It was just too crowded and the employees didnt want to be there. If my kids wrote this review it qould be 5 stars but Im the one that paid for 4 people and their fastpasses so my review is a bit different. The theming was spot on so shout out there. The Mario Kart ride had a broken headset and when I got off I didnt understand why I had to wear it but my family assured me it was "so cool!" So I alerted the staff that it was broken and they said "we know. You can ride again if you want." They wouldnt have brought it up if I hadn't alerted them so that made me feel bad about anyone who had actually waited 2 and a half hours and didnt think to mention it to staff that the headset was broken. The mine cart ride was cool but about 10 seconds on the ride the music stopped so that was just a little disappointing. The Yoshi ride had a fun and air conditioned line but the ride is supposed to be interactive and me and my son's buttons weren't working. It was just a bit frustrating that each ride had a little something that was broken after having spent sooo much money. Toadstool Cafe did have a vegan meat sandwich that was delicious though and my kids loved the DK barrel drink near the donkey Kong ride. read more

Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe is the kind of place that delivers on a premise that should not work as well as it does. I walked through the warp pipe entrance and into the land, and that was a genuine moment. The colors, sounds, and scale of everything around me hit immediately in a way that was hard to prepare for even though I knew what to expect. The attention to detail was remarkable, and the music threading through the entire area kept the immersion intact as I moved from one section to the next. Donkey Kong Mine Cart Madness is the ride to prioritize and the one that generates the most excitement in the land. I arrived at park open and went straight here, which was the right strategy as the wait times built quickly. Mario Kart is the other major attraction and delivers on the concept, with the Power Up Band integration adding a competitive layer that makes it more than just a passive ride experience. The Power Up Band is worth purchasing before entering the park if I want the full experience. It unlocks interactive elements and mini games scattered throughout the land that let me collect coins, hit question blocks, and track my score on the app. Without it I could still enjoy the rides and the theming, but a meaningful portion of what makes the land special is tied to having one. At around fifty dollars it is an added cost on top of an already expensive day, but for a Nintendo fan it justifies itself quickly. Weekday visits made a noticeable difference in wait times and gave me more room to engage with the interactive elements without feeling rushed. The land rewards people who slow down and explore rather than just moving through it as efficiently as possible, and there is enough packed into the space that I could spend a solid chunk of the day here without feeling like I had exhausted it. read more

We definitely felt dropped into a Mario Bros / Super Nintendo game or movie. The space, while small, is colorful and contain the elements you'd expect to see - Yoshi, boxes to hit for sounds and points, mushrooms, Bowser, etc. Even the gift shops are fun with their apparel and character accessories. (Did a Yoshi hat come home with us? Yes, yes it did.) This space will not be appreciated by everyone - not because we don't love Mario Bros but because it is small and full of people in every corner. It offers a few attractions and it is a huge commitment to stand in line for a short thrill. We did ride Bowser's ride. It allowed for single riders. It delays regularly though - in our case a cart had to be removed and replaced on the track. It involves a lot of technology the way the game is designed. Our family of 4 did not understand the game at all and how we even gathered points. Thankfully we didn't stand in line as long and wouldn't recommend anyone else does. Sadly the other rides were not part of our day due to the lengthy wait times and in the case of Donkey Kong, so backed up that the single rider line was closed. We witnessed a lot of happy kids running around and tapping question marked boxes. Even for my older teen / adult children they stood in the space and smiled while they took it in. Completely immersive and well designed, this place puts you right in the mind of the game makers. I met mario, I enjoyed all the rides, and I rocked that Power Up Band. If you are not familiar, the Power Up Band unlocks mini-games throughout the world. Once you complete all the mini-games, you can compete in a larger game against Bowser Jr. If you are a Nintendo person, this is a must! I had so much fun. Most of the Team Members were so helpful and participated with me since I was solo. Plus, up-punching the ? blocks for coins? Elite. Colorful, full of life and BUSY! This location is a Nintendo fan's dream, but be aware that everyone wants to visit. There are interactive areas, 3 rides, 1 hidden attraction, lots of food and character experiences and tons of photo-ops. Shoutout to the amazing Team Members with the characters, they have some serious crowd control jobs and offer great moments with Mario, Luigi, Peach and Yoshi. The Nintendo World is the most popular park in Epic Universe. They did such amazing job of making the whole space look exactly like the Nintendo World. There are several rides, games, cafe and shops in this park. It's multi level, so there are stairs and elevators available to go up and down. The most popular ride in here is the Yoshi Adventure. It's super popular. Wait time goes above 40 minutes within an hour of opening. The gift shop here is huge. It's heaven for Mario fans. It has an incredible collection of Nintendo and Mario merchandises. I spent so much time at this store checking out the hats, t-shirts, costumes, water bottles, notepads, figurines and all the different things. All things considered, this was my favorite part of Epic Universe. read more

