    Team building !

Went to this escape room with my work folks for a team building. This is the third escape room I have been to in Orlando and I really enjoyed it. The place is located in Pointe Orlando. We picked this Relic room that had an Indiana Jones like description. It was really creative. The staff was really nice. I usually find these things stressful and so hard. This one was hard but our awesome guide Zack gave us as many hints as we wanted. With his help.. we made it out with 6 min to spare. What a fun time.

So we have done escape rooms before and they are always fun. Will to Escape is located at Pointe Orlando on the first floor across from Main Event. We have done many escape rooms before, but this location was new for us. We found this location because we heard there was a Christmas Story escape room. I googled it and bam, Will to Escape. I booked the four of us online. I was concerned before; I do not like to do rooms with other people not in my group. I called ahead of time and was told that the room will only be ours. The minimum they require is 2 per room except for one of their rooms, they require 3. So, I booked us online for our group of 4. It was really an easy process. I looked for coupons and groupons but didn't find any. This location is on International Drive at Pointe Orlando. There is a parking garage which you will have to pay to park and there is also valet that opens at 5pm. We usually do valet because we like to get drinks at Pointe Orlando, but our reservation was at 4 so no valet yet. The parking garage has plenty of parking, just go up a few levels. The spots are VERY narrow as well. Be prepared. Once we went inside, we were greeted by Andrew, one of the best guides we have ever had. He was so welcoming, explained their history. They have only been open for 3 months; they have another location in Jupiter which has different rooms. You have to sign waivers which can be done electronically on your phone. After that they bring you to the lockers to put your items way. These lockers were neat in that they had cell phone chargers in them. They locker with key that you carry with you. He then took us to our room. We chose the Christmas Story escape room, and I don't want to give too much away but if you like this movie and the story, then you will adore this room. You are literally standing in the living room and are immediately immersed in the movie. I cannot give much away without spoiling but make sure to look everywhere, touch everything, look up and look down. Open your mind and if you have an idea, try it. The nice thing about this escape room is that you get unlimited clues without affecting your time, they will also ask if you want a nudge if you are getting behind. We had around 17 minutes left when we escaped. That was probably our best time yet! I will say that I am used to moving through multiple rooms within the escape room, but this is not the case. You are primarily in one room, there was a small room that we used but we did not move into new rooms. This was my only disappointment, but I still loved it. After we escaped, they take your picture for their website which they email to you and will also use your own phone or camera. They have additional rooms including: The Gate, The Stolen Relic, Sector X, and The Terminal. I really like this escape game because it really puts you into the story. Christmas Story is a classic and we were right there. We all needed each other to get through the tasks and puzzles. You need to use your mind. I would definitely recommend this for a double date, team building or family fun day and then go grab drinks and dinner after. We cannot wait to go back!

A great escape room company. We loved the Relic, Andrew and team did a great job guiding us. The relic was AWESOME. It went very well for our experienced group of 6, everyone participated and enjoyed the puzzles and theme.

My wife, myself, and our close friends, consider ourselves escape room nerds. We have visited almost all of them in the Orlando area. Last night all of us arrived at Pointe Orlando, to hit our favorite places for drinks. As we were walking to our destination, we came across the Will to Escape. This is located across from Main Event. As we entered we spoke with one of the employees at the front desk, I believe his name is Andrew. He gave us a detailed rundown of Will to Escape. They have one other location in Jupiter, Fl with different escape room from the Orlando location. The room we decided to do is a Christmas Story, which is based off the movie. After all of us were done signing the waivers, Andrew walked us over to the lockers area. These lockers were a little different from other escape rooms we've been to. In addition to placing your items inside, you can actually charge your cell phone inside. Once our locker was secure, Andrew walked us to our room. At the Will to Escape you will have 60 minutes to escape, you can have an unlimited amount of clues without receiving a penalty. Andrew asked us if we would want a nudge, if a lot of time has elapsed and we haven't processed. We of course said yes, please do that . I don't want to give away too much about this room. All I will say is that having common knowledge of the Christmas Story, might be a good thing. Aside from the Christmas Story, here's the other rooms. -Orlando location: *The Gate: The hidden door to an Egyptian tomb was unearthed during a top secret excavation project. We've learned the tomb is a gateway to a ancient curse that will unleash darkness upon the world if released. To protect humanity, a clandestine military organization built a device that deploys a barrier around the gate.  The device is the only thing that protects the world from the powers that lie beyond this realm. But, the device can't hold*The Stolen Relic: Legend has it.....A temple located deep in the jungles of Malaysia housed a legendary relic with special powers. This relic has been worshiped by its people for thousands of years. Recently, the relic went missing and chaos ensued amongst the people. Information about the accused thief led to the home of a crazed anthropologist *Sector X: A secret mission was created to study new life across the universe. You were chosen as the science officer. You are assigned to the research lab aboard the Orion Space Station and have been collection specimens from across the universe in hopes of understanding extraterrestrial life. In a turn of events, a malfunction occurred in the containment chamber and a new species of alien life has escaped!! *The Terminal: You are the foreman of a New York City maintenance crew working during a busy tourist weekend. The subway system is running at maximum capacity and you're working hard to keep things working smoothly. BUT, a blackout in the city has ensued chaos on the lines all over Manhattan and a runaway train is careening at full speed towards the Brooklyn terminal. -Jupiter location: *Innocence: The year is 1935 and you have been convicted of a crime you didn't commit. While being process at the maximum-security prison for a life sentence, a guard tells you that the warden has framed you and that evidence of his cover-up is still in his office* Whippleton's Manor: An eccentric professor is famous for his world travels and vast collection of amazing oddities from far-away lands. It's even rumored that some of the artifacts possess mystical powers that can cure sadness in anyone. Many people have tried to get access to this collection with little success and some have even disappeared without a trace* Subemergency: You are the captain of your nation's top nuclear submarine.  A group of assailants has managed to take control of the sub and crew.  Now you're captive on your own submarine in enemy territory!  The enemy forces left, but not before activating the self destruction sequence and placing hidden traps throughout the boat. Time is not on your side!  You have one hour to disarm the nuclear vessel and save your crew or pay the consequences*The Morgue: Area locals have reported bone chilling screams coming from an old, abandoned morgue on the edge of town. You are the investigators called to look into the situation.  All in all it was truly a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this for a family, birthday party or team building. Aces!

