A fun ride for the entire family. A short and quick coaster trip with leans and curves. Located in the DreamWorks Land area of the resort, the theme is trying to escape from spiders along with Poppy, Tiny and the twins. There are no upside down loops or inversions. It's one speed only at about 20 miles an hour for about 1 minute around the full track. The height is about 25-30 feet high but most of the ride is below the peak. It's a fun ride,

I enjoy going to Universal Orlando Resort three times a year four fun hanging out with friends and riding the rides and having great food I love staying on property so I'm close to the action every day from Erie Park admission at 8 AM at Islands adventure

The shops around here are great! The Heavy rain made us run into here. While waiting the weather out we loaded ourselves with candy and goods, plenty of Universal souvenirs! A great store.

Went with family and friends, group of 20, on a gorgeous Sunday between Christmas and New Years. Had a great mix of things between a "thrill seeking" roller coaster loving group and the group with the baby and "non roller coaster riders". The lines were long compared to the length of the rides, but the rides, although short, were amazing on graphics. We rode the Harry Potter coaster and the Return of the Mummy. I surprisingly really enjoyed the Jimmy Fallon ride through New York, especially since the line was more comparable to the experience! The Minions/Dispicable Me was not a ride, but a shooting/ real life arcade experience. The food was fairly disappointing. Lastly the parade towards the end of the day was the cherry on top and ultimately ushered the majority of everyone out afterwards; so tip of the day... wait to ride the roller coasters AFTER the parade and you will still have about 2 hours with the park practically to yourself!

Just writing this review wishing I was at Universal Orlando right now. This place is just so freaking fun! My friend and I recently went and signed up for the Universal VIP Experience. It's seriously the real place where dreams are made. We had an amazing tour guide and got to skip the line and ride 10 rides in our eight hour window. This included all the hot spots including Hagrid's Motorbike ride and the VelociCoaster, both of which had over 100 minute waits. Your tour guide literally walks you to the ride through the exit, it's literally magic. Both rides were the best rides I've ever been on. I mean a rollercoaster that goes upside down and has a 90 degree drop with only a lap belt, it was insane! Harry Potter will also continue to just be the best place ever. I can never get over the theming and the rides are pretty amazing too. I was a little bummed the Universal Studios side closed so early for Halloween Horror Nights, but just be aware of that if you go during that time of year. Looking forward to my next trip.

I decided to visit Universal Studios and celebrate Mardi Gras to see the parade and get good food. The parade was amazing. All the artist gave their 100% and more to make a good show. Everything was well organized, and the staff helped to ensure that everyone was safe. The food was delicious. I got the sweet & savory gouda & onion waffle (Belgium), Potstickers (China), Currywurst (Germany), and the Roman Suppli (Italy). All of them were delicious, I couldn't select only one as my favorite. The Mardi Gras celebration is still going, so I'll be going back to keep trying more food!

