

    How much is parking?

$26 for full day. I thought the VIP or closer parking was $40 but looks like everyone is saying $50. Its expensive though.

Should every family member have a Lanyard or can one parent have all the express passes in one lanyard? We want to avoid lockers. Also, Do you think we can get a slim fanny pack for 2 phones, express passes and chapstick and avoid using lockers?

We were told to go to Universal Studios Florida, but when we got there, we were redirected to Islands of Adventure. Once we got over there, the line was absolutely nuts. It took about 30 minutes just to get through entry, and the whole process felt disorganized compared to Disney, which runs this kind of thing way more smoothly. Second, the photo pass system was a big letdown. We bought it thinking it would be similar to Disney with lots of photo opportunities throughout the park. Not even close. I think we found maybe three spots total. Even when meeting characters, those photos weren't included; we had to use our own camera, which honestly made no sense. Total waste of money. Now, on the flip side, the Express Pass was hands down the best part of the trip. Since we stayed at one of the resorts, it was included, and it made a huge difference. In my opinion, this is actually better than anything Disney offers right now. That part you all absolutely nailed. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, so no complaints there. The layout of the parks can be a little confusing at times, but that's not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. Overall, we did have a great time. The girls had an absolute blast, which is what matters most. We mainly went for the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter areas, and those definitely lived up to the hype. Would we go back? Honestly, not sure. Glad we went, but there are some things that would need to improve for us to choose it again over Disney.

The lines were super short, so the students were able to ride things 3-4 times with no problem, which made it even more worth it. One of the best deals was the all day dining pass (you have to buy it online). For $24, you get 2 meals and a snack, which is a steal compared to the regular menu prices. Our first stop was Cluckees where we had tenders, wings, and fries. The portions were HUGE and everything was tasty, especially the fries. None of us could even finish our food! For our snack, we grabbed ice cream. The kids loved it, but it wasn't my favorite. Later, we went back to Cluckees for a chicken sandwich and fries for dinner. This time it wasn't as good as earlier. Maybe a different cook or just an off moment. We didn't spend time in the arcade and stayed mostly outside. The park is a pretty decent size with plenty to do. Even as the day went on and traffic picked up, it never felt overly packed. The staff was friendly and very laid back, which added to the relaxed vibe of the day. Overall, it was a good experience. The Hulk coaster, Fearfall wasn't on when we were there, and the Spiderman 4D experience. This area opened in 1999 and is themed from the comic books! All of the buildings in the area have the comic book style architecture and has features themed from iconic Marvel Characters. I really liked how the buildings have special chrome illusion paint. Depending on where you view the building or at a different angle, with specific lighting, it changes how the buildings look! It's pretty cool. There are variety of theme park rides in Marvel Super Hero Island. The Incredible Hulk Coaster: This is a super fast ride! It goes from 0 to 40 mph in just two seconds! The ride can reach up to 67 mph though and has a variety of inversions! The Amazing Spider-Man: This is a 3D dark ride. It's a slow ride though! It combines motion simulation and special effects to immerse you in the ride! You'll get to see Spider Man and a few villains from the series! Doctor Doom Fearfall: This ride is a drop ride. You'll be launched up to close to 200 feet in the air! I try to avoid this ride though. Drop rides are a little scary for me! Storm Force Accelatron: It's a spinning ride. It's based on the X-Men series. You're helping storm defeat Magneto! There are a lot of Meet and Greets in this area! Last time I was here, I saw Wolverine and Captain America! You can also see other superheroes like Spider-man or even villains such as Doctor Doom or the Green Goblin! If you're looking for dining options there is the Captain America Diner, and some other quick service options like Aunt Anne's! There are some stores you can shop in for Marvel merchandise which offers collectible, toys, apparel and so much more! My mom and I spent a few hours at Marvel Super Hero Island. It has a lot of attractions and stores!

Overall, I think this is a great place to check out if you are in Orlando…read more We came here because we have Legoland gold passes which means we get free admission to sea life, Madame Tussaud's, and the Orlando Eye. All three of these together took up about two hours and then we were able to go to Cafe tu tu tango to get a bite to eat. This was a great half day experience while we were visiting Orlando. There was a parking garage and parking was super easy. By that time we left around 8:30 PM there were so many cars, but when we first got there at about 5 PM there were tons of spots. They do have parking spots you can pay for in the lower levels so it seems like if you're willing to pay there will always be parking. If you want free parking, you need to go earlier because this seems to be popular for nightlife. I always appreciate when there's so many attractions together that you can walk to. This place has quite a few restaurants, some shops and the attractions all in a contained area. It was very clean and when we came, there was a huge police presence, because apparently a couple weeks before there was hundreds of teenagers that descended to the area and fought. So the place was doing a really good job making sure that everything was safe. This is a place for both families and non-families alike.

The entertainment complex has a variety of restaurants ranging in price , including my beloved Shake Shack. There are shops, an aquarium, was museum, arcades, live music, illusion museum, and several other places on the twenty acre complex I'm not sure about parking other than knowing it's free. I usually walk over from my hotel when in town for conferences. It's something to do in evening after sitting all day listening to speakers.

This is a section you can spend only a little of your time in or it might be where you spend the bulk of your time. That likely depends on how many of the shops and restaurants you want to visit in the area. You may also be fans of the magical wands and making things move in the windows. I really enjoyed seeing the pages of the book come alive as well as several visitors, dressed in robes and other Harry Potter themed clothing. This is a fantastic spot for picture taking as well. It does get quite crowded in certain areas so hold onto your patience and enjoy the experience.

Its sole ride, Escape from Gringotts I gave two stars as I found it very lackluster compared to the two Potter themed thrill rides over at Islands of Adventure. But the theming in this section of the park is absolutely phenomenal and highly immersive enough to make this an easy 4 stars. The Knight Bus was fun enough for both my sister and I to get pictures by it with its friendly steward and his appropriate accent. I missed the low key entrance on our first go round. As I said I watched the movies in a cloud of smoke and didn't realize it was this secret fandom entrance/exit but the throngs passing through tipped us off. The greater density with everything packed so tightly together and its separation from the other themed areas of Universal Studios Florida makes this Potter themed area more impressive than its counterpart over at Islands of Adventure- even without a magnificent castle. The alleys, the shops, the hand painted signage, the dragon perched high shooting out that massive flame... I can only imagine how hard this hits if you're a Potter fanatic. And though Escape from Gringotts was pretty weak sauce in my estimation the queue and the theming before the ride experience was top notch. They really broke the bank on this, as with the great train ride in. Maybe if I ever go back I'll watch a Potter movie or two sober.

(Did a Yoshi hat come home with us? Yes, yes it did.) This space will not be appreciated by everyone - not because we don't love Mario Bros but because it is small and full of people in every corner. It offers a few attractions and it is a huge commitment to stand in line for a short thrill. We did ride Bowser's ride. It allowed for single riders. It delays regularly though - in our case a cart had to be removed and replaced on the track. It involves a lot of technology the way the game is designed. Our family of 4 did not understand the game at all and how we even gathered points. Thankfully we didn't stand in line as long and wouldn't recommend anyone else does. Sadly the other rides were not part of our day due to the lengthy wait times and in the case of Donkey Kong, so backed up that the single rider line was closed. We witnessed a lot of happy kids running around and tapping question marked boxes. Even for my older teen / adult children they stood in the space and smiled while they took it in. It was the first place they wanted to see upon our arrival.
