I am a sensitive, corny dreamer girl--and Super Nintendo World in Epic Universe it what dreams are made of. Completely immersive and well designed, this place puts you right in the mind of the game makers. I met mario, I enjoyed all the rides, and I rocked that Power Up Band. If you are not familiar, the Power Up Band unlocks mini-games throughout the world. Once you complete all the mini-games, you can compete in a larger game against Bowser Jr. If you are a Nintendo person, this is a must! I had so much fun. Most of the Team Members were so helpful and participated with me since I was solo. Plus, up-punching the ? blocks for coins? Elite. An amazing adventure from the music, the interactive elements, the team, and the rides. I cannot wait to go back.

Super Nintendo World in Epic Universe is heaps better than the one in Universal Hollywood! I visited the one in California last summer & it does not compare to this one... at all. There's a lot more to do here: rides, food, & mini games. I really loved Donkey Kong themed land, also inside Nintendo World. The Mine Cart Madness ride is worth the wait btw! Must try the Donkey Kong Crush Float, available at the Bubbly Barrel... absolutely delicious. 10/10 experience.

DK Country was a must ride inside Super Nintendo world! Orlando's SNES world was WAY LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than Cali's! They had the room to make this area super dope for adults and children. There's full themed cafe's, drink stands like the Donkey Kong stand and bunch of mini games, costume actors / shows and just overall nostalgic. Kong's ride makes you feel like you were a part of the game! Worth it! Best thing in here! There's one part of the ride it looks like your mining cart jumps the track haha! Luckily lines were short when we went! We already did bowsers ride in cali, and was thoroughly disappointed so we opted to skip that one. Will have to try yoshi's ride next time

The Nintendo World is the most popular park in Epic Universe. They did such amazing job of making the whole space look exactly like the Nintendo World. There are several rides, games, cafe and shops in this park. It's multi level, so there are stairs and elevators available to go up and down. The most popular ride in here is the Yoshi Adventure. It's super popular. Wait time goes above 40 minutes within an hour of opening. The gift shop here is huge. It's heaven for Mario fans. It has an incredible collection of Nintendo and Mario merchandises. I spent so much time at this store checking out the hats, t-shirts, costumes, water bottles, notepads, figurines and all the different things. All things considered, this was my favorite part of Epic Universe.

Omg, where do i even start!!!!? I spent my birthday here and wooooow, couldn't have asked for a better bday. I almost shed a tear everywhere in here. The lines were of course long but maaaaaan, what a dream come true. I'm old now but Super Nintendo will never get boring or old. I'm so thankful & the staff wished me a hbd every time they noticed my birthday pin, super friendly and attentive staff. I'll have to come back and enjoy it again for sure. What a dream !!!!!

Super Nintendo World is the place to be during the evening hours at Epic Universe. I grew up playing the regular Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Game Cube, N64 and other gaming consoles. I've been to the Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood, but during my Epic Universe visit on a Sunday in October, I had a chance to visit the Super Nintendo World in Orlando Florida. Super Nintendo World is one of the most immersive and interactive lands that I've ever gone to. As soon as you enter the green warp pipe, you're transported into the world of Super Nintendo. You'll see floating coins, Goombas, Piranha Plants, and a towering Peach's Castle. It makes you feel like you're inside the Mushroom Kingdom! The land has two major sections. The first is the Super Mario Land, which centers on two main attractions. There is the Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, which an augmented reality dark ride where riders race through Browser's Castle in a kart. You get to collect coins and dodge obstacles. You don't necessarily need to wear the VR visors on the ride if you get motion sickness though! The second ride is Yoshi's Adventure. It's a omnimover style attraction where riders cruise in a Yoshi shaped vehicle above the land, taking in views of the Mushroom Kingdom! The second area is the full Donkey Kong Country area. You can visit the Donkey Kong themed area with jungles, waterfalls, and landmarks from the video games like Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2. There is also the Golden Template! The key attraction in this area is the Mine Cart Madness. This ride is one of my favorite rides! It's a roller coaster that uses a boom coaster design. While you ride this ride, you'll see broken track, but the car is actually attached to a hidden track underneath. This creates the illusion of jumping gapes, just like in the video games! It's so cool! If you have the Power Up Band, the wearable wristband sold in the theme parks or at Universal City Walk, you can collect digital coins by hitting virtual blocks, playing mini games around the land, and even team up with others for a boss battle against Bowser Jr. A lot of these experiences are interactive which is great! There are a variety of shops and dining locations inside the Super Nintendo World. There is Toadstool's Cafe, Yoshi's Snack Island, and Turbo Boost Treats. For merchandise and collectibles you could visit stores like the 1 Up Factory and Mario Motors (After the Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, you'll actually exit into Mario Motors). This is such a fun and interactive themed area. I was hoping to do a Meet and Greet with Donkey Kong, but unfortunately, there wasn't any availability. You could easily spend half a day inside Super Nintendo World.

