We stopped by Will To Escape and played Cinema 7! It was a great time. The room had a fun, creepy ambiance that kept us engaged from beginning to end without relying on jump scares. Our game master did an excellent job of setting us up before the game started. He clearly explained what to expect, pointed out anything that could potentially slow us down, and made sure we could focus on enjoying the experience instead of getting stuck on avoidable mistakes. The location is right in the heart of International Drive, so it's easy why they get so much foot traffic from tourists like me! It is also a fun option for locals looking for something different to do. Whether you're visiting Orlando or live nearby, Will to Escape is worth adding to your list if you're looking for a fun escape room experience. We definitely want to come back to try their Disappearance room, but it was completely booked out when we went. It's a popular spot and I wish them all the success. read more

We did the stolen relic room. I like how immersive the room was. We needed a little bit of help along the way but ended up getting out in 35 minutes. We've done a few Escape rooms so we did pretty well with this one. Everything made sense in the room and the people who ran the room were really fun. If you're in the area checking out point Orlando, I would definitely recommend adding this onto the list of things to do. I plan on going back with some friends to try one of their other rooms soon. read more

Went to this escape room with my work folks for a team building. This is the third escape room I have been to in Orlando and I really enjoyed it. The place is located in Pointe Orlando. We picked this Relic room that had an Indiana Jones like description. It was really creative. The staff was really nice. I usually find these things stressful and so hard. So we have done escape rooms before and they are always fun. Will to Escape is located at Pointe Orlando on the first floor across from Main Event. We have done many escape rooms before, but this location was new for us. We found this location because we heard there was a Christmas Story escape room. I googled it and bam, Will to Escape. I booked the four of us online. I was concerned before; I do not like to do rooms with other people not in my group. I called ahead of time and was told that the room will only be ours. The minimum they require is 2 per room except for one of their rooms, they require 3. So, I booked us online for our group of 4. It was really an easy process. I looked for coupons and groupons but didn't find any. This location is on International Drive at Pointe Orlando. There is a parking garage which you will have to pay to park and there is also valet that opens at 5pm. We usually do valet because we like to get drinks at Pointe Orlando, but our reservation was at 4 so no valet yet. The parking garage has plenty of parking, just go up a few levels. The spots are VERY narrow as well. Be prepared. Once we went inside, we were greeted by Andrew, one of the best guides we have ever had. He was so welcoming, explained their history. They have only been open for 3 months; they have another location in Jupiter which has different rooms. You have to sign waivers which can be done electronically on your phone. After that they bring you to the lockers to put your items way. These lockers were neat in that they had cell phone chargers in them. They locker with key that you carry with you. He then took us to our room. We chose the Christmas Story escape room, and I don't want to give too much away but if you like this movie and the story, then you will adore this room. You are literally standing in the living room and are immediately immersed in the movie. I cannot give much away without spoiling but make sure to look everywhere, touch everything, look up and look down. Open your mind and if you have an idea, try it. The nice thing about this escape room is that you get unlimited clues without affecting your time, they will also ask if you want a nudge if you are getting behind. We had around 17 minutes left when we escaped. That was probably our best time yet! I will say that I am used to moving through multiple rooms within the escape room, but this is not the case. You are primarily in one room, there was a small room that we used but we did not move into new rooms. This was my only disappointment, but I still loved it. After we escaped, they take your picture for their website which they email to you and will also use your own phone or camera. They have additional rooms including: The Gate, The Stolen Relic, Sector X, and The Terminal. I really like this escape game because it really puts you into the story. Christmas Story is a classic and we were right there. We all needed each other to get through the tasks and puzzles. You need to use your mind. I would definitely recommend this for a double date, team building or family fun day and then go grab drinks and dinner after. We cannot wait to go back! read more

