The weekend drivers refuse to use the Amazon locker. Today is June 15th, 2025 and my package was thrown next to the locker and in the unsecured lobby. The driver then out on the Amazon site that my 2nd package was left in my mailbox and it is NOT in my mailbox. Therefore, it appears there is a lie and a theft. I have spoken to the weekend drivers multiple times and they refuse to follow protocol. read more

This is, without a doubt, the worst single post office I have ever encountered. I have lost track of the amount of time I've spent on the phone with them trying to get them to just LEAVE PACKAGES ON OUR EVER-LOVING FRONT STEPS FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY. Or, more often than not, NOT spending time on the phone, since pretty much every time I try to call them it rings and rings until it gives me a busy signal and then disconnects. Just in the last two months we've had four packages returned without the carrier leaving us any notice at all, so we didn't know it had happened until the people trying to send them to us asked us about them. We'd even gotten this all sorted when we first moved here (after about another several months of phone calls and aggravation), but now they have a new route and so they've apparently just...erased and/or forgotten all info. I spoke to someone from the local office on Friday, after having submitted a service request through the main USPS line (and an hour long hold), who promised the situation would be fixed starting Saturday, but we had another package that failed to be delivered for the exact same reasons TODAY. In person service is very slow and frequently incompetent. We've had to explain things repeatedly to the same person several times, and often they didn't even let us finish our explanation before trying to second guess us about what might have happened, when in fact we had documentation. (And we were right.) Just....UGH. If I COULD choose my own post office, I'd choose ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

I give the post office one star because of the in person encounter I just had with a woman in the left slot counter when facing it. I have been going to this post office for over 3 years. I walk my small dog in a dog carriage, she is tied in with three lines and Has a cover on the carriage. I walk 3 Miles downtown every day and bring the dog in for mail services daily. NO ONE has ever said a word to me. The dog is completely contained. I don't want to leave her outside because she could get stolen. This woman made a point to ruin my once beautiful day by telling me I could no longer bring the dog in. Every employee in that building has seen the dog and is aware she would harm no one. Yes, there is a sign that she must be a service dog. She is a service to me. I find It ridiculous that government services allow Men in women's bathrooms but I cannot bring a fully contained small dog into the post office to keep her from being stolen. It Was a slow morning there. I was buying Stamps when she informed me. I believe this person was having a bad day and wanted to make sure mine went badly as well. She pointed out that everyone had to be treated as equal but is this really true? Every one else there is nice, professional and efficient. read more

I have been trying to call this post office (910-313-3293) today for the last 4 hours. The phone just rings and rings. No one answers it. Is the post office closed on Fridays from 9:00am to 1:00pm? USPS employees have got to be the most disrespectful individuals I know. They are never held accountable. Guess, I will keep trying. read more

This post office is awful as of late. Have not received mail on more than one occasion, and we are a business that gets plenty of mail daily Monday through Friday. Tried to call them to see what the problem is and the phone number goes to a fax machine. Two numbers were given to me and tried both several times to no avail. I was expecting a package on Friday and hoping it comes today (Wednesday). It's been sitting at the post office since Friday. They claim by text message that they tried to deliver it twice but they did not. Very dissatisfied!!!! read more

I run an Etsy store, so I have plenty of reasons to avoid the Post Office. Long lines, surly employees, confusing options--all par for the course when you need to send a package or envelope, right? Somehow, the downtown Wilmington Post Office manages to exceed my expectations every time. Lines move quickly, employees are consistently informative and friendly (even funny sometimes), and I've never had a lost package. As an added bonus: the building is old and beautiful. Way to get it right for once USPS. read more

I'm not very familiar with the post office as of yet. I did rent a post office box for six months that cost me a little over 50 dollars. I don't remember it ever being that much for half the year. Also I'm not sure what the code is to get inside to actually check my mail when they are closed. I can't find a number to connect me with a human being to be able to ask about the code that I need. This post office has done nothing - and I mean nothing. My address is "invalid" according to them (yet I get regular mail just fine) so I can't order supplies or ship anything to my house. I've paid for parking 3 times and talked to a supervisor to fix. They say it's easy, just need to add my address in their system. It's been since December and still not fixed. I refuse to pay parking again and try to call when trying to do this AGAIN, their number was busy for 3 hours. Another time I called got a notice to call to reschedule deliver OR come pick up. I requested "come pick up" and again paid for parking, yet after 30 minutes waiting in line i was told they goofed and redelivered my package. And of course I wasn't home so I got another notice. Another time suck and waste of my hard earned money. This post office needs to get their act together. read more

-457345730574 stars! I had a Package that said delivered on March 3rd. I go down there to see if I can talk to the post master... Nope not there as usual. So I go to the front desk which I waited in line for maybe 20 mins. Guy tells me the mail carrier put it in my box & scanned it between a beige house and blue house and I need to file a police report. How do you know he scanned it between a beige and blue house do you have cameras on your mail people? I THINK NOT! Apparently he google imaged my house in the back while I waiting, to see what my house looked like. Come March 9th my package came... I thought you said it was delivered but someone stole it?! STRAIGHT UP LIED! just be honest and say y'all lost it and recovered it! Liars straight up and probably thieves too. I have never been so against a business in my life. If this happens to you take it up with the online seller not these heathens. read more

The USPS tops one of my least favorite places to go to... BUT if you're lucky enough to have Major help you, you'll think that you're visiting the best post office ever! So helpful, very kind, and probably the best government employee around. He makes this experience much better than you expect! read more

Sadly, I live in the zip code for the downtown Post Office. Their service is third world at best, nonexistant at worst. My mail delivery seems to be at the whim of whomever is inhabiting the mail room on a given day. Phone calls go unanswered, in-person complaints ignored. Best I've been able to do in the 5 years of enduring this is to complain to the District Postal facility in Charlottsville. That usually results in some activity - for a while. USPS is losing money because their employees have attitude problems, are lazy, and spoiled! Also, Oleander Drive PO is not terrific - very rude service. Best PO's I've used are in Carolina Beach and Monkey Junction (Myrtle Grove PO). read more

I love going to this post office! #1 it's a gorgeous old building, but then the lines move quickly & the people at the window are always a treat to interact with & leave me smiling every time. They are knowledgeable & efficient, but also quite personable. You feel like you are dealing with real people who are excellent at their jobs, but also like people & want to be helpful - & they are. I avoid the Oleander station like the plague & felt like I had entered the gulag when I had to go there. The station across the river in Leland is also excellent, efficient & the people at the counter are always nice to deal with, so along with the Front Street office in Wilmington, a joy to deal with. read more

My review is more about the mail delivery services not the actual post office. I have had so much trouble getting the carrier to take our out going mail. I live in rental house where I'm sure, over the years there have been many come and go. We receive tons of mail which are put back in box as "Return To Sender". I have had to literally chase after to carrier to get her to take it. She has said " its frustrating to have some much RTS mail. Why are you getting it so often?" #1 that should not concern you. #2 your job is to drop off n deliever mail..not criticize its contents, and #3 there been times she has run past our box or throw in something and run..what do I do? read more