We went with another couple who we frequently do escape rooms with. We have done quite a few in Orlando. This location is at Pointe Orlando and in the plaza with The Main Event. Upon entering Will to Escape we were greeted by Andrew, our game host. We were there to do A Christmas Story and he gave us some great insight on this room. He was telling us the owners have the actual leg lamp from the movie! How cool is that? The lockers to place your belongings were great. They actually have phone chargers inside the lockers. This is the first escape room facility that I have seen that. Now - since I can't give to much info away, I have to say this room is in my top 3. Walking in felt like you were in the actual living room. I loved it! We did escape with over 17 minutes to spare. I highly recommend checking them out. We will be back to check out the other rooms.

    Can't wait!!

I went to Will to Escape this weekend with my wife and 2 of our friends and we did the Christmas Story escape room and it was absolutely fabulous!! The design reminded us a lot of the movie. When we got there Andrew was behind the counter and he was very pleasant and told us a lot of history about the room. He was very engaging and it really got us hyped to play the room, and we finished with plenty of time!! We will be definitely be going back again in the near future!!

We were looking for something to do on a Friday night, searched online for a "good" escape room to go to and this one was Awesome! We did the Lost Relic. It was challenging but so much fun!

We were lucky enough that no one else booked the room with us so it was a private experience. The room itself was really immersive and looked like different scenes. However, some of the puzzles didn't really make sense and didn't link up properly. So we didn't really know what we were supposed to do. Also, I was really surprised to see that they had regular locks in the escape room. I've been to other local rooms that have more high-tech to the rooms. They also have a deal where if you do one room and decided to a second room on the same day you get 50% off. So we decided to do the Jurassic Park room as well and we actually preferred the Back of the Future room. The Jurassic Park room was also very immersive but some of the challenges were repeated. It seems like you only get a certain amount of time in each room and then they move you to the next one. So even though we did end the Jurassic Park room 12 minutes early, we didn't get all of the puzzles because we were pushed to the next room. I personally didn't really like the way they set things up but if you haven't done escape rooms before and you really like the movies it would be fun to do these rooms. However, we've done most of the escape rooms in Orlando, so we're a bit more experienced so it wasn't really up to par for us.

We arrived a little early for our escape room, so we were happy to wait in the lobby. Unfortunately, they kept us waiting at least 10 minutes beyond our scheduled start time and then passed us off between several different team members. We stood in the lobby for an additional 5 minutes after they told us they were finally ready for us. This made for a fully disorganized first impression and also caused our group to feel like an afterthought. Our game master also forgot to give us the walkie talkie we needed for the game and just kind of threw us into the room. We had a third person who actually gave us hints as we asked for them in the experience, which also felt like a bit if a disconnect, as we never met that person. When the game ended, the original person who checked us in told us we had gone over our time by "5 or 7 minutes", which was actually not true when we checked the time based on when we actually started the room vs when we had been scheduled to start the room. The whole experience left a bad taste and I'm not sure I would opt to do another room here. Very disappointing, as we're avid escape room fans.

Half way through the game, an employee barged in to fix something that I assume wasn't reset properly from the last session, totally messing up our vibe and causing confusion. Not what you want to experience when you're paying almost $400 for one hour of fun. This place was overpriced in my opinion. We've been to so many other escape rooms that were much more updated and costed half the price. They also were not accommodating with the Groupon I was trying to purchase it with. We had a group of ten and would need to purchase a 4 person and 6 person Groupon, which they would not allow even though the room accommodated 10 people. Do yourself a favor, spend the same or less and go to the Bureau or Escapology.