Universal Studios Recap Stayed at Royal Pacific (deluxe) for unlimited fast past and early hour. *unable to review hotel at this time due to some serious issues; but the fast pass and early entry were fabulous. We would have probably only ridden 8-10 rides without the unlimited fast pass. We also utilized single rider lines a few times (this saved over an hour on Hagrid's). Islands of Adventure Hours: 9am-7pm *early hour for Islands of Adventure, enter at 8am Universal Studios Hours: 9am-9pm 19 rides in 13 hours (8am-9pm) 11 miles walked Bold = Express Pass, ?/10 = my rating Islands of Adventure * Hagrids 10/10 *split up and used single rider line *must use lockers for stuff * Velocicoaster 10/10 *must use lockers for stuff * Forbidden Journey 7/10 *must use lockers for stuff (left for Hippogriff) * Flight of the Hippogriff 5/10 * Lunch: Rice Bowl at Thunder Falls Terrace 8/10, better than Qdoba! * King/Skull Island 4/10 * Rip Shaw Falls 10/10 * Popeye's Barges 10/10 * *Dried off, stopped for frozen lemonade * Spider-Man 8/10 * Hulk 10/10 *must use lockers for stuff * Beef Kabob at the Kabob Hut * Hogwarts Express to Universal Studios 6/10 Universal Studios * Arrive on Hogwarts Express * *stopped for Starbucks * Revenge of the Mummy 8/10 but we got stuck multiple times, including in the 'hot room.' * Jimmy Fallon 7/10 *delayed for a bit due to someone throwing up * despicable Me 10/10 * *Stopped at Chez Alcatraz for drinks - 8/10 * Hogwarts Express back to Islands of Adventure; different experience *missed the rain! 8/10 IOA Part 2 (closes at 7) * Delayed for hour due to tropical downpours * Drinks at Hogs Head - drinks 5/10, 8/10 for cover come the rain * Hogwarts express - back to US US Part 2 * Escape from Gringotts 9/10 *delayed * Explore Diagonal Alley 10/10 * Explore Knockturn Aley 10/10 * Men in Black 5/10 * Fast and Furious 6/10 *multiple issues, not worth riding in my opinion * Transformers 9/10 *single rider line Did not ride or missed on my list: * Pteranandon Flyers - skipped * River Adventure - closed when we went through * Storm Force - skipped * Missed food at Mythos -*too busy * Missed Leaky Cauldron - Pumpkin Juice * Florian Fortescues Ice Cream *line crazy long * Skipped all of the Simpson Area * ET - skipped, then closed early * Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket - down almost all day Overall review of Universal Studios: very clean, mostly friendly staff, and Harry Potter was incredibly immersive! Hagrid's, Velocicoster and Hulk are my favorite thrill rides. Hill was the first upside-down coaster I rode over 20 years ago! Despicable Me was my favorite normal ride, SO SO CUTE. Transformers was a surpassingly fun ride as well! We would likely skip some rides next time and ride our favorites multiple time (this was our plan, but the rain messed that up and basically closed those rides due to proximity to closing time). Jimmy Fallon gets my honorable mention! Harry Potter and the forbidden journey defiantly made me queasy - only ride that threw me off a little, but I was ok after a few minutes back outside. When we come back with kid, I'll definitely do multiple days and plan water rides with a 'nap break' to change. Even using the dryers we were basically wet for hours (and I love the water rides). Obviously, our hotel experience was not great. Still resolving this, but I have to say, I am so happy to be home and I plan to hermit myself away from people for a week or two to recover. Best food: Jack's American Bar at Royal Pacific Thunder Terrace Frozen lemonade was DELISH Worst food: CowFish Butterbeer (I know this is an unpopular opinion but just yuck ) That's all, folks!

