After walking in, I hadn't gotten the sentence, "Hi, how are you?" out of my mouth before the clerk huffed a huge sigh, shook his head, interrupting "How can I help you?" He was visibly frustrated that I had the AUDACITY to drop off a package. I responded calmly with "It's only a drop off." He proceeded to scan my package and quickly handed me my receipt. I understand the frustrations with work, having a bad day, and managing bad customers. But if customers arrive within open hours, they shouldn't be handled as if they're an inconvenience. I came around 4pm on a Wednesday and there was no line. The guy at the counter did tell me he had a backlog of jobs and it would take up to 2 hours to get to mine, but I had planned to drop it off and pick it up anyway. Quality: There was definitely some miscommunication here. I asked for the book to be unbound and 3 hole punched. He said they did not have a 3 hole puncher. I said just unbinding it was fine and I'd hole punch it myself. I was planning to put it i to a binder so I could insert notes inbetween pages. When I picked up my book, it was unbound but placed in one of those multi ringed spirals. NOT what I wanted at all -- just leaving it without all those holes would've been preferred so that I could just hole punch it myself, but now there are multiple holes for the spiral. When I asked if it could be removed easily, he seemed reluctant and pulled out a pair of scissors. I should have asked for a refund because the spiral binding itself cost $4, and it ruined my $40 book because I still need to remove the spiral so I can insert notes, but now am not sure if I should 3 hole punch it or not since it might destroy the integrity of the paper margin. :( I'm pretty bummed about the situation, and wish the guy could have just called the number I left on the order paper to clarify what I wanted.

So I packed up and made my way to WaveMAX. From the moment I opened the door I was super impressed. I've been to a handful of different laundry mats in my life and this is hands down one of the top ones that I have ever been to. I immediately noticed that it did not smell of stale laundry and water that most do. You know exactly what I am talking about. I was greeted by Dana, a very friendly and knowledgeable worker that could tell I was a little out of my element. She quickly started helping me and relocated my laundry to the smaller washers to help save some money and explained EVERYTHING to me. She walked through each step with me. She showed me how to get my laundry card to pay for the machines and how to reload my card. She showed me how the machines operate and which dispensers are for my liquid detergent or dry, etc. I mean she was detailed and very helpful. She was amazing. She clearly knew I was lost and did not make me feel stupid at all. The machines at this place are very updated and clean. When you get your load card to pay, you attach your phone number which allows you to receive a text to your phone when your load is complete from washing or drying. I had about 6 loads so it even gave you the washer number or dryer number. Super helpful!! If you are trying to find somewhere to do your laundry I highly recommend this place! Dana is awesome and the place is clean and new!
