My first time doing an escape room, and it was a good time. Definitely a good way to spend an hour or so.

My most recent experience maybe wasn't 5 star but it was a one off. My partner wrote a really strong review with all the concerns and the owners actually responded and rectified the issues so I won't waste your time re-hashing fixed things. One of my fav things about this location is that the hints don't hurt your time/ability to get out. It makes it more fun. I also really like the lobby. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're in something Sherlock Holmes adjacent and that feels fun. Plus this location is on I-drive but not THAT part of I-drive. (Iykyk)

We did Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express and escaped with less than minutes to spare--talk about adrenaline! The theming was incredible from start to finish. The puzzles were challenging but fun, the music set the perfect mood, and the decor truly made us feel like we were inside the story. Everything was so immersive and well thought out. On top of that, the employees were super friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which really elevated the whole experience. We had so much fun that as soon as we finished, we were already talking about wanting to do another room. Highly recommend for birthdays, group outings, or just a fun night out--10/10 would escape again! ‍

Our game master, Jamie, made sure that we were taken care of for the first four rooms. Crazy Train and Captain Spoopy Bones were the stand out experiences for us but honestly, ALL of their rooms are solid puzzle experiences that will tickle the brain and provide that interactive and comedic "Spoopy" element. She also heard that we were from out of town and she took the time to get to know us and our plans for the rest of the week that we were there. A big part of escape rooms are also the photos and she got us photos within the escape rooms and in their lobby! This was so appreciated. At this point, we have done over 200+ rooms and there is always a special place in my heart for mom and pop escape rooms like Doldrick's. We got to meet Rick (the Rick from Dold-Rick) and we got to hear about his passion for the storyline, the scenes, and professionalism. If we are ever back in Orlando/Kissimmee and a new room has opened up, we will definitely pay you all a visit. Highly recommend this escape room location to younger kids and seasoned enthusiasts alike.

Before I could get here my daughter got to experience the Void Ghostbuster experience in Times Square which she absolutely loved. I finally found some time to go to Disney Springs and off we went. It was incredibly easy to book the tickets on my phone on the day I decided to go. I bought my tickets right before heading over and there were still plenty left. When you look online you can see how many tickets are left for each time slot. Two adult tickets came to a hefty $78. We actually ended up arriving early and they took us in right away. First you fill out a waver on a computer and then they print you out a wristband with your rebel name. You can't take pictures inside but the cast members offered to take a picture of us before we went in. From there it was on to the preview show where you scan your wrist band and select your storm trooper color so you can recognize each other in the experience. Since there were only the two of us they let us know that they could pair us up with other people but it never happened. We were taken into the suit up area where we put on a back pack with a gaming computer and the Oculus Rift VR display helmet. There are a lot of belts, straps, and knobs to turn but they do a good job of talking you through each step. You should turn the helmet as tight as you can in order to be able to see the best. I was afraid the gear was going to be heavy but that was not the case. As we put on the equipment I could hear screams from all of the rooms around me. Finally we were taken to the door of of the experience. We had one last check to make sure we could hear, see, and touch. As soon as I flipped my helmet visor down I was in the Star Wars universe 100 percent. I looked at my daughter and she was a storm trooper. I raised my hand to my face and it was the hand of a storm trooper. We were then ushered into the first door and it was on. Our mission was to retrieve some item for the rebels from the Empire. It seemed to follow the Rogue One story line with K-2SO guiding you along. There was a kind of escape room component to the game where we had to figure out how to get out of the rooms in different ways. Finally we got to a room with blasters which we were able to pick up. When we were stuck in one room I just blasted the door open in Han Solo fashion. During the game you have to shoot storm troopers and navigate lava and you can actually feel the heat. When I got shot I could feel a buzzing in my vest. At one point I was holding off storm troopers while my daughter tried to figure out a light sequence in order to open the door so we could escape. The final confrontation with Darth Vader was terrifying. I wish I had spent more time looking up and down instead of just straight ahead. The helmet was a bit cumbersome and sometimes I couldn't see unless I pushed the visor to my face which is difficult to do when you are shooting. It's a minor criticism and this was still the coolest thing I have ever done at Disney. The entire play experience lasted 15 minutes but it was intense and worth the price of admission. After you finish they take pictures of you in the VR gear and you can purchase them for $15 each including the print and a digital download. It turns out that I don't look all that good trussed up like a Thanksgiving turkey so I passed. The void helmet doesn't do any favors to your hair and makeup. I was a sweaty damp mess when I got everything off. I sure hope they clean them. This was the most fun thing I have ever done at Disney and that is saying a lot. I hope this is the future of theme parks. This would definitely fall under Disney's been there haven't done that mantra. If you are in the area don't miss it!