hooray for Florida?! I was a bit skeptical and apprehensive about spending a day at Universal Orlando as I didn't have the greatest experience at Universal Hollywood in 2021 (see my review). However, I was assured by my friend that the Florida park is better and much grander than Hollywood. And, thankfully, he was correct. NOTES: 1. Universal Orlando Resort is comprised of 2 parks: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. 2. Separate tickets for each park will need to be purchased. 3. Park-to-park tickets are required for those interested in riding the Hogwarts Express between parks. fyi. 4. I spent 1 day at the Universal Orlando Resort in November 2022 visiting both parks. For ticket info, please visit: https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/tickets-packages/park-tickets PARKING: 1. $27 for self park. Valet available for a higher fee. 2. The staff are quick to assist guest to the correct section and stalls in the lot. Very efficient. 3. Follow signs to the escalators and park entrance. Guests will have to pass thru a security check point before walking thru to the parks. Bags will be checked as well. And just like Hollywood, guests will have to walk thru the Universal Citywalk to access the park entrances. I'll briefly mentioned the attractions I experienced in both parks. Since I was only there for 1 day, there wasn't enough time to ride all or most of the attractions (sadly). ***U N I V E R S A L S T U D I O S***: *NEW YORK*: 1. Race thru NY w/ Jimmy Fallon: A 3D journey ride thru the streets of New York that takes the rider on a tour of NYC's famous landmarks. It was ok. *SAN FRANCISCO*: 1. Fast & Furious - Supercharged: Another 3D type or ride involving racing, chases, and explosion with the crew from Fast and the Furious. *WOODY WOODPECKER'S KIDZONE*: 1. E.T. Adventure: This was cool! Although the ride is clearly in need of an update (it is showing its age), fans of the movie will no doubt revel in this experience of flying with E.T.! *WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER - DIAGON ALLEY*: 1. Knight Bus: Very cool! Although the bus is just stationary and you can't ride it, it's cool just to take pictures and speak with the conductor too. 2. Leaky Cauldron: The real life watering hole from the movie. We had lunch here (please see my separate review). The detail is extraordinary, I felt like I walked onto the movie set. 3. Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts: Amazing, amazing ride! I loved it! Waiting for the ride was exceptional as well, as the waiting area proceeds thru the main floor of the Gringotts bank, goblins and all. I wouldn't recommend this ride to those that are prone to motion sickness. 4. Hogwarts Express - King's Cross Station: All aboard for the Hogwarts Express, first years this way! As a fan of the HP series, I felt utter joy and excitement on being able to set foot in King's Cross and board the Hogwarts Express. Although not truly a "ride" per se, it was such a great experience. No spoilers about the train ride here.....you'll just have to see for yourself. Catch the train at platform 9.75. Lastly, I LOVED the fact that I took a picture knocking on the door of Number 12 Grimmauld Place!! ***I S L A N D S O F A D V E N T U R E***: *SKULL ISLAND: REIGN OF KONG*: This entire section is just the 3D ride itself. And it is quite the spectacle. Hang onto something as Kong takes you on an adventure all over his island! *JURASSIC PARK*: 1. Jurassic Park: River Adventure: The classic ride from the classic movie. Cruise thru the jungle and view the dinosaurs before the river gets rapid. You will get wet at some point, you have been warned! Recommended. 2. Jurassic World Velocicoaster: As I am writing this, I still can't believe I agreed to getting on this ride.....especially after hearing all the screaming going on from other riders. Life finds a way I guess (to convince me). There were many, many twists, turns, screams, loops, and even more screams from me. I survived to tell the tale as I am sure you will too. Recommended for those that have a thrill and affinity for rollercoasters. *THE LOST CONTINENT*: 1. Poseidon's Fury: An archaeology journey that incorporates history, water and special effects, and live storytelling. The water tunnel was the coolest thing about this adventure! *THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER - HOGSMEADE: 1. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey: Much like escape from Gringotts, there is much rough motion and effects on this ride. If you're sensitive to motion sickness, I wouldn't recommend this ride. We wanted to ride Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure, but the wait time was 170 minutes. BOTTOM LINE: Overall, it was a great day at Universal Orlando. I definitely prefer this park over Universal Hollywood for sure. For those with families, it might be advantageous to spend 1 day at each park.

Vacation mode activated! So overwhelmingly excited that I got to come to Universal Orlando for the first time ever. I haven't been to Florida in general since it was my 7th birthday and my whole family went to Disney. This year however it's my husband, my best friend and myself, my created family venturing our first theme park together. Harry Potter was an obvious draw for us and was or main destination. However, we also were looking forward to the Jimmy Fallon ride, the Jurassic Park area, the Dr. Suess bookstore and all the glorious food. Having the chance to explore Universal Studios Resort for 2 days was an absolute pleasure and I hope to come back sooner than later. Thanks for the exemplary visit and experience!

If i get the express pass unlimited will i be able to use it for all the rides? will there be rides where i can only use the pass once?

Not all rides have express pass lines unfortunately, but otherwise I think the unlimited would allow multiple where the option exists.

We had a beautiful day to visit and smiled throughout the day. Some of our best moments were walking through the various city streets and seeing musical performances and dancing. The walkways were wide and we were never on top of other guests. Most rides had reasonable wait times and/or offered single rider options. The locker areas for cramped, but I appreciated how many of the wait queues were indoors, keeping us cooler and away from the rain. The Harry Potter sections were amazing, just amazing. I couldn't have imagined how it would have felt being in the middle of the space. Restaurants, both sit down and quick service, were scattered throughout the park. I loved that we didn't have to worry plan in advance to get a spot at either. My only downside to Universal Studios is that some of the themes felt outdated or just aren't favorite characters of mine. At least this helped to decrease the temptation of spending money on apparel or merchandise.

