Somehow, the downtown Wilmington Post Office manages to exceed my expectations every time. There are two bald headed males who work there, the one with the glasses was very nice and professional, the one without the glasses asked me a rude question "Is this envelope yours"..? As in implying if I paid for the pre stamped envelope, common sense would say how else would I get it? The only way to get a pre stamp envelope, is to purchase it directly from the employee. I already brought the pre stamp envelope with me before entering the store, that means the envelope is already paid for , then once I answered him yes, he purposely overcharged me, when I came in the day before when the nice bald headed employee with glasses rang up my total , it was $9.17 , the next day when the bald headed employee without the glasses rang me up, he overcharged me $10.47, which I thought it was very odd, I didn't question it, but I wanted to share this on Yelp, I will NEVER ever go to this location again. The bald headed employee without the glasses needs to be either retrained or terminated .. We live behind a gate on a farm for animals that only locks late at night and they often try to deliver after the gate is locked (it's like 8-9pm!!) then they say my package is undeliverable and will be redelivered. But they never redeliver them. The weekend delivery workers won't deliver our packages **at all** and we never see them after the first delivery attempt. We've lost so much money because they are so overworked they have to deliver late, late into the night and on weekends they are so rushed they don't deliver at all.

This UPS store is a hidden gem in Leland. Its located right by the Harris Teeter for those new to…read moretown as I am. The owner, Luther, is honest and a real businessmen as well as a caring human being. I was shipping a package to England and he explained to me that he would be more expensive and I could go to the Post office but he would be happy to box it up for me. I asked him if he could guarantee my package would arrive and he said yes (and with amazingly accurate tracking online!) Something the Post office cannot do shipping overseas FYI - take it from the girl who's got about 5 packages floating around out there. My package arrived on time, in beautiful condition and I thank Luther and his store for that. From now on, no matter where I ship, I will go to this store and use Luther's services. Plus - while you wait, you get the added bonus of looking at lovely candles and cards! how can you go wrong with that :) Just for the pricing reference as I'm sure most would want to know - the box was about 2 feet wide, 1 1/2 foot deep and the contents in it were quite heavy and the price was $200 to ship. at the postal office the pricing would have been 75$. the Postal office will give you insurance but you can't track it accurately. I have experienced this the hard way shipping to Norway - that package got returned twice, and the 3rd time *each time I paid $40 to ship it yet again) it took 5 weeks to arrive and it arrived open and the contents empty. So in the end, I paid more than I would have and it took almost 3 months in all to ship a bottle of perfume and some various items to my colleague.. Therefore, regarding the UPS store, I was and will remain to be more than willing to pay the extra money to know that the contents of the package will reach its intended audience - and in one piece.

Today there were 8 people in line out the door and 3 employees behind the counter just standing there doing nothing...well actually one was wiping down counters. When requested for help since they were just standing there, they said they had been instructed not to do so. I could understand it if snyone at all had needed something, but that was not the case. They were asked by most of the people coming in to see the line and them just standing there. Perhthey need a UPSonly line that is waited on fist, like First Class at airport, and then help others. It was absolutely ridiculous and a rainy day to boot. Pick another location for your returns.