Super Nintendo World is the place to be during the evening hours at Epic Universe. I grew up playing the regular Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Game Cube, N64 and other gaming consoles. I've been to the Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Hollywood, but during my Epic Universe visit on a Sunday in October, I had a chance to visit the Super Nintendo World in Orlando Florida. Super Nintendo World is one of the most immersive and interactive lands that I've ever gone to. As soon as you enter the green warp pipe, you're transported into the world of Super Nintendo. You'll see floating coins, Goombas, Piranha Plants, and a towering Peach's Castle. It makes you feel like you're inside the Mushroom Kingdom! The land has two major sections. The first is the Super Mario Land, which centers on two main attractions. There is the Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, which an augmented reality dark ride where riders race through Browser's Castle in a kart. You get to collect coins and dodge obstacles. You don't necessarily need to wear the VR visors on the ride if you get motion sickness though! The second ride is Yoshi's Adventure. It's a omnimover style attraction where riders cruise in a Yoshi shaped vehicle above the land, taking in views of the Mushroom Kingdom! The second area is the full Donkey Kong Country area. You can visit the Donkey Kong themed area with jungles, waterfalls, and landmarks from the video games like Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2. There is also the Golden Template! The key attraction in this area is the Mine Cart Madness. This ride is one of my favorite rides! It's a roller coaster that uses a boom coaster design. While you ride this ride, you'll see broken track, but the car is actually attached to a hidden track underneath. This creates the illusion of jumping gapes, just like in the video games! It's so cool! If you have the Power Up Band, the wearable wristband sold in the theme parks or at Universal City Walk, you can collect digital coins by hitting virtual blocks, playing mini games around the land, and even team up with others for a boss battle against Bowser Jr. A lot of these experiences are interactive which is great! There are a variety of shops and dining locations inside the Super Nintendo World. There is Toadstool's Cafe, Yoshi's Snack Island, and Turbo Boost Treats. For merchandise and collectibles you could visit stores like the 1 Up Factory and Mario Motors (After the Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge, you'll actually exit into Mario Motors). This is such a fun and interactive themed area. I was hoping to do a Meet and Greet with Donkey Kong, but unfortunately, there wasn't any availability. You could easily spend half a day inside Super Nintendo World. read more

DK Country was a must ride inside Super Nintendo world! Orlando's SNES world was WAY LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than Cali's! They had the room to make this area super dope for adults and children. There's full themed cafe's, drink stands like the Donkey Kong stand and bunch of mini games, costume actors / shows and just overall nostalgic. Kong's ride makes you feel like you were a part of the game! Worth it! Best thing in here! There's one part of the ride it looks like your mining cart jumps the track haha! Luckily lines were short when we went! We already did bowsers ride in cali, and was thoroughly disappointed so we opted to skip that one. Will have to try yoshi's ride next time read more

Go left when you come in -it's the first portal/world to the left past the Celestial Park carousel. The big portal is a cool green tube ride up in the escalators into this world - it's on an elevated second level (the lower level has restaurants, shops and meet & greets) - portraits of Princess Peach, etc. as it opens up into a beautifully designed portion of the park. A lot of play possibility with watches you buy in order to track your scores... hit the boxes, add to your scores in various minigames and boxes to hit everywhere, and other things that you can do increase your scores including go on rides, and a lot of people taking photos everywhere. Character meet and greets were very long lines. The rides were all super long lines... Mine Cart Madness, Yoshi's Adventure, and Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge were all over 200min when we visited. Single rider onto the Kart ride took more than an hour of waiting around with little to do since it skips the line. Only three rides in this area. Lots of merch, super fun little decor and photo ops, but really too many people for too few rides... get the Express pass if you want to ride everything in Epic especially this area which was busy from early open through close. read more