If you grew up playing Mario, you'll enjoy the throwbacks here! The Mario Kart ride was fun and competitive! Definitely worth the visit....but also one and done...not a ton to do here but walking around was a time machine to childhood memories :)

Go left when you come in -it's the first portal/world to the left past the Celestial Park carousel. The big portal is a cool green tube ride up in the escalators into this world - it's on an elevated second level (the lower level has restaurants, shops and meet & greets) - portraits of Princess Peach, etc. as it opens up into a beautifully designed portion of the park. A lot of play possibility with watches you buy in order to track your scores... hit the boxes, add to your scores in various minigames and boxes to hit everywhere, and other things that you can do increase your scores including go on rides, and a lot of people taking photos everywhere. Character meet and greets were very long lines. The rides were all super long lines... Mine Cart Madness, Yoshi's Adventure, and Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge were all over 200min when we visited. Single rider onto the Kart ride took more than an hour of waiting around with little to do since it skips the line. Only three rides in this area. Lots of merch, super fun little decor and photo ops, but really too many people for too few rides... get the Express pass if you want to ride everything in Epic especially this area which was busy from early open through close.

The design of this is simply amazing. Whoever put it together did a great job. It looks just like you are in Mario. The castle even has the photos on the walls, like N64 Mario where you jump in the photo for that world. There are 3 rides here. The Yoshi ride is cute, DK is a small roller-coaster (very fun), and Mario Cart, where it's like you are playing the game. They have the music playing, gold blocks, etc within this area. So cute and fun.

very cute section of universals new epic universe park. I would say the person who would enjoy this best is a big mario world fan, the park is visually striking and almost feels too good to be true when you walk in. it's very photogenic and really captures the theme park feeling. the negative is that the rides are pretty lackluster and have long wait times. they do a good job of keeping the lines in shade and air conditioning but it will be a long wait, and many of them are VR or lazy river type rides. overall it's worth it just for the scenery but i wouldn't come looking for a coaster.

I always liked Nintendo- I grew up playing the old plug-in games on a fat tv, then was obsessed with the Nintendo DS, and have now started learning the ways of the switch. But I still never realized quite how magical an actual Nintendo World theme park would be. The great attention to detail in this pair is astounding (really, in all of Epic Universe, but Nintendo World in specific really made my inner kid heart so proud). It is overstimulation central with so much going on, but it's also such a dream. So many moving parts, bright colors, interactive spots and pure fun. There are a lot of steps to go up and down between walking around the area and in the ride queues. There are 3 rides in this world- Yoshi's Adventure, which is a chill kind of tour of the park, a virtual Mario Kart ride/ race, and Mine-Cart Madness, Donkey Kong's famed roller coaster. Every part of this part is just awesome. Something extra special is you can also buy interactive wristbands for Nintendo World- they work kind of like how wands work in Harry Potter land. It's really all a lot of fun and so great for the kids, and adults that are kids at heart.

    Samantha Q.