We did the alien-themed escape room, huge fans of Aliens and other sci-fi genre films. We spent the first portion of time thinking we'd have to do one task only to end up learning we were focused on the wrong thing. So the order in which these elements are don wasn't clear. Additionally some of the effects weren't working well and had to do with progression and the aesthetic that did work was sometimes confusing or detracting. Unfortunately we felt that this room was not to the level or standards we'd expect from an escape game on International Drive. We've done a ton of escape rooms so maybe we are more accustomed to a well thought out room with clean aesthetics that enhance and not diminish the experience? read more

I recently played a game at the Pointe Orlando location on a whim while walking by. I asked what games were still open for the evening, and was given an option between the Christmas Story and another. The woman at the desk was nice enough to hold the room for a minute for my sister to join me (although, when she arrived, we still waited another 10 minutes with no heads up as to why but the staff was pleasant when we finally got started). We were a team of two and we played the Stolen Relic game after being warned that it was the hardest game at the location. I enjoyed the fact that this was a multi-room game and an overall good archeological theme. I also really loved the fact that the lockers required to put away your purse and cellphone actually had chargers in it with two types of USB ends. After a long night out, this helped a lot to come back to a charged phone. Lastly, we were able to "escape" in the end with only a couple seconds remaining but I suspect that because we were about to solve, they actually let us run over by a minute or so. Good way to end the experience on a positive note. We had a couple of dislikes in the room that I will say without spoiling. At one point, we had solved one lock and entered the right code and both of us tried to open the lock and failed. We puttered around for a bit trying to figure out what we missed before the GM tried to "help" us but realized that we did already solve it but just needed to pull harder to open. This makes me think that they either happened to walk away at that moment or else one GM must be monitoring multiple rooms. Near the end, there was an auditory puzzle that I knew how to solve but had difficulty hearing and seeing, which turned a neat puzzle into a time suck (the GM did try to rectify this after quite some time of frustration). Although I enjoyed the experience and would be interested in seeing what their other rooms are like, I'm not sure how I feel about recommending this room to others as I would not call this one of the best games in Orlando. The good mix of puzzle types and solid theme but lack of flow would land this in a mid-tier category for me. It's probably a good game to play if you are not an avid enthusiast or if you are an experienced player that wants another local game under your belt. read more