Oh yes! Besides visiting Florida for a wedding, the next most important thing was visiting Super Nintendo World! I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I had been that close and not gone. We were able to see quite a few things in Epic Universe but Super Nintendo was by far my favorite. If you've done Universal Anything, you know to arrive as they open. The same goes for Epic. If you only have a day or two, go to the world you most want to see, do it, and then visit the others. So upon arrival, I bought my Luigi hat and my Yoshi wristband and went on my way. The only disappointing thing about Nintendo world as it stands is that there's nothing Zelda or Pokémon related. Since the universes are so niche... I think this park will become even better as they add more. Right now, Nintendo fans go here. Harry Potter nerds go there. Horror/Monster peeps go to Dark Universe. And lastly, the How to Train Your Dragon fans are over there. So it's spread out but still very crowded. Pokémon would certainly split the crowds even more. The same for Zelda. Regarding Nintendo World, although I loved it! Like... really really REALLY LOVED IT! It was smaller than I expected. Lots of interactive things with this theme park and I need all of my theme parks to have an interactive gamified aspect now! It's odd to me that there are 2 to 3 rides in each universe. For Nintendo, those rides are Bowser's Castle/Mario Kart-Augmented reality game, Yoshi's Island(Kid ride but I as an adult love riding around the land in Yoshi's back!), and lastly, Minecart Madness which is part of the Donkey Kong world that offshoots from Nintendo. Mario Kart - It's so much fun but I do wish it had more straight stretches to zoom through the alternate reality. Most of the ride is spent in the cart looking around to obtain puzzle blocks to then push buttons to hit the augmented reality bad guys. Before the ride ends, you zoom down this straight stretch a little more like you're racing in Mario Kart. 90% of the ride you don't feel like you're racing at all. It's still a ton of fun... especially with earning points/badges with your wristband. The design of this is simply amazing. Whoever put it together did a great job. It looks just like you are in Mario. The castle even has the photos on the walls, like N64 Mario where you jump in the photo for that world. There are 3 rides here. The Yoshi ride is cute, DK is a small roller-coaster (very fun), and Mario Cart, where it's like you are playing the game. They have the music playing, gold blocks, etc within this area. I would say the person who would enjoy this best is a big mario world fan, the park is visually striking and almost feels too good to be true when you walk in. it's very photogenic and really captures the theme park feeling. the negative is that the rides are pretty lackluster and have long wait times. they do a good job of keeping the lines in shade and air conditioning but it will be a long wait, and many of them are VR or lazy river type rides. overall it's worth it just for the scenery but i wouldn't come looking for a coaster. read more

I always liked Nintendo- I grew up playing the old plug-in games on a fat tv, then was obsessed with the Nintendo DS, and have now started learning the ways of the switch. But I still never realized quite how magical an actual Nintendo World theme park would be. The great attention to detail in this pair is astounding (really, in all of Epic Universe, but Nintendo World in specific really made my inner kid heart so proud). It is overstimulation central with so much going on, but it's also such a dream. So many moving parts, bright colors, interactive spots and pure fun. There are a lot of steps to go up and down between walking around the area and in the ride queues. There are 3 rides in this world- Yoshi's Adventure, which is a chill kind of tour of the park, a virtual Mario Kart ride/ race, and Mine-Cart Madness, Donkey Kong's famed roller coaster. Every part of this part is just awesome. Something extra special is you can also buy interactive wristbands for Nintendo World- they work kind of like how wands work in Harry Potter land. It's really all a lot of fun and so great for the kids, and adults that are kids at heart. read more

I visited Nintendo World during the technical rehearsals, and it was amazing! Even though a few attractions were still closed, there were plenty of character meet-and-greets, and the main ride was incredibly interactive. The whole area is so immersive; it really feels like stepping into a video game! There isn't much shade, so be prepared for sun or rain. The wait time for Mario Kart was pretty long, but the ride itself was a lot of fun (though a bit tricky to figure out at first). At no point in my life did I ever think there would truly be a Nintendo land. There's a lot to do and see in here, even if you don't buy the Power-Up band. ( Just watch others with it ) Mine Cart Madness is now in my top 10 rides from all theme parks, ever. It does all the things you once thought "Wouldn't it be cool if..." but dismissed the idea because it's couldn't possibly happen. ...but they did it anyways. The escalator reveal was pretty impressive. Day or night this area is great but... Night. Yeah, definitely see it at night. read more