Love Super Nintendo World! Literally felt like I was inside a video game. Loved the kid Yoshi ride, great way to ride around and see the land. We didn't get the wristbands for all the interactive activities but everyone made it look like it was so much fun. The negatives: The headband and glasses for Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge made the whole ride miserable honestly. & I wish Mine Cart Madness was apart of the Express Pass - we knew that going in but really wish the wait wasn't so crazy so we could've experienced it.

    Isabel M.

I visited Nintendo World during the technical rehearsals, and it was amazing! Even though a few attractions were still closed, there were plenty of character meet-and-greets, and the main ride was incredibly interactive. The whole area is so immersive; it really feels like stepping into a video game! There isn't much shade, so be prepared for sun or rain. The wait time for Mario Kart was pretty long, but the ride itself was a lot of fun (though a bit tricky to figure out at first). I'm looking forward to going back and hopefully riding donkey Kong!

Jurrasic Park, Superheroes, Harry Potter, and classic cartoon characters are the standout themes here and the rides are made for older kids and adults. The park closed at 9p and I loved how you could get in line up until that time versus them closing entry early. Next visit we will consider the ride passes. It was an obvious difference in waiting time. SO expensive though, even without this add on. We'll be back Orlando!

We were told to go to Universal Studios Florida, but when we got there, we were redirected to Islands of Adventure. Once we got over there, the line was absolutely nuts. It took about 30 minutes just to get through entry, and the whole process felt disorganized compared to Disney, which runs this kind of thing way more smoothly. Second, the photo pass system was a big letdown. We bought it thinking it would be similar to Disney with lots of photo opportunities throughout the park. Not even close. I think we found maybe three spots total. Even when meeting characters, those photos weren't included; we had to use our own camera, which honestly made no sense. Total waste of money. Now, on the flip side, the Express Pass was hands down the best part of the trip. Since we stayed at one of the resorts, it was included, and it made a huge difference. In my opinion, this is actually better than anything Disney offers right now. That part you all absolutely nailed. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful, so no complaints there. The layout of the parks can be a little confusing at times, but that's not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of. Overall, we did have a great time. The girls had an absolute blast, which is what matters most. We mainly went for the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter areas, and those definitely lived up to the hype. Would we go back? Honestly, not sure. Glad we went, but there are some things that would need to improve for us to choose it again over Disney.

I also liked that there's no entry fee for non-riders and you can purchase rides à la carte. I ended up paying $12 for a go-kart ride and LOVED it We got there around 12 PM and it wasn't crowded at all. The lines were super short, so the students were able to ride things 3-4 times with no problem, which made it even more worth it. One of the best deals was the all day dining pass (you have to buy it online). For $24, you get 2 meals and a snack, which is a steal compared to the regular menu prices. Our first stop was Cluckees where we had tenders, wings, and fries. The portions were HUGE and everything was tasty, especially the fries. None of us could even finish our food! For our snack, we grabbed ice cream. The kids loved it, but it wasn't my favorite. Later, we went back to Cluckees for a chicken sandwich and fries for dinner. This time it wasn't as good as earlier. Maybe a different cook or just an off moment. We didn't spend time in the arcade and stayed mostly outside. The park is a pretty decent size with plenty to do. Even as the day went on and traffic picked up, it never felt overly packed. The staff was friendly and very laid back, which added to the relaxed vibe of the day. Overall, it was a good experience. The kids really enjoyed it. I'd give it a 3.5. Btw I think there is a bee problem there. I saw bees flying around often. Not enough to ruin the experience, but I definitely noticed them.

