The UPS Store

The UPS Store

I recently used this store to ship a large coffee maker (25 lbs) back for warranty work. I had…read morepacked the coffeemaker myself and the owner warned me that without bubble wrap around the machine, UPS would not honor a damage claim. For a nominal fee the owner repacked the device. Well, wouldn't you know it, the machine got damaged in shipping. UPS honored the claim in large part because the owner verified that the package was packed correctly. Recently I receive payment from UPS to cover the damage. The owner of this store was helpful and courtesy very step of the way. I can't recommend him and his store highly enough. Hal Sandick

I'm not sure if she was trying to pull a scam but she scans my receipt with the QR code and then says I need to pay for a box. I asked why, because the instructions from amazon tell you that a box is not necessary (when you start the return) and literally the information on the receipt says "Show the return code to an associate, who will scan the QR code, pack, and ship your return for free." - See the photo below - I told her that I didn't need to provide a box and she refused to give me a receipt with my tracking information. We went round and round for several minutes about this, even after me reading the instruction information to her. I had to call amazon from the store (which took forever) and in the meantime I found a box, then pack it myself for this woman because she said that it was policy. I know it's not policy and the fact that she is forcing people to buy a box at their ridiculously marked up prices is absolutely outrageous. This location has had particularly bad customer service in the past and this was officially the last straw for me. Called in to Amazon and they opened up an investigation. In the meantime, be warned and don't get hustled.

Each time I've come in, I've been promptly greeted and efficiently helped. This location has some of the best UPS customer service I've experienced. It's also a USPS drop-off site, so you can easily kill two birds with one stone here. The big downside to this location is the terrible parking lot. There's a strange one-lane entrance ramp and then an exit drive that cuts behind the building. That's not a problem, but some people can't seem to figure it out and block the entrance ramp because they decide to go out the wrong way. Parking on the street is much easier if you can find a spot and want to avoid a headache.

The male worker- who saw me waiting but ignored making eye contact with me multiple times (which was odd but red flag #1)- called the gentleman who JUST walked into the store, in line behind me, to the counter to be served. Completely ignored me, blatantly. It was obnoxiously disrespectful. I left the store quietly after realizing what just happened, unsure why, and headed to another UPS location I know has better service. I only came to this location because it was closer to where I was prior, but I will never be returning to this location again. As a black woman and the only individual who looked like me in this store this whole time- this was very disgusting to experience while everyone else was served in order, with smiles- until I got to the counter.??? Very disrespectful and disappointing. This place needs to be shut down this coming year. Bye bye.

I like that you can mail USPS, UPS and FedEx, so if you have multiple items, you can bring them to one location. Besides shipping, they offer mailbox rentals and printing, copying, and shredding services. They also have a notary and take passport photos. I believe they will also package items to mail for a fee. One side of the building is a gift shop with some unique gifts. If you are looking for a location to ship items or need other services, this is the place to go.

For those of us who are Amazonites, if you time it right, free packaging and shipping with tracking receipt provided @ your local office store that starts with an "S" is kind of unbeatable, but as more folks discover it, the lines are getting longer and harder to time. We've used Ship On Site for personal shipping overseas, national work shipping that requires high efficiency and speed, and yes - Amazon returns. It's conveniently located right off Capital on Wake Union Church Rd, with access that enables easy off-and-on Capital Blvd via easy-access and egress through the strip center with Big Lots and an Ace Hardware to which it is adjacent. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and it has a connected gift shop that has super cool unique cards and related items. Check it out, definitely worth your time. Will add a few pics later this week to top this review off.