Super Nintendo World is one of the portals in the new Universal Orlando theme park Epic Universe. It officially opened May 22, 2025 but we were lucky to get a preview as annual passholder. This portal is based on the Nintendo World, the video games you might have played as a child. They brink you directly into the world of Nintendo. Inside you will find 3 rides, a few food stands, a quick service restaurant, an area to play games (if you purchased the wristband) and meet and greets. For me, this is my least favorite portal since I did not play Nintendo Games as much as others when I was little. I unfortunately did not appreciate it as much as others who are very well versed in these games and world would enjoy. I also do not like how loud and compacted it is. It is also extremely hot, since it is so packed, there is no room for a breeze. My other issue is in order to play the games, you must purchase one of Universal's wristbands. It allows more interactive games and experiences in this area. It allows you to level up your band, use them on one of the rides and even get into a special area that you can only go in if you have a band. They will not even allow you to walk inside that area without a band. I really dislike this aspect of the area. I understand marketing and Universal wants their money but this area is just ok unless you buy the $40 wristband. If you have kids, I'm sure you would need to buy one for each child. My other issue with this portal is the sheer number of stairs. To enter the portal, you will take an elevator up and then once inside, you are on the second floor. Every ride has stairs, and you need to go up and down to get to the other level. If you are upstairs, you have to go downstairs to use the restroom. We were exhausted going up and down. There is an elevator, but only one. There is also only 1 restroom in the portal. What I really enjoy about this area is the colors and the immersion. Universal does an amazing job of bringing you into the Nintendo world. I would say if you are a fan of Nintendo, this is going to be your favorite portal. They have 3 rides, one is a slow moving ride designed for kids, Yoshi's Adventure. Its cute but not the best, review for that has already been posted. They also have Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge which is a game you play in your car that will spin you, this has a height requirement of 40 inches. The last ride is in the back of the portal, in the Donkey Kong area, Mine-Cart Madness with a height requirement of 40 inches. This is a super fun short roller-coaster making you feel like you jump the track. Overall not my favorite, it's extremely hot and as Florida starts to cook, it is going to get warmer, its loud and its compact and crowded. In order to fully experience this land and everything it has, you need to buy one of the power up bands (extra cost) as well. However, it is super colorful and if you played these games, it is bringing you right back into that world. When we return to Epic, I would go back, however, it wouldn't be my top priority and if I missed the portal then I would also be ok. But everyone should check it out for themselves. read more

Best theming of any place anywhere. Yes, even better than Harry Potter. When it rains like it did when I visited, there isn't much to do as all, but 3 rides shut down. The only 3 rides open in the rain are: Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge However, ALL of the Super Nintendo mini games stay open!!! I have a blast getting soaked in the rain for 4 hours. I could tap in at any of the 5 Bowser Jr key games and tap in again, again, and again without anyone waiting to play next. Here are the 5 Bowser Jr key games ranked from easiest to hardest: #1 Koopa Troopa Power Punch - The easiest of the 5 games. If you're on easy mode, hit the block right before the green shell goes into the tube. If you're on hard mode hit the shell right before it hits the outside wall. You'll know you're on hard mode if when you tap in you'll hear a Bowser Jr. laugh. #2 Goomba Crazy Crank - 2nd easiest game. Crank that wheel as fast as you can. It's a work out. #3 Thwomp Panel Panic - 3rd easiest game. Flip the panels from blue to yellow to win the key. #4 Bob-omb Kaboom Room - 2nd hardest game. Touch the bomb key pieces on tv screens around the bomb. Then, put the bomb key puzzle together before time runs out. #5 Piranha Plant Nap Mishap - By far the hardest game. Here's the key: You MUST put all your weight into hitting the blue stop watch timer. You can't tap it or punch it with your fist. You literally, need to jump and use your weight to push it down. Otherwise the game won't register that you stopped the clock and you will lose. Once I figured that out it was a lot easier. However, if you play this game by yourself you're going to be out of breath and will still probably lose. This is a game you definitely don't want to do by yourself. Overall, a super fun area, and great spots for pics! read more

If you have ever played Super Mario or watched any of the shows or entertainment, Universal made every effort effort to recreate this world and make it immersion from the interactive exhibits, to food, and entertainment. This world and Universal Epic Universe is a must see. Be aware that if you want to get through all immersive worlds in one day, you have to buy the fast pass on top of the general admission ticket to get through all of the rides in each world. read more

Super Nintendo World is just as pretty as the pictures and videos I've seen online. You really will feel like you are in a whole different world as you are completely immersed in a Nintendo World. There were a couple of different rides here. We chose the Mario Kart ride. The wait was pretty long. I think we waited about 1.5 hours. Although they did give instructions while we waited on how to secure your visor, there were no instructions on how to actually play the game and what the targets were. There were two buttons on the controller that shot targets when they came up on the screen, but I didn't know what I was supposed to be shooting at. I think an education on how to play the game would have been beneficial while riders wait in line. read more