My wife, myself, and our close friends, consider ourselves escape room nerds. We have visited almost all of them in the Orlando area. Last night all of us arrived at Pointe Orlando, to hit our favorite places for drinks. As we were walking to our destination, we came across the Will to Escape. This is located across from Main Event. As we entered we spoke with one of the employees at the front desk, I believe his name is Andrew. He gave us a detailed rundown of Will to Escape. They have one other location in Jupiter, Fl with different escape room from the Orlando location. The room we decided to do is a Christmas Story, which is based off the movie. After all of us were done signing the waivers, Andrew walked us over to the lockers area. These lockers were a little different from other escape rooms we've been to. In addition to placing your items inside, you can actually charge your cell phone inside. Once our locker was secure, Andrew walked us to our room. At the Will to Escape you will have 60 minutes to escape, you can have an unlimited amount of clues without receiving a penalty. Andrew asked us if we would want a nudge, if a lot of time has elapsed and we haven't processed. We of course said yes, please do that . I don't want to give away too much about this room. All I will say is that having common knowledge of the Christmas Story, might be a good thing. Aside from the Christmas Story, here's the other rooms. -Orlando location: *The Gate: The hidden door to an Egyptian tomb was unearthed during a top secret excavation project. We've learned the tomb is a gateway to a ancient curse that will unleash darkness upon the world if released. To protect humanity, a clandestine military organization built a device that deploys a barrier around the gate.  The device is the only thing that protects the world from the powers that lie beyond this realm. But, the device can't hold*The Stolen Relic: Legend has it.....A temple located deep in the jungles of Malaysia housed a legendary relic with special powers. This relic has been worshiped by its people for thousands of years. Recently, the relic went missing and chaos ensued amongst the people. We went with another couple who we frequently do escape rooms with. We have done quite a few in Orlando. This location is at Pointe Orlando and in the plaza with The Main Event. Upon entering Will to Escape we were greeted by Andrew, our game host. We were there to do A Christmas Story and he gave us some great insight on this room. He was telling us the owners have the actual leg lamp from the movie! How cool is that? The lockers to place your belongings were great. They actually have phone chargers inside the lockers. This is the first escape room facility that I have seen that. Now - since I can't give to much info away, I have to say this room is in my top 3. Walking in felt like you were in the actual living room. I loved it! We did escape with over 17 minutes to spare. I highly recommend checking them out. I went to Will to Escape this weekend with my wife and 2 of our friends and we did the Christmas Story escape room and it was absolutely fabulous!! The design reminded us a lot of the movie. When we got there Andrew was behind the counter and he was very pleasant and told us a lot of history about the room. I recently enjoyed playing Stolen Relic here. We had to come after having such an amazing experience at their Jupiter location. The overall experience was fun with a great ambiance, although the office setting inherently tends lean towards "standard" puzzles. You won't find next gen, mind-blowing moments here, but I would still recommend giving them a shot. Will to Escape is perfect for tourists or families looking for some fun outside of the theme parks. Even more so given its prime location. Pointe Orlando has plenty of restaurants and entertainment for before, after, or in-between games. While all the puzzles do make sense, a few were slightly frustrating or sometimes lacking flow. Without spoiling the room, an example of an annoying moment was near the end when I struggled with reading some information due to being a tad short as well as had difficulty hearing the corresponding details. We had "solved" the puzzle in that we knew what to do to get the answer and how to use the answer but were having difficulties obtaining the information to leverage. The GMs, however, are there to help overcome such challenges, making the experience more enjoyable. The employees can make or break a room. Despite the hiccups, I fully intend to come back and finish off the rest of their games. Additionally, I delayed this review by two weeks due to an unresolved issue: we never received our team picture. That is the reason for 3 stars. As an escape room enthusiast, I use game photos to help keep track and remember the rooms (shout out to the Morty app). I have played over 100 all over the world, including almost every game in the Orlando area, and for this to be one of the few that not only never sent it but also ghosted me when I followed up is pretty unacceptable. read more

We had such a good time and needed to redeem ourselves on Monday with Trevor. The rooms are detailed, the staff is great, super helpful, and stayed in character with our clues. We did another escape room recently and it couldn't match or come close to Will To Escape. The next time we're around, we'll definitely go back. read more

the owner called me when I was booking a room to admonish me for talking about other escape rooms "trying to influence other people". I canceled my room and the owner came on the speaker (after the waiting room was clear) to continue admonishing me, not tace to face there are better escape rooms out there. it is time for owner to retire or sell the business. read more

This is the worst escape room we have ever done. To begin with, we walk in and they started to give us an unwelcoming attitude. The workers did not greet us. They made us put our phones away in a locker. The lady sounded really rude when she found out that someone in our group had to keep their phone with them because of business reasons. We have done around 100 escape rooms and this is the only one where we weren't allowed to have our phones with us. During our escape room, we asked for clues and then the people giving us the clues sounded like they didn't want to give us clues and all of the clues were very vague. Our room was so hot as the AC was not on whatsoever. This place is so overpriced for what you get. I DO NOT recommend going here ever. read more

One of the WORST escape room experiences in Orlando. I've done quite a few and this has been by the far the worst, due to the staff. We showed up and did not feel welcome at all. We felt like we were a nuisance. They were rude, short, and smug. The stayed behind their desk (sat down) and shouted out to us to pay for an additional member we brought. Then during the game, the clues were vague. It seemed like they didn't want us there and therefore they didn't want to help. At the end (to which we didn't finish) they asked if we had questions and we asked how the rest of the room played out to which the reply was "yeah there's a lot more" and we asked how and they just say "a lot". At that point we left cause we didn't feel comfortable or welcome. Go anywhere else. Go to The Escape Game down the street. They have amazing customer service and way better quality games. You won't be disappointed there but you WILL be here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more
