Owner of this franchise has directed his/her employees to NOT check in any Amazon returns except having the customer do it themselves through the kiosk. Today there were 8 people in line out the door and 3 employees behind the counter just standing there doing nothing...well actually one was wiping down counters. When requested for help since they were just standing there, they said they had been instructed not to do so. I could understand it if snyone at all had needed something, but that was not the case. They were asked by most of the people coming in to see the line and them just standing there. Perhthey need a UPSonly line that is waited on fist, like First Class at airport, and then help others. Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a store!! Today I went in to complain about a situation and ask for a resolution. The "manager" on duty Shuron listened to the issue and then told me there was nothing he would do to resolve it or compensate me. They charged an older friend of mine $440 to overnight a CPAP machine from Wilmington, NC to Las Vegas Even though it was sent on a Saturday it did not arrive until Tuesday. When I asked to speak to the overall manager or owner he refused to give me their info or even a name and said he would have them "contact" me. At this time another employee by the name of Caya starting saying really loudly "Your doing an Amazing Job" to him and being very facetious. This was extremely embarrassing in front of the other customers in the shop. When I was leaving she rudely said "Have a nice day!!" To me. First time in this location. Went in to buy a box, place my own items in the box and come back in to mail it. I was fine with the wait etc as I had already waited in line because there were no boxes out for purchase. The lady didn't seem to want to sell me a box , very adamant that I bring ALL the items in and pack them there...that is absolutely absurd when I tell you it's a hundred little items, socks, little gifts, candy etc. To the point I walked out without them even selling me a box! Okay, so here I find myself living where my local UPS store CLOSES EARLY ON SATURDAYS?! And worse, they don't open until NOON on a Sunday?! Like not 9am? Not even 10am? But NOON?? What is wrong with a UPS store being closed during the only times most people can run errands? If we even have time to run errands period. I guess people don't have time to go to work either? Saturdays and Sundays are the busiest days for cramming in shopping and running errands- Amazon returns, any returns, picking up your mail, picking out packing materials etc etc, am I wrong? I dropped an item at this store to be packaged and shipped over 48 hours ago. The tracking info made me suspicious so I went back to the store today and the package is still in the store, not shipped. I have used this store several times before and the service is not good. They are obviously short handed if not somewhat incompetent but that is no excuse. Perhaps they have so much business they don't care about losing customers. In the future I'm going to drive a longer distance to another store where the employees are friendly and take care of business. There is no excuse other than poor management. read more

Went in to get a paper notarized. Was greeted my a younger gentleman that told me to go ahead & sign once I showed him my drivers license. Then a guy walks in that he apparently knew & gives him a thumb drive & he leaves me standing there. An older gentleman finally greets me & I said I was waiting on the guy I just spoke with to finish up the paper work. The guy never returned. The older gentleman said I was suppose to sign the paper in front of him so I explained that they other guy told me to sign it & never came back(showed him my ID as well). He finished my transaction & notarized the paper for me & mailed it. From what I could tell, if the 2 gentleman knew you... You'd get waited on pretty quick! read more

This has been a great place for me to handle a lot of business; I'm a business sales advisor with Apple, Inc. and they've been available to assist with a lot. This morning I came to quickly print 2 pages, and I was charged $3.00. That is insane- as a loyal customer to this store I'm disappointed by that like literally $3.00 for a sheet of paper and 2 minutes on the computer. I was out in 5 minutes and even restated what just happened "I was really just charged $3.00 for a sheet of paper, and the sales associate just said, yup" There's usually one person I always work with in there and she's so awesome but these new kids don't understand surprise and delight, so that was the last $3.00 I'll spend there, I'll get my blue prints, documents, and mailbox elsewhere. read more

So when my (now) daughter-in-law's wedding flowers were held up in transit, Myesha came to my rescue! The UPS customer service line doesn't easily allow you to connect with a human being, but Myesha was persistent and finally she reached a manager at the 23rd Street Hub! Not only did Ms. Sylvia locate the flowers, she allowed the groom's father to pick them up AND she opened the box (with our permission of course) to insure that the flowers were intact (the box was also broken). This UPS store is a hidden gem in Leland. Its located right by the Harris Teeter for those new to town as I am. The owner, Luther, is honest and a real businessmen as well as a caring human being. I was shipping a package to England and he explained to me that he would be more expensive and I could go to the Post office but he would be happy to box it up for me. I asked him if he could guarantee my package would arrive and he said yes (and with amazingly accurate tracking online!) Something the Post office cannot do shipping overseas FYI - take it from the girl who's got about 5 packages floating around out there. My package arrived on time, in beautiful condition and I thank Luther and his store for that. From now on, no matter where I ship, I will go to this store and use Luther's services. Plus - while you wait, you get the added bonus of looking at lovely candles and cards! how can you go wrong with that :) Just for the pricing reference as I'm sure most would want to know - the box was about 2 feet wide, 1 1/2 foot deep and the contents in it were quite heavy and the price was $200 to ship. at the postal office the pricing would have been 75$. the Postal office will give you insurance but you can't track it accurately. I have experienced this the hard way shipping to Norway - that package got returned twice, and the 3rd time *each time I paid $40 to ship it yet again) it took 5 weeks to arrive and it arrived open and the contents empty. So in the end, I paid more than I would have and it took almost 3 months in all to ship a bottle of perfume and some various items to my colleague.. Therefore, regarding the UPS store, I was and will remain to be more than willing to pay the extra money to know that the contents of the package will reach its intended audience - and in one piece. read more

I had to go to this store in regards to a package that I had shipped from there that got returned due to a mistake I had made with the address. I was hesitant to ship it a 2nd time, even though the fault had been mine, because it had been fairly expensive to ship the first time. In a nutshell, the man helping me was the owner and as he was investigating how much it would be to ship again he discovered that I had been overcharged the first time. The owner made right on this by not charging me to re-ship my package. I was very impressed with his honesty and integrity. I did not know I had been over charged and he didn't have to tell me but he did and he compensated me for the mistake. The owner showed great honesty and integrity while doing business with me and I wanted to thank him for this by writing this review. I had the worst experience at the UPS store. The gentleman that was working there was outside talking when I got there forcing me to wait on him to get logged in to his system. I called before i made the drive up there to get a quote, i was told between $40-70 out the door i asked to confirm "$80 will cover if for sure then correct?" i was told absolutely. After getting everything weighed and measured, i asked for a total and was told $68. After swiping my card the machine ask is this amount correct $97, $30 more than the total that i was just told. When i asked where this $30 came from, i was told $11 for a box and $9 for packing supplies. I'm not a mathematician but 11 + 9 does NOT = 30. After asking for a break down in what is being charged the gentleman got frustrated with me for, i guess asking questions. Now running behind and in NEED of getting my item shipped, I had no choice but to pay the outrageous amount. I wouldn't recommend this store to ANYONE, the service is awful and what you are getting it is ridiculously over priced. I will NEVER use this store again it has ruined me from using UPS all together. Next time i'll make the drive across town to fedex. read more