(I haven't seen a single one of those movies either!) I'm much more a fan of roller coasters than motion simulators so I like Islands of Adventure a good deal more than USF. I also like the theming more, apart from the Springfield area and Diagon Alley. The whole studio backlot/cityscape isn't as interesting to me. It's still a pleasant looking park though. The layout seems more confusing than IOA which is really straightforward and simple. Maybe part of it is this was my maiden voyage to USF while I'd been to IOA once before but there's just more nooks and crannies here. I've done reviews for most of the major rides and Diagon Alley. Simpsons and Transformers are elite, E.T. is a wonderful blast of nostalgia and weirdness we must protect at all costs, Escape from Gringotts is way overrated even if the queue theming and preshow is superb, I got no love for Jimmy Fallon or his stupid ride, the indoor Mummy coaster is surprisingly good still leaves this park's coaster lineup lagging way behind its neighbors, Men in Black is okay but not worth waiting in a long line for and the Minions shooter game was a quick diversion I never even bothered to do a review for. I'm just seeing we missed another Minions ride, a motion simulator. It was such a whirlwind of queues with almost no wait I guess it was easy to miss one. The Blues Brothers musical revue was an absolute blast with an awesome setting. And the Mardi Gras parade wrapped itself around the city streets around the diner where my sister and I ate dinner with us looking out the window and had parade to spare both before and after our meal! It went on for over half an hour. Universal didn't chintz out on that at all. Cast members, floats and flying beads aplenty. There were more shows, too, with stuff like behind the scenes on how Hollywood does makeup, stuff like that. We skipped these but stuff like this is why I wish I'd gotten my parents to this park before they passed. They'd have loved stuff like that, the Blues Brothers and the Hogwarts express. They seemed to like Islands of Adventure okay but I think they'd have liked this park considerably more. The theming, too, I think they'd have enjoyed more. This park closed a couple hours early on the weekday we visited, booked by some high rollers for a private event so we ended our day where we started at Islands of Adventure. And though I like that park more, with a Fast and Furious coaster on the way to USF I think I'd be more eager to return here and ride that and spend more time exploring and soaking in the vibes at this park.

I also liked that there's no entry fee for non-riders and you can purchase rides à la carte. I ended up paying $12 for a go-kart ride and LOVED it We got there around 12 PM and it wasn't crowded at all. The lines were super short, so the students were able to ride things 3-4 times with no problem, which made it even more worth it. One of the best deals was the all day dining pass (you have to buy it online). For $24, you get 2 meals and a snack, which is a steal compared to the regular menu prices. Our first stop was Cluckees where we had tenders, wings, and fries. The portions were HUGE and everything was tasty, especially the fries. None of us could even finish our food! For our snack, we grabbed ice cream. The kids loved it, but it wasn't my favorite. Later, we went back to Cluckees for a chicken sandwich and fries for dinner. This time it wasn't as good as earlier. Maybe a different cook or just an off moment. We didn't spend time in the arcade and stayed mostly outside. The park is a pretty decent size with plenty to do. Even as the day went on and traffic picked up, it never felt overly packed. The staff was friendly and very laid back, which added to the relaxed vibe of the day. Overall, it was a good experience. The kids really enjoyed it. I'd give it a 3.5. Btw I think there is a bee problem there. I saw bees flying around often. Not enough to ruin the experience, but I definitely noticed them.

This is a section you can spend only a little of your time in or it might be where you spend the bulk of your time. That likely depends on how many of the shops and restaurants you want to visit in the area. You may also be fans of the magical wands and making things move in the windows. I really enjoyed seeing the pages of the book come alive as well as several visitors, dressed in robes and other Harry Potter themed clothing. This is a fantastic spot for picture taking as well. It does get quite crowded in certain areas so hold onto your patience and enjoy the experience.

Its sole ride, Escape from Gringotts I gave two stars as I found it very lackluster compared to the two Potter themed thrill rides over at Islands of Adventure. But the theming in this section of the park is absolutely phenomenal and highly immersive enough to make this an easy 4 stars. The Knight Bus was fun enough for both my sister and I to get pictures by it with its friendly steward and his appropriate accent. I missed the low key entrance on our first go round. As I said I watched the movies in a cloud of smoke and didn't realize it was this secret fandom entrance/exit but the throngs passing through tipped us off. The greater density with everything packed so tightly together and its separation from the other themed areas of Universal Studios Florida makes this Potter themed area more impressive than its counterpart over at Islands of Adventure- even without a magnificent castle. The alleys, the shops, the hand painted signage, the dragon perched high shooting out that massive flame... I can only imagine how hard this hits if you're a Potter fanatic. And though Escape from Gringotts was pretty weak sauce in my estimation the queue and the theming before the ride experience was top notch. They really broke the bank on this, as with the great train ride in. Maybe if I ever go back I'll watch a Potter movie or two sober.