If you are a Mario fan, like we are then this is a must go to. It recently opened in May, soooo yes there are long wait times, but honestly it was worth it. Entering felt just like being in the game! It was so much fun and exciting. The wait for Mario Kart ride was almost three hours. It said 140 minutes BUT during the wait the ride got "delayed" which added on more time. Good thing you are in the Bowser castle so we were out of heat and in a well shaded air conditioner building, which made it easier to wait. During the walk through to the ride there is plenty to see and enjoy. The ride itself was awesome. We rode together so one drove and one did the shooting and gathering coins. You wear virtual googles so you can see flash in front of you the coins you are collecting, shots made and stars received. Like I said if truly a Mario fan, this is very much enjoyable. We also were able to go to Yoshi adventure, which was a laid back ride, where you sit in a Yoshi cart and go through the building enjoying everything Yoshi. This ride is high up and at several points you got a beautiful view of the entire Mario world..we dined at the Toadstool cafe. This was a cute cafe. You order from the app, enter the cafe get seated and they bring your food. Wait time was not long at all. The inside was everything Toad world. There were TV screens which kind of mimic Gordan Ramsey hell kitchen where you see toads cooking the food. We went with the Browers spicy challenge. This was a huge meatball topped with tons of melted cheese and a spicy marinara sauce and a side of hot sauce. It came with a bread side which was imprint with browsers face. It was delicious. Then the hubs had a piece of Mt. beanpole cake. This cake was three layers, chocolate, vanilla and strawberry topped with a matcha mousse. He enjoyed it. Overall a great experience. read more

After 3-4 hrs on the line, the Express pass is the best option for this ride. This ride is similar to Buzz Light Yr, your are In The scene of Mario Kart and shoot your opponents. On the line you explore 5 different rooms of Bowser's castle . The Yoshi ride is nice, a tour around Yoshi's land . 45 min on line. Sometimes it breaks down the ride. Donkey Kong I like the best. 2-3 hrs on the line , a fast roller coaster , in a pyramid setting. . All new souvenirs items at the shops. read more

My favorite world of the 5 that exists in Epic Universe. Huge fan of Mario and the world is soo well built, it's like being in the OG Mario Bros video game. From the portal entrance, you go up the escalator, which imitate traveling through the green pipes, and you come out right in the smack middle of Super Mario Land. Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge is a unique 3D ride experience while Yoshi's Adventure is more for the little ones and you get a scenic view of Super Mario Land. Tucked in the back is Donkey Kong Country, where you'd only find yourself there if you're really insistent on riding the Mine-Cart Madness. I'd recommend doing this ride first as it's a super popular ride with long waits and it shuts down with just literally a drop of rain. read more

I grew up with the Nintendo characters, and we still play Mario Kart to this day. When we visited Universal EPIC Universe, Super Nintendo World was at the top of my list. We stayed et a Universal Hotel and arrived an hour early to the park, even then there was quite a line at the opening of the park. We ran to Nintendo World and did the line for Super Mario Kart, it was a great interpretation of the game. Part VR ride, part animatronics, it was one of our favorite ride in the entire Epic Universe. Yoshi was a slow for Children, and DK was a clever take on a mine kart ride with broken tracks and fun music. The love and attention to the decorations, characters, and merchandise is evident. If you or your kids like these characters, I highly recommend Super Nintendo World when visiting Epic Universe. Now... if we could get. This world in Epic Universe is a sensory nightmare, but if you're prepared for it it's an amazing experience. Be aware there are a lot of stairs but there are elevators to travel between the two levels and inside of the rides if needed. Lots of kinetic energy! You don't need to be a mega fan of Nintendo to still have a good time. Check out the little details around the land, and the multiple character meet & greets. My husband and I loved the entrance "warp pipe". Be sure to go all the way to Donkey Kong Country, and check out the entire land at night! read more

One of the more funner worlds at epic universe. It definitely gets crowded as it tends to be a fan favorite among the younger crowds/children, however was still very enjoyable. Was unable to ride the Yoshi ride, but the Bowser race car ride was so fun because you really felt as if you were in a video game but can definitely feel a bit overstimulating. also think that this world has the most unique portal and feels as though you are actually being teleported. read more

You will love Super Nintendo World if you've ever enjoyed a Mario game on any Nintendo gaming console or if you enjoy the Mario universe or are a kid at heart. Oh, your kids will probably love it as well. My family and I have been to the Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios in Hollywood, Los Angeles previously, but we still enjoyed Super Nintendo World in Epic Universe immensely as well. We chose the Mario Kart ride as our first ride as we had early access and it was a great start to a fabulous day at Epic Universe. Bathrooms in this area are a little tricky to find in Super Nintendo World though, so just be wary of that. 5 stars easily and two thumbs up! Let's go! read more

The new Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe had good attractions. With my favorite being Bowser's Challenge. The only reason for fast 4 stars is because, the way express lane works is different from DisneyWorld. The lines were extremely long, but it can also be because it's a new attraction. read more