We had a beautiful day to visit and smiled throughout the day. Some of our best moments were walking through the various city streets and seeing musical performances and dancing. The walkways were wide and we were never on top of other guests. Most rides had reasonable wait times and/or offered single rider options. The locker areas for cramped, but I appreciated how many of the wait queues were indoors, keeping us cooler and away from the rain. The Harry Potter sections were amazing, just amazing. I couldn't have imagined how it would have felt being in the middle of the space. Restaurants, both sit down and quick service, were scattered throughout the park. I loved that we didn't have to worry plan in advance to get a spot at either. We got to the park the same day we arrived and after a few minutes getting the tickets scanned and validated, we were on our way. We opted for Universal park first and entered pretty much into minion land. From that point onward, the day was a blur of walking, riding the attractions and just marveling at the details that go into a place like this. Of all the attractions in this park, the one that the kids kept wanting to go back to was the entire Harry Potter area - they really do a spectacular job with the attractions and when the giant dragon on top of Gringotts decides to blow fire, you feel the heat wave pass you by. The park is pretty much set up in a large circle and we did a few laps that day we were here. There are plenty of food beverage options available in the park- and as you might expect, those are not going to be exactly cheap. We ate at Krusty burger over in Simpsons land and to be fair, while expensive, the food was actually better than expected for this type of venue. Definitely something for everyone at this park and sure to engage pretty much most of the age groups. I enjoyed the attractions as much as the kids did to be honest. Be prepared to walk - bring those extra comfy shoes and don't forget the sunscreen and sunglasses. A wonderful time and we are already planning another visit.

You can find it on Google Maps by clicking HERE. The bundle I bought us had admission for The Orlando Eye which is the huge observation wheel, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and the Sea Life Aquarium. There's a huge parking garage which is $20 for the first 3 floors but free for the 4th floor and up, so of course, we parked on the 4th floor. There's a ton of food options between walk up and sit down joints. We picked a Mexican joint called Uncle Julio's. It was good for the price and location. Nothing super special but again, good for the price. Our day hit a bump in the road when we walked over to the attractions entrance. A guy named Malcom met us, I showed him my email receipt and he immediately said "oh, the Eye (the observation wheel) is down today". At first, he said they'd have to refund the 3 attraction combo ticket I bought, then I'd have to go online and re-buy a 2 attraction ticket. I didn't get upset or anything. I just calmly said "wait. Y'all can't help me with that right here?" and he said "give me a minute, let me see what I can figure out". To his credit, he really did have to jump through some hoops. The system was trying to force "surge pricing" on the transaction because of how busy they were and he was just trying to take care of a customer. I feel bad for a lot of customer service workers these days because their hands are so tied by some of these point of sale systems. He kept at it though and found a way to get the price down to what I would've paid if I'd just bought the 2 attractions a few weeks ago instead of 3. So again, huge shout out to Malcom for going the extra mile and overcoming a system he shouldn't have had to. We ended up having a fantastic day around Icon Park and I will share a separate post about how much fun we had with a test run at Ripley's Crazy Golf. I just really thought the customer service we received from Malcom was worth a post of it's own. A version of this review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.

This is a section you can spend only a little of your time in or it might be where you spend the bulk of your time. That likely depends on how many of the shops and restaurants you want to visit in the area. You may also be fans of the magical wands and making things move in the windows. I really enjoyed seeing the pages of the book come alive as well as several visitors, dressed in robes and other Harry Potter themed clothing. This is a fantastic spot for picture taking as well. It does get quite crowded in certain areas so hold onto your patience and enjoy the experience.

Its sole ride, Escape from Gringotts I gave two stars as I found it very lackluster compared to the two Potter themed thrill rides over at Islands of Adventure. But the theming in this section of the park is absolutely phenomenal and highly immersive enough to make this an easy 4 stars. The Knight Bus was fun enough for both my sister and I to get pictures by it with its friendly steward and his appropriate accent. I missed the low key entrance on our first go round. As I said I watched the movies in a cloud of smoke and didn't realize it was this secret fandom entrance/exit but the throngs passing through tipped us off. The greater density with everything packed so tightly together and its separation from the other themed areas of Universal Studios Florida makes this Potter themed area more impressive than its counterpart over at Islands of Adventure- even without a magnificent castle. The alleys, the shops, the hand painted signage, the dragon perched high shooting out that massive flame... I can only imagine how hard this hits if you're a Potter fanatic. And though Escape from Gringotts was pretty weak sauce in my estimation the queue and the theming before the ride experience was top notch. They really broke the bank on this, as with the great train ride in. Maybe if I ever go back I'll watch a Potter movie or two sober.