(Did a Yoshi hat come home with us? Yes, yes it did.) This space will not be appreciated by everyone - not because we don't love Mario Bros but because it is small and full of people in every corner. It offers a few attractions and it is a huge commitment to stand in line for a short thrill. We did ride Bowser's ride. It allowed for single riders. It delays regularly though - in our case a cart had to be removed and replaced on the track. It involves a lot of technology the way the game is designed. Our family of 4 did not understand the game at all and how we even gathered points. Thankfully we didn't stand in line as long and wouldn't recommend anyone else does. Sadly the other rides were not part of our day due to the lengthy wait times and in the case of Donkey Kong, so backed up that the single rider line was closed. We witnessed a lot of happy kids running around and tapping question marked boxes. Even for my older teen / adult children they stood in the space and smiled while they took it in. It was the first place they wanted to see upon our arrival.

All three of these together took up about two hours and then we were able to go to Cafe tu tu tango to get a bite to eat. This was a great half day experience while we were visiting Orlando. There was a parking garage and parking was super easy. By that time we left around 8:30 PM there were so many cars, but when we first got there at about 5 PM there were tons of spots. They do have parking spots you can pay for in the lower levels so it seems like if you're willing to pay there will always be parking. If you want free parking, you need to go earlier because this seems to be popular for nightlife. I always appreciate when there's so many attractions together that you can walk to. This place has quite a few restaurants, some shops and the attractions all in a contained area. It was very clean and when we came, there was a huge police presence, because apparently a couple weeks before there was hundreds of teenagers that descended to the area and fought. So the place was doing a really good job making sure that everything was safe. This is a place for both families and non-families alike.

The entertainment complex has a variety of restaurants ranging in price , including my beloved Shake Shack. I usually walk over from my hotel when in town for conferences. It's something to do in evening after sitting all day listening to speakers.

I was exhausted from a full day of travel the night before but their hours were flexible for me to be able to stop in on my free time. If you are just going into the gator spot you can skip the ticket counter and head right over to The Gator Spot. Staff working the gift shop have a window that opens to the entrance where they will scan your wrist band (admission is free with fun spot wrist bands). Admission just to the Gator spot is only $6. I purchased that and the option to feed the gators. I wish they had pointed out the Ultimate admission offer that you get admission, a photo & feeding for a discounted price - I did end up purchasing photos as well as some fun stuff in the gift shop. Everyone I encountered working at the Gator spot were so friendly & sweet. They have 4 alligator enclosures, photo ops, tortoise, monitor lizard & bird enclosure. It is a small are but exactly what I was looking for. I was able to feed the gators fish while going in the enclosure and posing in the pit for a photo. They had baby alligators, yearlings, 5-6 year olds and one really large guy in his own pin. At the photo area you can hold Cheesecake an Albino Alligator or Grumpy a feisty little female gator or a python. I waited for my opportunity while the photographer did some photos of the family ahead of me. It was pretty comical watching the reactions of people when they get held the animal or freaking out asking why the live animal is moving while they hold them. There was no one after me so I asked if I could get a photo with Cheesecake & Grumpy so I could make my mom a Mother's Day Card. Cheesecake was a very calm gator with very beautiful intriguing eyes, she is very mellow and would be good for those unsure about holding one. Grumpy on the other hand had been feisty all day according to the worker. She was moving and wiggling around. The group in front of me jumped up and asked why she doing that when she started wiggling. I don't know if she just liked me or if she could sense how awesome I thought this was but she was so calm when I held her, she even closed her eyes while I had her. The worker was surprised at how still she was for me. This was such a great experience and the staff was so friendly. This was a great small stop to see some gators without having to spend a lot of money or being short on time. I would highly suggest checking out if you are passing through the area.

I really enjoyed seeing the many alligators they had and the baby ones too. They have white albino one that's pretty cool. Then there is "big nasty" the biggest of all there.
